Problem occurs when I try to play i get a message "Download patch does not match expected hash". After clicking continue 20-30 times, a prompt comes up saying "Applications/City of Heroes.app/PS/CityOfHeroes_Main_0.0.0.0To0.0.0.1/PatchManifest.xml could not be loaded!". Before anyone says the standard "delete the manifest", I followed that path and found the the xml file can't be loaded because there is no file to load.

I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.8. I can understand a update not working but I downloaded a new client to install. That should always work. Whats the problem here?

My Norton antivirus Vulnerability Protection was on. Disable it or any internet monitoring or Mac firewalls and try again. It is finally downloading on my macbook pro

I quit rather than continue (my two options at the time).

Could someone explain what this means, and how to fix it?

    whats your philosophy?
I'd rather have everyone live. Then I can save my resurrect instead of using it. buffing the lowbie makes them fight even harder cause their watching their damage numbers go up so fast from Fort. I know I want to get as many pop shots off once I hit.

Just the feeling of the WHAM as he almost one shots a goodie is why I play him.

Why not just have the pet enhancements a passive ability that just makes your pets summon equipped -- like NPC MM's do. MM primaries are too end-heavy in general anyway.
Thats odd, each time I fight myself, he never has time to summon because the dark prince had already locked him down and the ice minion had frozen him. my doppelganger is dead in less then a min.
  6. Loving my archer. mixing it up trying to figure out the attack combo. I know it starts with flash, glue, debuff, boom.

I have one at lvl 50, he's been dormant for 2 years. The end and the number of buffs, holds, and attacks. I need to fix him up too. I understand your deliema. I'll be following these forms and hope I can get some tips on how to play him properly.

Is build-up very important for a blaster? Certainly open to suggestions of alternate secondaries, although this character concept fits better with a more technological/device based set.

How do these sets perform, I kind of like the swap ammo concept of DP, gives a bit more flexibility against a variety of foes, but the powers in AR seem to destroy DP damage wise. I don't really want to be putting out weaksauce damage.

The other option is to go Dp or AR with /traps corruptor. How would that option stack up?

    Thoughts?
Let me know what you've found, I've just rolled a Pistol, devices blaster and feeling pretty good about it. I want range so I dropped the ice secondary and rerolled.

    I'm back baby

I give up. the deal was good for a lifetime player. CO sucked. got my refund and came back to coh. What'd i miss? besides missing a game I've been playing longer then my kid's been alive.

    DOH!
  10. Forgot to mention one thing. we killed the av and a nicutus sacraficed itself, The last two thou! we sent the AV to the side of the stage and killed him there while half the team kept attacking the healing Nic so it wouldn't rez.
  11. I used hurricane and tornado to knock the ambushes into the water. They don't come back. till later because they use the stairs and not the hills. THAT was fun! I self destructed and came back and they were standing at the points where I had blown them off the cliff.
  12. I didn't read the rest of the fourm but like the cyborg pack. I don't like the purchased jetpack. I mean comon you should be able to run a mission and get it as a temp power like the gold flypack or the meyhem mission pack. I don't want this to become some elite crap only some can afford.
  13. Welcome to the party Big Blue you smurfing guy you. now drop the judge dredd armor and put on your paragon armor. it's time for an upgrade
  14. That was a good read on what heroes you downed. I tried EB with my zombie dark mm but kept getting wiped by Mynks. Stupid me forgot the debuff power and havent re-rolled my char. Great job on the solos. I should try the defensive mode.
  15. So glad I found this. My second monitor would blank out my primary coh so it was hard to see if my zoning completed when I had my cursor over the other monitor.
  16. It is pretty odd all of the sudden I feel uber. Tank god like. I was standing on a platform after a battle admiring the scenery and noticed my pets were attacking something. Bodyguard mode had kicked in. Behind my back a door opened and a couple of lvl 42s came out. My pets did the damage and my dar servent healed them well. All lived and wiped out the 5 lvl 42's. Interesting that all of the sudden I feel more well... less tacticle. Body guard I like for the behind the back ambush that I can't see. My pets went nuts off the first spider sting. Starting to love it but ... god like?
