I reckon I can outdamage virtually anything with illusion/TA.
-
All I want is Blaster hp and I will be happy.
-
I will probably simply treat AVs the same as PvP opponents, 8 points of dom when you use an assault power on them.
-
Way it works is when domination is up a second mez is applied on top of the first with double the duration, so the magnatude is only doubled for half the time in effect.
However it is damage that is +50% (base). -
Actually, someone else suggested PvP style mez resistance for AVs before me (sorry, can't remember who), I just picked up the idea.
I don't think faster domination is the right solution either, I just think it is the one the devs will go for. -
That's exactly why it is the triangles that nead fixing.
However, I expect the devs are thinking that with domination up the doms will be able to contibute more with thier secondary, i.e. damage. -
Tankers get significantly higher base armour values than brutes, and more hp.
-
I really can't see any benefit whatsoever to having recharges in it. I don't have any and I have never been in a situation where it wasn't ready to go when I wanted it.
-
Yeah, personally I would have fixed the purple triangles, not the dominators.
It seems to me that if they are not touching the triangles the change that "will help on the RSF" must be domination building faster when fighting AVs. Not what I would want myself, since more damage = more agro = instant death. -
Dominator holds are fine, same magnitude as controllers, 80% duration, with domination active, double the magnatude of a controller, 160% duration.
We now also get the Break Free effect with domination.
All that is needed now is a 10% increase in base hp and AV mez resistance made more predictable. -

Recharge.

Why?
I'd go with fear duration. and accuracy for PvP.
As for dropping it on people in PvP, if you cast it in the air it will fall. -
Suppression should last 10 seconds, if it lasts longer it's gone for good.
-
If you are going by Sherksilver it is seriously wrong on TA, it is around 5%, trust me. In PvP it will reduce the range at which the player can see you, but wont make you disappear entierly unless you stack it with another -preception power such as Smoke.
-
Acid doesn't stack with itself, but disruption does.
The resistance debuff from acid stacks with that from disruption.
Edit: I have written my guide and it can be found here. -

Entagling arrow is total pap but you have to have it
[/ QUOTE ]
Its not that bad, very early on it sets up containment, it can bring down fliers, it works on AVs with purple triangles (its -recharge as well as immob now) when none of your holds will, and is useful in PvP. I wouldn't slot it with more than 1 acc though.
[ QUOTE ]
Flash is a great debuff remember its doesnt stack with itself though.
[/ QUOTE ]
Flash is a poor debuff (about -5% acc), but is a useful -perception power, especially good for getting around the Hollows at low level. You might want to respec it out at high level though.
Poison Gas is not quite as bad now, but still a poor choice for a conteroller, avoid it.
Oil slick has a major + over 1ce slick - it can do massive damage. You will need to ignite it though, which will be difficult for Ice unless you have the magic or tech origin power, any fire or energy damage will do. You can pick up a sutible epic power at level 41, at which point Oil Slick is a must, slottted 3 redrec, 3 damage.
Disruption Arrow is a must, slot it with 3 redrecs.
EMP has a high base accuracy, so it only needs one acc enhance slotted, 3 holds, and either redrecs or endrecs in the other slots.
I must get on and write my controller TA guide. -
I believe the slow effect of hotfeet autohits, but the damage part requires a to hit roll. It has a very high base acc though.
-
I woud take Smoke and not Invis myself.
Then respec out smoke at high level. -
I think you are imagining it, your hold had probably worn off by the time you had slept and woken the mob.
Now you probably have hold better slotted, so it has a longer duration, so it hasn't worn off.
Hence the perceved change. -
I think you would have to target each one individually, the Pet window can help here.
The problem is that you can't tell them not to attack, so they will just charge at the first thing and dispel the invis.
In PvP so many have +per powers against stalkers that they would probably see your imps anyway. I usually summon pets once my opponent is held in PvP anyway. This is because in the PvP zones they tend to aggro the mobs. -
Yeah poison gas gets agro.
There are 4 damage mitigation powers, but those are the ones I feel I can leave out as a controller, but would be more important as a defender. I only tend to use them when fighting AVs.
The minor ones are Net Arrow (-recharge) and Flash (-acc). -
I havn't got Poison Gas, as feel I have the mobs well enouh controlled with my primary powers that they dont get chance to do any damage anyway. The sleep chance is only about 30%, so it's not as good as a propper controller power for setting up containment.
Immobilisation Arrow is useful at low levels for setting up containment, and at higher levels for bringing down fliers and against AVs that you cant hold. -
Glue Arrow is about the worst possible example, since it is both targeted an location based.
You have to target the mob, but it actually drops a location pseudo-pet at the feet of the target, and proceeds to affect everything within the aoe radius for the duration. Hence if the original target can move out of the aoe they are no longer affected, new targets can move into the aoe, and you can stack glue arrows.
Acid and Poison gas work the way you discribe however.
Oil Slick and disruption are strieghforward location aoes, however oil slick can only be targeted on the ground, wheras disruption can be located in the air.
Oil Slick continues to do knockup when it burns, however it doesn't seem to knock up as reliably as an Ice Patch (I dunno if it ticks more slowly, it has a probablility assigned which is lower, or it is just my imagination). -
I would get Haste, since you can stack Disruption Arrow for extra debuffy goodness with it. I have superspeed on my Ill/TA. I don't think Air Sup would be very useful in your attack chian.
Flash Arrow is about 5% (actually I think the controller version is probably 4%). don't bother with it for -acc, just use it as a -perception power. -

Crushing Field & Oil slick. Given that Crushing Field (AOE Immob) doesn't stop knockback I assume they'll slip up but be unable to move?
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't care so long as they still burn baby burn.
Ice Arrow is handy for stacking with your other holds, against bosses and the like. Something I have done is slot my primary single target hold for damage (instead of recharge) and Ice Arrow for Hold duration.
I think you will probably need stamina.
Agree with Psygon, Flash Arrow is very handy at low levels for traversing zones like the Hollows. You can always respec it out later. -
I suggest you copy your character to the test server and try it there.
