Here I was just about to say that yeah, Cyrsei, you're just being picky and it was seeming more to me like you just wanted someone to prove themselves to you, and that you clearly should lead your own group, but! It's cool to see you're way ahead of me and will be starting your own. I'd be interested, as you and I have played several times so I'm pretty comfy with you.
See you around hopefully. And maybe I'll join ya. I wouldn't mind getting in on the ground floor for a SG or VG that's led by the right kinda person, and you're it. -
So glad I bought mine for 200 million way back. I'd hate to have to deal with douchers like this guy to get my hands on one.

I'll probably end up doing that build you made Verene, but I'm not sure yet. May end up just stripping it and deleting it. -
It does indeed look good. Though acc is lowered aswell, I think it's quite a viable build. I don't think I could afford it though at the moment, kinetic combats are hella 'spensive. I'll keep it around at least. Never know~

Yes, I was seeing 45.1% in totals for self. Frozen Armor was giving me 26ish, Weave 8ish, so on.
I guess my mids is corrupted then. Great. Oh well, I guess. Lesson learned.
In a half serious statement, anyone have about 7 respec recipes laying around so I can strip this build? I pretty much have no interest at all in playing this now. Don't get me wrong, 35% is nothing to sneeze at.. but it's not what I paid for, and not what I wanted. -
Is my mids bugged or something, or is it just wrong? Is this a known issue?
I just built a fire/mm/cold with the intent to softcap S/L. It's currently level 47, so it's not quite complete, but all the def powers are slotted and should be functional completely. All that's left is more rech. Yet while my mids build shows me at 45% percent, in game it's actually only around 35%.
What's going on here? Did I really just blow nearly 2 billion on a build that isn't going to do what mids promised it would? If so I guess that's what I get for trusting it.

I am @Perfekt, or as I was before a week ago, @Perfidus. Perfy works.
My main is Raine Heartfall, whose VV can be found in my sig. I haven't played her often lately as she actually has things going on out of game, rp-wise, and I never restrain my characters to the game.
I also play, in order of relevance/activity, Snowbelle, Kinzie Rose, Melanie Megaton, Aeka, Auriana Perfidus, Heavenly Sun, Lightsparrow, and Queensguard.
Gamewise, I tend more toward powergaming. I like expensive builds that do stupid stuff and then become unused for long stretches of time, negating the whole reason I just dumped a few billion inf on shiny crap. I love TF/SF's though, as xeaon can attest to.
RP wise, my approachability is solely dependent on the character I'm playing. In other words, you're not meeting me, you're meeting my characters and so you've gotta deal with their personalities. As a rule of thumb, if you want pleasant conversation from the start, Raine is to be avoided. :3
I'm also on the cusp of a much needed short break from the game, as I've been here non stop, heavily, since April 2007. I'll be gone only until GR hits, so if you don't see me for awhile, that's why! I just need a recharge! -
There's threads of Ice/Earth doing it. I haven't done it yet on my own though.

The reason it appears I'm building for ranged aswell is because I'm really just trying to get some energy defense in there. By building it this way, energy is up to 35%. Which I think is a good amount to supplement the s/l.
I want power boost to stay because I think keeping it will be a big difference in whether or not I can hold past the purple triangles that AV's like to put on to annoy us dominators. I also just don't like Tremor as a power.
I do think I'll snag one slot out of stone spears to put into CJ to nudge myself over that softcap. That's probably a good idea, and I'll see what I can do about getting a force feedback into Fissure. -

I would expect her to be graceful and maybe a bit diminutive in size. Not necessarily short, but slender.
As for powers, I really don't know. Perhaps sonic. I could also see her being a blade user, dual blades preferably. Dunno if that helps. -
Most of my specific concepts end up deleted because they're, at the risk of sounding redundant, very specific or precise and thus not suited to the very broad rp that this game encourages. They aren't the types you can drop in a crowd of whoever and expect anything good to come of it. Because of that, they usually aren't a very good use of my time.
But some have survived, at least in that I haven't deleted them. My favorite of them is Queensguard, an elec/nin stalker. I have plenty of characters I like more, but she's a character I felt was perfect as far as my original vision and its execution. It's a rare thing for me to not have to sacrifice anything in order to get a character from my head into the game, and that alone insures she'll never get deleted. Still, due to some drama, she is all but completely inactive.
Teiris Palemoon, the character mentioned there in the bio, was actually a very real character of mine, though the name was borrowed from elsewhere (points to ye who knows it!). She was a robotics/FF mastermind, and I really did have her degenerate and eventually die. Months after deleting that character was when I had the idea for Queensguard, here. -
Not asking you to retract. I'm not even more than a casual fan of Star Wars. I haven't seen the original trilogy since the early nineties when I was like 7!

