The game isn't build around IO sets.

And they won't nerf entire powersets just because of IO sets. Perhaps they'll make certain sets unslotable, though

If your own enjoyment comes from EVERYONE ELSE, and everyone else around you MUST meet your expectations 100%, then you're doing something wrong.

Besides, with all your talk about how it's wrong to RP other characters to the extremes, and you're right, you are indirectly doing the exact same thing you're saying is bad by telling everyone "you're doing it wrong! Stop!"

Most likely the fire/psi permadom farmers are still crying. Oh well.

Virtue is gone. Chat channels are gone. Can't access global friends, or global ignore. When you go to edit chat tabs any channels you were in don't even exist, and the "add channel"/"remove channel" buttons are gone.

I'm a returning player who left the game sometime shortly after Issue 7 or so. I've been trying to bring myself up to speed again by lurking the forums, but many posts I see refer to so-and-so build being powerful if you have a zillion inf to sink into it.

My highest level character is a level 30 Claws/Regen and I gave the meager inf I had away when I left, so I am essentially starting fresh.

With that being said, what are some combinations that won't make me rip my hair out if I can only afford SOs?

I'd like to use either DM, DB, or claws as a primary since I have an irrational hatred of Build Up, but I'm honestly at a loss for secondaries... Back when I played, you were either Regen, DA, or possibly SR. Now, I don't even see mention of Regen in any posts and there's WP and SD to consider now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dark/Rad I hear is awesome.

Dark Miasma has -tohit, -res and -damage, while the attacks in radiation blast have a -def to their secondary. For, say...An AV fight, you could set up darkest night, plant a tar patch right under the AV, run right up and irradate (spelling) them, since it has I believe the highest -def value in rad, and now they have crap tohit, bad resistance, their damage is lowered, AND they have less defense.

Then please explain what you meant and what the proper "context" was. Because whatever you said made no sense to any of us. It looked like you were claiming that while CO only gets 7 powers, CoH only gets 10.

Alright fine, I'll keep this short and sweet: I was talking about the power trays only being able to hold 10 powers at a time in CoH.

I was just saying that it might be the case in CO as well.

It would be easy for someone new to CoH look at the first tray they get and say "oh we only get 10 powers? lame" and quit.

Of course, I cannot confirm or deny anything of that nature.

and that's different from the 8 powers in guild wars, or the 10 here (yeah yeah, you have 10 trays, but I doubt anyone uses them all...I use 3 at most, and even they aren't filled)
