  1. I'd recommend dropping maneuvers from the leadership pool, you're only getting 5% from it, and it's an endurance hog. If you throw a sixth slot into tactics and put the full set in there, you get 2.5% to all positions back, so half of what maneuvers was doing for you, roughly. I've never been a huge fan of counting on that buildup proc for anything, but that's my opinion. You can throw the LotG global recharge from maneuvers into combat jumping, so you'll even out on recharge. I kind of feel like you're overslotting aid self; if you really need to use it that often, then something's wrong. If you're looking for easy defense, that smoke grenade actually applies an unresistable to-hit debuff, slotted with one debuff IO is about -5% to-hit for 60 seconds, which is cheap and handy.

Just my $.02 on it, I'm a bit sleepy and can't really focus on it. Maybe you'll free up a few slots doing these things and make something more out of it. Either way, enjoy!
  2. In reality, you're missing the truly fun part of this. Venom Grenade debuffs toxic resistance by 40%, Poisonous Ray is a pretty hard hitting attack that is entirely toxic damage. It's a pretty nifty combo, especially early on. For even more fun, in the late game, throwing Venom Grenade out with a shot of Shatter Armor on top of it makes for a permanently stackable double dose of -20% res to all. Enjoy!
  3. Here's what I plan on doing with mine. Given the ability to grab up patron pools, it's hard for me to pass up on Scorpion Shield. Slotting that bad boy up, along with some other choices, has got me soft-capped to lethal/smash/energy and well off against ranged attacks. Threw Focused Accuracy in on top of Tactics in case I ever feel like wandering into a pvp zone. Still won't see a beastly built stalker, but should catch anything else. Probably could have done a few things differently, but I'm happy with it.

  4. The next tip mission you do will actually trigger your morality mission. That is, of course, as long as your little alignment bar is full. You know, you do five tip missions, then wait 20 hours before doing another five. Simply doing ten tips missions in one run won't work, sadly.
  5. I'd like to stick up for ol' Regen a little bit, in a non-argumentative kind of way. Base regen isn't all there is in the equation. Granted WP has the added resistance/defense, but it does not have the power to click an icon and get half of your HP bar back, as with regen's reconstruction. With just SOs, this would be up every 30 seconds, but in the world of IOs it's up under 20.

Another thing with regeneration rates is that the most important factor aside from your % is how large your HP pool is. A Regen scrapper will get to the HP cap with minimal effort, perma DP is very easy to get anymore and a few set bonuses/accolades will have you sitting at 2400+ HP in no time. WP would have to try very hard and sacrifice much to hit the cap on a scrapper. With Their innate HP boost and 3 SOs, they still need to scrape together 50% HP boost to make it to cap.

Instant Healing is a beast, of course, and it is loved. In the era of IOs/Sets it can be up more or less half the time, 90 seconds on, 90 seconds off. Then having MoG up nearly every minute to eat alphas is awesome.

I'm still a WP fan as it has many possibilities, I just felt that you were asking for the strengths of Regen, so there you go.
  6. I just added this to another regen post, but anyway - if you consider going after all the HP boosting accolades, your build winds up being 100 HPs over the cap. The set bonuses you can save off of that might help you tweak the build.
  7. One thing I'd ask/add is whether or not you've considered the Accolades. Turning on all that would give you an HP boost, you end up being about 170 HPs over the cap. A lot of the set bonuses that you can swap around from that might help you tweak things a bit.
  8. Also, if you finish out a Doctored Wounds in your heal, you can drop the Crushing Impact in your Quick Strike, then slot it out with Hamis/Procs. If you want more recharge, it'll accept that Force Feedback +rech proc. The numbers on it don't end up being huge, but more is more. For more dmg, it'll take the Explosive Strike proc. I hope to get mine to slot two Hami acc/dams, ToD proc, Mako proc, Explosive & Force procs.
  9. If anything, I'd suggest dropping out of boxing/tough/weave and dipping into a patron pool. You can access Mu now, which would get you a little ranged blast and an aoe blast off two power picks. You can then slot each for 6.25% recharge bonus with a Deci & Posi. With as little mitigation as those pool sets offer a scrapper, I figure more dmg makes for more dead guys that aren't hitting you anymore. And, another 12.5% global recharge gets all your healy goodies up that much faster.

Not to argue, but pulled this off another post. This matches my experience, the base 100% goes into the equation.

    Elec/SD

My experiences with /sd suggest that you can cap out your dmg on SC through fury/aao without having to use BU. I remember running farms with my axe/sd brute and not getting any more dmg after about 540pts or so with SC. Anyone else notice this, or does it not occur any more? I was doing this when AE farming was new and shiny.
  13. I built mine soft-capped against range, but I went nrg/elec so it was a little easier to do with 5 sets of Mako. I couldn't think of anything else really useful to focus on. +Rech wouldn't have done much for me by comparison. Anyway, she's lvl 42 and I have a good time with her. Ranged attacks don't hit me, and anyone in melee range is getting knocked out. To be more specific, she's got 5 sets of Mako, 3 BoTZ between combat jumping, super jump and super speed, Gaussian's in Tactics, 2 Thunderstrikes in epic pool, Steadfast Protection +def in Grounded. Without hide or stealth on, she's at 43% vs. range.

    Sonic / Devices

Sonics is fine for a primary, makes you more valuable against hard targets while you're stacking away your res debuffs. The only real "downside"s is the AoE is lacking compared to other sets. You get three cones, which really aren't that strong to begin with. Two of the three are soft controls that are great for solo, but not so great, if even annoying, when used on teams. Then your single target attack that does the most dmg has an activation time that is roughly twice as long as comparable attacks in other sets, and does less damage when you discount the res debuffing.

As for devices ... it's a fun solo set. I love nothing more than sneaking into a group and toe-bombing a tripmine. On teams, it's hard to really contribute with devices. It can be done, of course, but it's not as easy as other secondaries.

Either way, have fun. Will a lot of folks that stick to the flavor of the month/year poke at you for your powersets? Probably. Are they right? Meh. It's a game, have fun.
