Actually I have been having a different problem. I tried to run the game since I17 came out on a system that I know will not handle Ultra Mode. The game loads up, but the cursor becomes rather choppy (as in just move the mouse slightly and it slideshows to where you want it to go, and this is at the account screen). As soon as I close out the game, the cursor moves perfectly.
Personally, it's almost as if Issue 17 created a stealth system requirement bump, since it ran absolutely fine before Issue 17 but now runs absolutely horribly on that system.

4) People complain about not finding teams on Virtue and Freedom, so that happens on EVERY server, not just the "ghost-town" servers.
5) During a Double XP/REACTIVATION Weekend, so that those who might come back and check the game out may ALSO check out other servers... which may be the reason they left in the first place because they weren't happy on the server they were playing on. Also, a Double XP/Reactivation Weekend that starts 2 days after pre-purchase of Going Rogue goes on sale... a Double XP/Reactivation Weekend which will have early usage of the Dual Blasters set with pre-purchase of Going Rogue. As for "significant resources", that is simply hyperbole... server transfers do not take "significant resources" to handle.
6) Because this is a marketing strategy... show the returning people the "new upcoming shinies" and they consider re-subscribing PLUS pre-purchasing Going Rogue. $30 plus $15/month returning subscription > $10 for server transfer. Steady stream of funds will always outweigh one-time fees.
6) The business rationale is "possible susbcription renewals and maybe more $30 Going Rogue pre-purchases because we end up netting more revenue to help with development of future updates than making the reactivated people pay $10 for server transfers".
7) The logical conclusion is what little they lose with the free server transfers during that extra free week has the opportunity for the company to receive exponentially larger revenue than if they reinstated the $10 server transfer fee before Double XP/Reactivation Weekend.

To be honest, I am not seeing any true incentive to prepurchasing... early access to the two new power sets is not really an incentive and seems more like a beta test of the two sets on the live servers so all the kinks will be worked out in terms of balance and playability before GR CC discs go gold.
Now, if they had offered the Complete Collection as a prepurchase online with the caveat that the free month would not be credited to the account until it released in retail stores in July, I would be more inclined to prepurchase.
If the base expansion prepurchase also came with the costumes/emotes/special power pack as well as the early access to the two power sets, then I would be more inclined to prepurchase.
As it stands now with what has been presented, I can wait until July... and I have a feeling many others will also.

Ocho is right... we don't know exactly what is going on in the P.S. offices concerning things like this.
I hope that someday, the tech will come about to have these type of pieces... but give them the opportunity to see if it is feasible first before passing judgment.

Shecky, to put things into perspective... I have been following The Agency (yeah I know it's SOE, but I want to at least check out an espionage themed MMO) and they haven't had an update since some Twitter posts... in June. Yeah... 7 months.
I think they are just very hard at work on GR making sure everything is going to work the way it should before releasing any new info (at least feature-wise)... but yeah, they should at least add in Tyrant's background on the GR page.

I think the main reason why people are still flaming you, especially in this thread, is because you decided to publicly post this apology. To be honest, if you felt like you had wronged other people, you could have simply sent them private messages to those people you have wronged... bringing it out to the public like this does have the appearance of seeking attention; it's akin to saying a nasty thing to a friend of yours and then going on CNN to apologize.
Don't get me wrong... being truly remorseful about what took place is fine. However, this situation really should have been dealt with privately.

It will be interesting to see how Moffat handles being the showrunner; that is much more on his plate than just being a writer. I hope he picked up a lot from Davies to help ease him into it, but right now he basically has jumped into the lion's den; we'll need to see if he can survive.
I am waiting to reserve judgment on Smith for at least half a season; it took Tennant that long to start to find his niche in the role.

I figured that I would check to see if I even had any characters on other servers that I would want to move (I had purged a bunch a long time ago), and found that I had one that hadn't been logged into for 698 days. I remembered the build and moved it.
Thank you for the free server transfer, Paragon Studios... now this character may have a chance to grow on my home server
