Just got Yeti to 49 on double xp, and am undecided what power to get. I don't want something that neads slotting, or will use much end.

The options I am thinking of are:

Shiver
Chilling Embrace
or a pool power, such as Recall Friend.

All those doms without Hasten: respec time!

Looks similar to my build, but I have Superior Invis (which IMO is betetr if you have hasten, since you don't have much opportunity to click toggles) I also have Ice Arrow, so I can easily stack holds, and therefore damages instead of recharges in Blind, but I think thats just a matter of taste. Oh, and you will need to be of Magic or Tech origin to ignite your oil slick. I think Conseve Power may be overkill, I don't have it and have no endurance problems. I also don't have any endrex in Disruption.

Oh, and AS, might it not be better with a +acc rather than DMG, so you can knockdown with it? Otherwise you won't be able to hit high level mobs with it.

Oh, it lights for me me pretty much every time in missions.

I use Fireball or apprentice charm to set it off if Phantasm doesn't gt to it first. You do have a keybind to target it?

Outdoors in it zones it does have about a 50% failure rate.

Mottos? We don't need no steenking mottos!

Personally I wouldn't let the occassional death put you off using Oil Slick at every oportunity, especially now Fire Imps and epic damage has been nerfed.

I've had happy times wiping out 8 man team +3 council empire spawns faster than any blaster, and without the downtime of a blaster nuke.

Ah, I see, with Spectral Terror and PA you can divert any extra aggro you earn from Oil Slick megadeath quite easily.

Well I hardly get time to use Glue Arrow in between Blind, Ice Arrow, EMP, Flash, Disruption, Acid Arrow and Oil Slick (+ignition power). I certainly couldn't fit in Poison Gas as well. Then there is PA and Spectral Terror to send out periodically.

Has anyone tried stacking Ice Slick with Oil Slick? That should (in theory) have a 100% chance of stacking 2 knockups.

Really, trust me, Poison Gas Arrow on a contoller is rubbish. Whats the point of debuffing thier damage if they are mezzed? And if they are not mezzed what are you doing firing of Poison Gas Arrow when you should be firing of a mez?

I have one fly SO in Swift and it gives a very noticable boost to Hover. You wouldn't really notice it in Fly though.

I have SI. With /TA you are to busy to keep renewing GI.

Poison Gas is a poor power for a controller.

How are you planning on igniting your oil slick?

I have CJ, SJ and acrobatics.

You manage to get a tank to team with?! A competant one? Most of the time my PB ends up doing the tanking.

I took Solar Flare and I love it. It works on bosses (at least some bosses) and you get to gratuatously annoy teammates as well.

I probably will get both eventually, but I an short of enhancment slots at the moment (what PB isn't?!). I suspect that Pular would be a bit rubbish with only the one slot, where as Solar Flare might be useful. Havn't done a PB before though so I'm prepered to be told otehrwise.

I have a mostly human form PB, and am undecided whether to take pulsar or Solar Flare at level 26 (PvE only).

The way I see it: Pulsar: potentialy longer duration mez when slotted, but weak against bosses and lts without another stun to stack with it. Also inacurate.
Solar Flare: does damage, possibly more effective against lts, but slotting doesn't increase mez effectiveness, must be used on the ground, very weak against flying foes.

have forted those that are most likely to get aggro and not simply their best mates.

dont just use a power for the sake of it but use it when its actually needed or before it could be in cm and forts case.

will help make the other defender look good by any reasonable means rather than see them as the competition.

Tells the blaster whose just nuked that he wont get AB as its not a good idea to have an invuln tanker under heavy -end effects without it whilst RA aint up .

I don't have any empaths on my list, and that's the way I like it.

I have Ice/Ice, but I don't engage in much PvP. I have Hasten but not Aid Self. Generally if you get agro you won't last long enough to use aid self, you are better trying to lock down the attacking foe. Maybe after you get your patron shield you might get a chance to use it.

You could probably live without Hasten too (at least until you get power sink patron power), since endurance is a real problem with Ice/Ice.

Power to avoid like the plague: the AOE sleep.

I used the ST imob to build domination early on, but they are far more expensive in terms of end than assult powers, so I respeced it out when I had enough assaults to build a decient chain.

IMO Poison Gas is not a good power for a /TA controller, since you should be completly negating incoming damage by controlling the mobs, the debuff is usually redundant.

It doesn't but is massive anyway, especially with acid arrow, stacked disruption arrows and a mass of impobilised mobs.

Now that controller epics have been nerfed it is probably the most damaging power available to controllers.

Soloed him a couple of times with my level 17 PB. Took a few purple insps though.

I don't think you have many options. You could blast with your secondary or become a profesional leach.
