It's a fair resemblance and a cool idea, though it honestly looks more like a work in progress than a careful or painstaking work of art. If it's more a "just for fun" lazy day activity, then that's probably all it needs to be.

I disagree, this depends on if the pair of them have any artistic ability at all. This is a fun piece, and I think with a little tweaking, they can use this as a spring board to an even better one. Now that you've built the large version, you gotta make the half size version... ah ha now there's the trick. Mass Production!!!

No, if I was going to say "it sucks" then I would say that. It's a cool idea but it's also a fairly rough piece of work. LadyJudgment brings up a good point about artistic ability and using it as a basis for tweaking and improvement, which also seems to tacitly acknowledge that as a piece of art this is a bit crude.
There's not necessarily anything wrong with that. If this was something whipped up on a whim on a lazy afternoon, it's actually pretty impressive. If this is an art project, then I'd call it a rough draft. It's not clear (at least to me) which this is from the OP.
