He still doesn't seem all that "Zuesy". I mean, where are all the illegitimate children?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ...

... makes me wonder why Penny Preston is not only the only child in the game, but also wears a Statesman t-shirt.
  2. Well, Galaxy Girl is one hero who died in the Rikti War. Got a whole zone named after her, too.

I believe there are a few others that mention heroes that died during that time, but I can't think of them offhand.

As far as why the surviving members of the Freedom Phalanx are called the "Surviving Eight" instead of the "Surviving Two Hundred"?

Cause the devs nerfed SGs down to only 75 members, and nobody wanted to team with these 8, since they are all notorious PLers.

What? You think they're training people? Oh no, they're training you, but they're annoying other people.

Backstreet Brawler: D00d, u got inf? PL plz. any1 got WW?

  3. =^_^=

Even though I recently did the Numa Numa TF ( ), I really don't know much about the Woodsman, other than what the DE did to him, and his present condition.
  4. Infernal is the only male in the Vindicators? =0_o=

    Bow-chika-wow-wow

Good to know this, too. I wasn't aware that Ms. Liberty was State's sidekick.

Now would it be too much to ask if the Hero Trainers could all have a "tell me about this hero" options, so we can read their backstories?

one hero, the utterly invulnerable Ajax, managed to survive the blast. He had been taken captive by a Rikti stasis ray and rendered unable to follow his teammates into the portal. Now he was the sole surviving witness to their apparent victory.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So he's a tough guy in the backstory? How come he's such a putz in the comic?

  12. Yeah... shoulder kitten... stuffed shoulder kitten....

... gonna have to get me one of these....

...heck, one for each alt! =^_^=
  13. Bah! I knew those arrows were there way back when I started on Launch Day.

However... I had [b]totally forgotten[b] about them. So much so, that I never even suggested to a colorblind player to use them, instead suggesting that he look at the level and rank of the enemy (which works, too, of course ).

Are these the same arrows that tell you when an AV is holdable like a boss? If it is, I'm going to feel really stupid... all those AVs, and me spamming holds, hoping that at some point, they'll actually stick.
  14. I use a mouse to select powers from the trays (or have certain powers bound to keys). I've never even used Shift+num or Ctrl+num, so I'm all for using Ctrl+num activating a third power tray.

Really, I just want a third tray for all of those macros I made.
  15. *surprised to see a Statesman's post*

    *reads it*

    *entire body slumps*

I guess the skills are getting seriously overhauled to be pushed back yet again. I'm sure the Arenas will be interesting, as will whatever new zone goes in (something for the 30-range, I'm hoping). Maybe new powersets, such as Sonics and Archery?

Maybe the skills system was just one of those things that we where better off not knowing about until it was ready to be put into the next Issue. Right now, it sounds like a "super-cool" concept for the game, and other things seem more like "meh", when compared to it....
  16. I think a solution to Rikti Crash Site and Peregrine Island (not enough and too much) would be to place another city zone (not hazard zone) inbetween the Crash Site and Indy Port (there's plenty of room).

Make it 35-44 or 40-50, and have it include Carnies and Malta (another place to hunt each). It would also include another entrance to the Crash Site (further north of the current one), which could have its own DMZ.

In addtion to this, put another Ferry in Indy Port near the entrance to this new city zone (which could be around the Tech store (across the water from Bricks), so that there would be another way to Peregrine Island that doesn't involve Talos (and it would be near this other high level zone... plus Bricks, if the new zone contains 35+ enemies).

    Perhaps in the future...
  17. If all you need is something to crop, resize, or convert files from one type to another (tga to jpg, if you didn't change the filesave type), then check out IrfanView. Totally free, and not very large.
  18. I believe it was Positron who said that souvenirs you already have wouldn't be changed. However, if you earned your Letter after Issue 3 came out, it would be the new one.

As far as the changes from 5th Col to Council... I have to fully agree with Stateswoman. In fact, I can't even add anything to her points.

As far as the new content for Kheldians goes... even if you don't have a 50th level hero, and, therefore, can't play a Kheldian, the Peacemakers and Warshades really need to group with non-Kheldians in order to become effective. They can solo to a degree, true, but it helps to have.... well, help.

And I'm guessing exemplering with still work with a Kheldian, so higher level heroes can see the low level Kheldian missions, too.
  19. Oh, I'll stay alright! Gotta get me some EPIC POOL POWERS!

However, as I have a hero that's already 18, I'll use her to try out Striga Island (as soon as I level her a bit).

Buuuut... I still need to check earlier levels for new stuff, since States said each update will alter some earlier missions in some way.

Gad, I need more hours in the day!
  20. That's my problem. New update, and I want to create a new hero to see all the stuff they stuck in the game.

"Oh look, there's a new mission at 5th level!"
"Hey, this storyarc now has a new map tileset!"
"Yay! The new zone has new missions for it!"

  21. My only complaint with the new tilesets is that they aren't used very much. The only Freakshow mission with the Circus-like tileset was the Teh Pwnzorz (sp?) one, and I've only seen the Rave setting once (not counting the Dance Club), and the Dyne Lab twice (two different looks, too). The 5th Column outpost was also only seen once, even though I've fought 5th Cols in warehouses since then.

However, Statesman's comment that every new update will add more of these tilesets to older missions makes me happy.
  22. Okay, that business about Back Street Brawler originally being in Kings Row makes a lot of sense to me. When I first started playing, I thought that BAB looked a bit gritty for the nice and shiny Galaxy City. I was expecting somebody like Ms. Liberty (spandex, mask, wholesome).

That also explains why Blue Steel gets shafted when I delivered the cure to various heroes. Almost created a post about that ("Blue Steel doesn't get any respect?").

I noticed that there is a badge naming the "only hero" who works on the Police Force.... but the name is "Blue Shield". That means either the badge has a typo, or Blue Steel doesn't actually work for the force, just with them.

Speaking of Hero Trainers, now that capes and auras are out, are any of our veteran heroes getting a visual upgrade? Doesn't have to be anything major, but some of those Hero Trainers, like Ms. Liberty and Swan, would like pretty good with a cape (give them a unique pattern, just for extra coolness).

    Badge Progress

So it's not possible to add a progress bar, then remove it after the event?

Oh well, I guess I'll just continue to make hash marks on paper for each enemy type.
