I wonder.. considering there's only nine pool sets
Five Ancillaries, and Four patrons, leading to eighteen collapsible tabs, would it be possible to just open the customization of ALL pools at creation? You could choose which Pool/Ancillary/Patron to customize just as you do primaries and secondaries, no separate menu or anything and if you're not going to take a set, ignore it, it would also be neat because you can experiment with the look of Pools at creation and have a more fully developed idea of how your character and their powers would look together when you start, and, for some, a better idea of which pools you'd want to take.

    Wisp Aura?

The launcher isn't a big deal for me
I will say I LOVE the aura. It's a nice complement to the Atomic aura, especially since it's not orbiting the center so much as floating near it and the movement is more delayed, putting the auras on fists also makes them disperse and regroup after animations, which is awesome.

The full-body aura is pretty fantastic too.
  3. Zortel is now my most favorite Good-poster. You all need to work harder to compete
  4. Well I sort of dislike the Concept of "Incarnates" entirely. Something connected to origin would have been more open to everybody, explored a background thing nobody really cared about (ala Incarnates) and would have made Player Characters feel more individually important.
edit: I forgot about the "Origin of Power" >.< Got-Darnit!

Please tell me this isn't true. PLEASE tell me this isn't true.
  6. If you start ending ALL your posts with the "XD" emote, you'd be perfect
  7. Lucky666 you are my favorite horrible forum poster ever
  8. Local, that's a fantastic idea I hadn't even thought of until you said it.
  9. Well I'd be up to help for anything up to and including minor tweaks and ideas to the Mission Architecture.
  10. why not both?
Edit: That is to say, let's not lose a sense of humor pursuing drama.
  11. Works good with Ninja and beast run too,
You get the standing animations, the Jump animations, but they still slide and have the blue/purple feet glow.

Yeah, The idea is ripped straight from Soul Eater where the characters operate in pairs. One is a weapon-user, the other is a human being who can transform entirely or partly into the weapon being used (except for Death the Kid who uses two girls who turn into two pistols because screw you he's Death the kid)

The idea I had was to have my character be able to fight on his own, then when the partner used a weapon power, switch into a very inconspicuous costume with an all-the way shrunken body and activate a stealth power that doesn't have the visuals(actual invisibility optional) become more opaque in combat, then continue to fight without being all that easy to see.

The other, slightly more accurate version of this is to just attack, placate, then run away to let the others fight and pretend I'm the weapon in my partner's hands, but that's a huge sacrifice to make for concept and just is a horrible idea.

Perhaps get your friend to take Grant Invisibility, as I think the recipient will appear invisible (at least more than stealth) for the duration of the buff, though the stealth effect, that is, the one that stops enemies seeing you, will suppress as soon as you attack, but can be re applied at any time so long as the caster can be bothered. I'm pretty sure weapons would remain visible (I seem to remember at least powers like Stone Mallet remaining visible in the hands of my curiously grant invised stone/stone tank), but if they did i would suggest something along the lines of an axe/mace tank/brute as they seem to have the most varied in customizable weapons; your owner could summon you as a medieval battle axe, fireman's axe, rikti sword, and a hatchet, or as a club, warmace, sledgehammer, pipe wrench, baseball bat, SHOVEL. If it were me I'd probably go for war mace, unless the more 'makeshift' weapons don't really fit your friend's character concept, in which case axe or maybe broadsword (or dual blades for the I HAVE TWO SWORDS ON MY TEAM factor)
good idea, I especially like it because it involves the Partner performing an action to the "weapon" specifically one where they hold their hand out, leading for the perfect opening of them appearing in the hand to be weilded. What was actually on my mind was a Spines/Something Stalker and An Archery Something Defender/Corruptor/Blaster. or Trick arrow Something Defender/Controller/Mastermind/Corruptor. Spines has a nice collection of ranged attacks to match the concept, and isn't available on melee sets meaning we wouldn't be crowding each other or taking away from the other's purpose in a team. And with a defender/Corruptor to back up the Stalker becomes stronger and the team might sync better, and powers like Grant invisibility and maybe Recall Friend fit in better than on other builds.
    Edit;
FURTHERMORE! if they use trick-arrows I can take /ninjutsu to emulate the tricks of said arrowing!

While I don't disagree with you, those three issues were very closely spaced. Maybe Issue 21 is coming up much sooner and will hold more for everyone. These last three isssues feel more like stuff that would have just been the entirety of Going rogue had it taken longer to develop. That would probably be the reason incarnates and such have been GR require content.
  14. So I had this idea of duo-ing with another player, playing as a sentient partner that would transform into their weapon of choice, things are vague at the moment, but I'm trying to come up with a build that can be invisible/transparent even more often than a usual stalker(obviously He's going to have to be a stalker) to get the "Transforming into someone else's weapon" thing going without just dropping into hide and running away whenever the partner attacked.

Is there any power/proc+power combination that will maintain visual transparency in-combat?

  17. What agnor is talking about is more the "Pretending to fight" animations some characters take in both missions and outdoors where they perform "attack emotes" on each other but don't do damage.
Edit: So, say, any objective where you can dictate what animations the enemies are doing before they see you would work. Maybe make a boss of group a, or if using custom critters, a character with mastermind powers to get the whole mob effect, be a "rescue" objective and have them "betray" and attack everything nearby, including group b
  18. I think you can use the fighting animations for spawns around objectives and bosses and such.
I've had spawns beating up hostages before.

If you want I can run some missions with your character this weekend to help out.

  21. sounds fun we'd be happy to have you. We're not so serious about keeping in-level and my character is behind enough that we can catch up together on off days if you want.
  22. ((We can totally Dynamic Duo it, but I'm not sure if I can come today, pretty sure my equipment at work will still be broken, thus I'll still be put to more active duties))
  23. I don't think the issue is "Validity" of a group but rather simply a "Tagging" system so at a quick glance a player could find out what a group is all about
