Will i13 make us play more khelds?

well there it is, seeing as apparently we will be able to have 2 different builds, i am assuming that this means i could have 1 build as an all-human pb and 1 build as a tri-form pb.

if this is the case i cannot wait to get back onto my pb because he was abandoned long ago!

has there been any info on exactly how the build switching works? do we see a contact and pay them like a rep change or is it gonna be as simple as pressing a button?

on the one hand i hope that we have to see a contact to switch because it will get silly if people are switching between power builds just to get the best moves from each... then again it would be fun.

again please if there was some info on the switching that i have missed let me know

You go see a trainer.

Multi-Builds: Another innovation to City of Heroes, we are delivering the ability to have two different build-outs of each character, including which powers are selected and which Enhancements are slotted. This will now be possible for characters who want to take advantage of it. By visiting any Trainer you can switch the entire build of your character to an alternate one. You can use this separate build for whatever you like. If you wish to use different power selections for soloing and groups, you can do that. This even makes it possible to have different IO sets slotted for PVP and PVE. ItÂ’s up to you.

Multibuilds will be handy for kelds, and they are also getting buffed (probably with mez protection and a base damage increase).


I really should do something about this signature.

cool i'm pretty excited about this, poor pb has been stuck at 36 forever. a buff aswell you say? that sounds even better... hey maybe we will finally be useful! woah did i just say that?

Never noticed anything about this buff on the I13 announcements but it should make a difference to my PB, probably not so much for my WS - a damage cap boost on the other hand would be very nice.

With the recent kheldian power changes/toggle ideas im DEFO going to be remaking my warshade xD Mire + nova + teammates buff = drool worthy
Looking forward to I13 now a lot

Indeed; existing at the damage cap* permanently** is no longer just for the kinetics.

The ability to toggle into dwarf form while mezzed is going to be nice too, actually... mez protection, resistance and recovery boost from already mezzed... did we just get Strength of Will on a toggle?

* Which I believe is 400% including the base 100%, so +300% including slotted enhancements.

** In nova form, with correct (but possible with SOs) enhancement slotting, on a sufficiently large team with mostly offensive archetypes and closely packed spawns for suitably timed miring.

Futures bright for the kheldians I could even be tempted to make a human kheldian since their shields no longer drop too An all human warshade with all those toggles isnt such a bad idea anymore, only two toggles i can think of that would require re-toggling.
Orbiting death and that toggle aura stun.

Issue 13 be a great time to make a new kheldian to get all those lovely buffs from shield scrapper/tanks xD
Also like to add that kheldians really can fill any hole in the team now, what with team buffs passing over to forms we are even more capable of either blasting away (with increased dmg) or tanking (with increased res).
