I cannot get WP's S/L resist past about 74% no matter what I do - should I build for regen past that or try to reslot some and try to get 45% S/L defense through sets (assuming money isn't much of an object as long as I'm not slotting dozens of purples and Kinetic Combats and the like?)

Please respond quickly, I'd like to have this build done before the third freespec. Thank you.

Just as a question on the market, what is the educated guess about when the PvP IOs will start coming down in price? Is it always going to be 'more people are making more characters, so things will always be more and more expensive' or can anyone see a point in the future where the PvP IOs will start coming down in price? Are we trending up or down?

What server was this done on? Virtue?

Equasion, we're friends. I think you're a great guy. But... isn't 'Oh, gee, guys, stop fawning over me and and treating me like a dev and asking me what it's like to be famous!' sort of.. counterproductive? You're shouting 'IGNORE ME!' from the tops of the rooftops wearing pumps and a tutu here. Wouldn't it just be, y'know, more cost-effective to tell people 'look, I'm just a dude who had a character idea, I'm nobody special, stop harassing me.' in private?

I know that's probably what you've done, in fact I'm sure you've done it plenty of times, but this sort of smacks of passive-aggressive attention *******. Son, Vent Crew is dissapoint.

The ITF stuff is good, but as for fun? Random AE stuff, NOT the Dev's Choice crap. I didn't see any of those that were any fun. Radio mission grinding is probably the fastest, but monotonous.

Well. So after however many months of sitting in the IRC channel, listening to you and Aesir and The_Capn and Sede tell me what a sub-human I was, I finally decided to have a nice, clean break - plus a severance package.

You know I've been a member of the Circle of Jerks since Issue 3. And back then, it was nice. But as time's gone on all I've seen is fail. Fail, fail, and more fail. When was the last time one of you said word one nice about me? But I stuck around, because folks like Ribbon and Kitan and yes, Ex-, they were all decent folks. They were my friends, and I don't abandon my friends just because of some Jerks.

But I finally had enough, and left, with my loot. And then I found out it was Ex-. Did he tell you we spent some time on IRC talking? He's a good guy. He's one of the people who was always decent. And I wish I hadn't taken any of his stuff. So I still had most of the things I'd taken, minus some of the basic invention IO stuff, and got back in touch with him. His character, Clod Dirtnap, has most of his stuff back (7 Crushing Impact enhancements of various levels and a couple Stupefy enhs), an extra 10 million beyond that, and a proc recipe I had lying around. (And don't lie - there wasn't a LotG in that stack, and you know it.)

I didn't give it back because I wanted your forgiveness, or even his. I'm glad I took the stuff, heck, if I'd found out it'd been almost anyone else, they would have never seen it again. I did it because he's a decent guy. I have no guilt in my heart about anything that happened.

I heard it said recently that it's harder to leave an old social group than to join a new one, even when the old one is negative and toxic. Consider this an official notice - The Circle of Jerks aren't worth my time anymore. Can you even imagine why CEO of Earth doesn't come around anymore?

Oh, I'm not against being buried in catgirls, but I'm usually square enough to not call it roleplaying. If I've got catgirls, I'm too busy to be playing much of anything. Singing, maybe. o/` Oh sweet mystery of life at last I've found thee! o/`

Please don't think that the roleplayers are in Pocket D. There's a few, but they're buried in catgirls.

Most of the roleplayers on the server that I've found are the ones who're out playing the game. Approach groups in a roleplaying mindset, and people will tend to be more receptive to roleplaying with you.

So last night, in the early EST AM, I've got my new corruptor and I'm running a ToT team in Sharkhead. I've got 8 people, we're holed up just outside the hospital, we've got one person hitting the door (changing when someone else wants a few shots or the current ding'n'ditcher wants off) so we don't get multiple tricks, we're focusing on one door, hitting witches/sorcs/crones as they come out and then whatever else came with them, it's been 3 or 4 hours in the same place for me and I've replaced the whole team two or three times.. y'know, it's a working, smoothly operating Halloween salvage/inf/exp grind.

So I invite this girl onto my team, and a few minutes later, crash. (One of those lovely new 'everything freezes up and nothing responds, but you're still in the game crashes. Yay, I16. Yay, Halloween Event.) I kill the CoX program, restart it, log back in, and finally get back on the team. The new girl I invited has taken over. I'm honestly cool with this, as long as she's willing to invite people and use the system I set up I could really use the break from having half my screen covered with the Players Online window and my chat taken up with ((Hi! Would you like a ToT team in Sharkhead?)).

She hits the door, we plow the group under, just like that, and she runs off around the corner, hits the next door, and promptly gets floored by 5 mobs because none of the rest of us expected it. We go over, I rez her, the group trashes the mob.. and she does it again. Second verse, same as the first. We go over, have a little harder time beating these guys because a pack of grey miners are hooting and throwing feces at us from on top of the wall, but we do it. Before we can really catch our breath, she goes off to the NEXT door. Now, this time, we know what she's doing, and chase her - the group is strung out halfway around the block by this point, masterminds are out of position, I have to run back and forth to heal everybody, it's a mess. But this time, nobody dies (well, she might've died. I don't rightly remember.) and we pile up in front of another door around the block where she seems to have stopped for a moment.

Now, I'll admit, I've been talking to a friend or two on IRC and AIM all night long. It's what I do, play CoX and talk on IRC and AIM at night. I keep CoX in a window with the bottom pulled up so I can see the last 4-5 lines of the conversation, and I pretty much know exactly what I wanna say. I've been doing it all night (I've been doing it my entire CoX career!) and there's only been 4 deaths that weren't this girl's, two of which were rapid-fire 'corruptor clicked the door then stood there and caught 5 aggro shots' and two of which were 'Share Pain has 0.5 seconds longer between 'hit button' and 'heal target' than I'm used to.' I alt-tab, type for 20 seconds, and alt-tab back in. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but two of the team members are dead, and the new team leader has kicked me off the team and told us we're all half asleep, how could we lose track of her.

Like I said, I'm not much of a person to piss and moan, but this was highly annoying. I felt the need to discuss it with the group at large.

This corroborates multiple reports I've had from friends in Britain and on the East Coast who're having trouble connecting to/losing packets in droves while in City of Heroes. Something very bad is going on with this exchange.

So, I finally reupped to CoX a few days ago, and rejoined the Good Fight. I made a new character to play with a friend's supergroup, and relentlessly ground her from 1 to 50 over the weekend (dragging a friend who'd never had a 50 before in 4 years and 42 months of paid time along) to earn prestige and get her to a place where I felt good about playing her with the rest. Now I gotta say - the new SK/Exemp stuff has shot powerleveling directly in the face, but that's ok. If you really want to get a character up there, you can do it. You Can Do It. And hopefully you did do it over the weekend. Hell, if all you want is a 50, just make a character and play them relentlessly. It's not hard.

In any case, for everybody who teamed with my unnamed character over the weekend, I hope they had a good time. I'm sure they got leveled.

But the Flea is rather fleet. It's a feat to succeed in flight from a flock of Fleas.

Great! Only thing is, after looking, I don't actually have a 'fansite' to get the 'fansite package'. All I want is the font. Crap.

I've got a bunch of screenshots I'd like to add commentary to, but it'd be best if I had a font that I could use on the pictures that looked like the CoX fonts, the ones they use on the power selection windows and for getting salvage and enhancements, preferably a font I could use in Paint Shop Pro 6. Anyone have any idea where anything like this might be?
