Spelled it wrong and now you're the one being rude...suck on that one. =P -
It wasn't a personal attack. Oftentimes when it comes to awkward artwork, it's done by a child or very young person. A lot of times when people critique art "too harshly" they get the artist's age thrown back in their face, "He's only 10, so I think that's pretty good for his age!"

Other than the arm proportions being off, all 3 of these last ones were great. Not gunna quote them all since they're large pics.
That "aww...do you have a boo boo?" one is really weird. Was that done by a young kid or something? I'd understand if that were the case. =q
The one in the glass is good. -
I believe all of us were actually talking about OOC cliques. I can't speak for the others but that's the idea I got from them.

Quote:A clique is usually a sign of a close bond between people, which sounds great and can be. The problem is when the SG leader and many of the officers are in one. The clique makes it hard for new members to feel welcomed and 95% of the time, isn't good for the long-term.While I dislike the idea of a supergroup BEING a clique, I think a successful role-playing group will exhibit some clique-like behaviors. Any group must be selective on membership, and RP groups all the more. Leading a story-driven group means keeping a certain balance, helping to maintain the zone of suspension of disbelief for the members of the group. To that end, a role-playing group's leader tends to choose people that a) match the concept of the group, b) will be an asset to the ongoing story, and c) will enjoy and get something out of group interplay. So while it may mean no l33t d00dz, it also might mean no god-mode players (even if they happen to be sensational role-players), or even other limitations. Such is the nature of a themed, story-driven supergroup. The ongoing problem are the cries of elitism that spring up from those who don't fit, or those who join but are later found to be a bad fit, mostly made by people who don't seem to get that we don't think we're better than they are, just different.
I think that's something we've lost as a society. In all our politically correct tolerance and acceptance of everyone else, we've forgotten that sometimes people just get along better with people most like them, and that not every group with a code of conduct and a list of conditions of acceptance is Inherently Evil™.
(Sorry, Pravalen. This post wasn't directed at you, but yours kicked off the thought process in my head, which is why it ended up being quoted.) -
Based on those pics, Atlas Trooper should have taken that one. =D

Quote:QFT!Personally the thing I don't like about SGs is many turn into clique supporters. Favoritism grows into being a large factor in swaying one's decision in what is accepted and what isn't or who can do what and when or why.
This is my number 1 pet peeve in any SG/VG/guild/legion, whether RP or not. It's a big problem when the leader and/or many of the officers are members of a clique. Cliques discourage new members and piss off people like me. =q -
Quote:Thanks for the post. I was starting to think that everyone was under the impression that there was only one conclusion when it came to the topic of RP SG/VG members not "helping" the group out. And yes, there are people that say there aren't events when there are and never attend them. But I believe they are few and maybe even being misinterpreted as members that dislike the events and just expect them to improve by simply complaining. Either way, if you're one of those members then you need to either speak up to the leader or just move on to a better-suited SG/VG.Well, I don't really have anything to say in response to your previous post because it's all pretty much agreeable. If there aren't any events going on and there isn't any source of open RP, then it would be rather absurd to expect newbies to be joining events and open RP, wouldn't it? The issue of "new people being deadbeats" is more targeted towards those who don't join the stuff that is happening and then complain that stuff isn't happening. As mentioned in my previous post, we're an active group and still get new people who just kind of fade away.

lol
Good to know, I suppose. -
And here I was expecting to have a decent reply to my decent post. Nope, just a bunch of bickering. =q

A common problem I see, which may or may not have to do with some of the people Genia is talking about, is that some RP SG/VG officers don't help out new recruits enough so that they can get involved. It only takes something like a meet-and-greet (Which could just be a SG meeting), in which the new recruit can meet other members. Once they feel comfortable with people then it's easy to get involved in RP within the SG, whether officially organized events or not.
It's been a common occurrence with SG's (or even guilds, legions, and etc. from other MMO's) that the group hardly has any organized RP events. Now if this isn't a problem to a new member then they need impromptu-RP with other members that they know to a good enough degree to actually accept RP offers or even to initiate them.
I believe that some RP SG/VG officers are under the assumption that some recruits are just lazy and not contributing; however, it quite possibly could be that these officers didn't take the initiative (or enough of it) to make them feel welcome. On the other hand, I'm sure that there are some players that are just too lazy and only want to do RP events and maybe complain a lot. I've done my fair share of complaining about RP SG's/guilds/legions that hardly have RP events, cancel planned events, just never RP, and etc.
I'm sure I left something out that I intended to add to this post but whatever. =P -

I'll be there Friday. Not that anyone cares since I'm a returning player that no one really knows. =P
A group of my friends had their ride bail on them. I'm the only one with a car they know that'd be interested in going so they're paying for my ticket and we'll split expenses 4 ways. It'll be a 2-3 hour drive but long drives are usually relaxing. -
Cool, thanks for the answer. =)

Can a rogue join either a SG or VG and can a vigilante join either a SG or VG? Hope you get what I'm asking. =P
Thanks for the guide but as a returning player, it was a bit overwhelming and a little difficult to follow. -_-' -
Quote:Oh...that's epic! Now you just need to make 24. =qOperative 33, (Crab Spider) is based heavily on Henchman 21. Hailing originally from a gang quite similar to the Gold Brickers, he brought a pair of Jet-Boots, a Tommy Gun (Dangit I want weapon customization for VEATS!!) and a "Henchin' ain't easy but it sure is fun!" attitude to Arachnos.
None of the rest of my characters have direct inspiration from other characters, that I can remember. -
Because we can hardly see anything in that pic and that must mean the NPC has an anti-photographic aura? A paparazzi's worst nightmare...