I think I should at least say that I hope you aren't grouping me in as someone who flamed you. I don't recall ever doing so. Last I heard, Jade, you and I were having a discussion. Granted, a discussion in a thread that was ultimately locked... but nonetheless, a discussion! Not a flame war, not picking at wounds. Just a little game of point/counter point.
I'm also a nobody on these forums as well as in game so I certainly have no delusions of currently being a "cool kid", nor do I have aspirations to be so in the future. I don't believe myself to be somehow superior to you, or anyone. So I hope that wasn't directed at me at all, either.
Sure, you probably shouldn't have bothered posting this thread. As has been said, it's not really going to get anything done for you. Best thing you can do is just move on, play the game as you want, contribute on the forums where and however you see fit, and if that means some folks disagree with you sometimes, and on occasion even insult you, congratulations! You're experiencing human interaction and the diversity of opinion.

Pretty sure I said it was my opinion. At no point did I claim it to be fact. It's usually a good idea to read the post you're quoting. I'm also not surprised your boyfriend found it perfectly humorous, seeing as, you know, he's your boyfriend.
It's your fault because you had a choice. You could have pressed the issue despite knowing from the get go it'd end in bloodshed, or you could've stepped away before it escalated and moved on. You chose the former. I doubt anyone reading would be surprised at the eventual outcome, considering that. I know I'm not.
That "irritating retard" is also a human being too, by the way. I'm sure he's very sorry he couldn't adequately help you in a videogame. He doesn't speak your language, sure. He also isn't qualified to have the position he has, you have no argument from me there. But you lost your chance to show NC that you disapproved of this, by failing to fill out the form. Instead, you chose to come here and complain. One is constructive, one isn't. -
Hey, if the joke was funny, it'd be funny. Wouldn't matter how explicit or offensive it is. The problem is what you were thinking of saying just isn't funny, so in lieu of actual humor, all that's left is tastelessness. This is my opinion. I can't speak for everyone else and I'm sure a few others here might find it funny along with you, but.. I kinda doubt it.
I feel like you overreacted. Once you realized you were playing a losing game, you should've just stopped. You shouldn't have even gotten to the point where you typed everything up three times and eventually ignored him until he went away. If I had the misfortune of meeting that GM, as soon as it became apparent we couldn't communicate, I'd have politely said his help wasn't needed anymore, and then maybe if it was a big deal I'd have petitioned it again in the hopes I'd get someone different.
It's your own fault you got upset the way you did, I'm sure we can at least agree on that. -

I've never had the kind of experience you've had here with GM's. I'm not saying you're lying, I do believe you. I just don't really agree with how you handled it and I find it unlikely you'll find much support here. I can say that were I to encounter things as you have, I wouldn't have responded the way you did. I certainly wouldn't have even had the thought to do the fwied wice crap. I'm seriously at a loss for why you felt the need to tell us about that? It's not even a little bit of a zinger. It's just stupid and insensitive.
To contrast the OP, I can speak of one great experience I had with a GM. I'll call him GM_Gabriel to protect the innocent. It was late on a Saturday night, and a Levantera mission in the RWZ was bugged to the point it couldn't be completed. After ensuring it wasn't user error and something was really busted here, I calmly just sent a petition and made a drink while I waited. By my return, not five minute later, I was greeted by Gabriel, who actually was visualized as a hovering drone right in front of me. I thought that was neat, it was the first time I'd ever actually seen one take shape. In any case, I explained the problem, and he went ahead and completed the mission for me.
I thanked him, and then he asked if there was anything else I needed, to which I jokingly responded, "Yes, I want a hug." What it could hurt, right?
So he hugged me.
Now, maybe it was the vodka, but I really feel like we made a connection that night. The way he met me on my level, his gentle embrace and polite, helpful demeanor. I've been petitioning missions left and right, hoping to see that GM again, but alas, he is yet to return to me. I miss you, Gabriel. Come back to me!
