They actually knew that not everyone outside the Empire wasn't the same, amorphous blob of non-citizen.

Lots of different kinds of barbarian, some with advanced technology, and cultures almost as sophisticated as Rome (from the roman pov). They certainy warrent respect or fear, but they are still barbarians. -
Fire tanks have a kill things quicker aid to suvival. But it wouldn't hurt the passive to be a little more interesting.
The equivelent Ice Tank power gives slow resistance. It still aint brilliant, but its something. -
Yup, Barbarian, as it was used before Conan was invented, is basically a synonym for forgeiner.
As far as the cimmerarians are concered, the heroes and villains are barbarians, since they aren't Roman. -
Very clear, you can only switch builds at a trainer, not on the fly.
However, Arachnos Soldiers are the biggest headache for duel builds because of the crab backpack. As things stand, if you switched to crab your back options (cape etc) would eb replaced with the basic backpack. If you then switched back your cape would be gone. If you changed you backpack at the tailor, then switched to bane and back to crab, you would find yourself back with the default backpack. This would affect all costumes.
This could be very difficult to fix, so instead they might put a bar on crab/bane dual builds, which would probably be extended to widow/fortuanta for balance. -
No mention, but it is very unlikely that such a feature will be in at launch.
Eventually perhaps, but I expect to see the SG base editor sorted out first. -
Yeah, autohit is a big thing. Nemesis army get off a few Vengances and Blazing Aura can't hit any of them.

Aproaching from the other direction, my guess would be the least popular patron powers are Spirit Shark Jaws.
[/ QUOTE ]Really? I figured anything with -Fly would at least be popular among the PvP crowd.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well no, I'm not sure, I'm just going off my own obsevations and people's comments. It's total usage that has been datamined though, not PvP usage. -
Maybe fewer people doing PvE in PvP zones.
I doubt that many powers will be affected though. -
Doing a bit of guesswork. Focused Accuracy is basically a Targeting Drone clone, and Targeting Drone would fit nicely in Mace Mastery. For parity, Brutes and Stalkers should get it, thematically it would also be nice for corruptors and MMs.
For Stalkers, Mace Beam would probably be the power to replace, unless it was buffed to sensible damage. For Brutes, Mace Blast or Summon Blaster. However, this has the complication that VEATs would be better of with the old version. For MMs, it could replace Mace Beam Volley.
Aproaching from the other direction, my guess would be the least popular patron powers are Spirit Shark Jaws, followed by School of Sharks. One of these could be a good choice to replace with Power Build Up on Corruptors and MMs. -

"Zomg noo! Don't change the Stalker snipes because it gives a tactical advantage of almost 1-shotting a minion! YOU NARRFFF AVREYHRHFTING!"
[/ QUOTE ]
Aye, my personal opinion is the Stalker snipes would be fine if they did anything like decient PvE damage. -
My take is that heroes and villains keep thier APPs/PPPs, but some of the powers are going to be swapped for different ones (and villains can respec thier patrons).
The powers that are likely to go in would be Power Boost, Power Build Up, and Focused Accuracy. The main bar to these is that they where too good in PvP, and they can now be nerfed for PvP only.
My main concern is which powers get the chop. I'm very happy with Mu Mastery on my dom and Mace Mastery on my Bane. I don't think I would want any powers removed (apart perhaps from Ball Lightening).
There seem to be quite widespread power changes in issue 13, so I wouldn't rule out changes to pools as well, but removing Group Fly, Group TP and Whirlwind would be sure to make some players unhappy. -
Try reading.

I'll betcha 10 mil infamy /ea doesn't get upgraded.

What odds? And which server? I could use some extra Infamy!

All powersets are going to be proliferated eventually.
And Energy Arua is getting buffed in issue 13. -
Thought this post from Castle would interest people:

[ QUOTE ]
What I'd like some clarity on is a statement by Castle where he says the powers will be just like they were in PVE, and in PVP enabled zones they will have a nerfed performance.
My question is if a given power that only buffs me gets a PVP nerf, does that mean when I go to a PVP Zone for PVE reasons (Shivans, Nukes, RV prestige hunting) that my powers are similarly nerfed?
This might be a serious issue with some folks who love their APPs.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd love to make such a statement for you, but it'd be a lie. The changes for APPs/PPPs are more widespread.
The basic tack we took was "if the power is not being taken by the players, replace it with something that is." So, a number of formerly heroside only powers are now available on villainside, and a number of powers have been replaced by something we feel will be more useful in general.
I'll be very interested in seeing the reactions to the new lists in Beta.
As for the PVP zones, yes, doing PVE content there will be harder.

Can anyone here recommend a wireless printer/scanner/copier with a reliable paper feeder?

Multibuilds will be handy for kelds, and they are also getting buffed (probably with mez protection and a base damage increase).

Doc Buzzsaw is much harder to unlock now after the xp curve smoothing. It requires the bling badge and I'm usually over level 30 before I get it. Before they changed the xp earned in the 20s I usually got it around level 27/28.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actully, it isn't, because inf was ajusted in line with XP. XP/inf ratio remained unchanged. I find I always get Bling before level 30 through normal play.
If you exemplar or do some Ouroboros missions it is very easy to get. -
A Silver Age pack wouldn't really interest me. There are plenty of spandex and patterns already, and I don't think I have ever used any of them.
Golden Age pack I might go for. -

English isn't your fist language is it? It shows. -
Lack of elves is definatly a point in CoXs favour, but TR was also elfless, and that didn't make it good.
-
For something to compete it needs to be a both a quality product and offer something genuinely new. This is something that is very rare in the world of MMOs. WAR succceeds. AoC failed to to that. TR failed to do that. the odds are CO will fail to do that, especially based on the info released so far.

[ QUOTE ]
Playing time is a finite resource (at least it is for me) so that's where the competition arises. I'm currently not playing CoX because I'm playing WAR.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ditto (and the converse, money isn't so short that I can't afford to keep both acounts open, even when I'm not playing on one).
WAR is undoutably serious competition for CoX, much more so than CO is likely to be.
