Maneuvers give little benefit, since I ain't running defense otherwise; Freeze Ray I have, and 'tween CJ/SS I've got 8 pts KB Pro, so no need for SJ, and Defender Total Focus requires 2 pre-req powers. Assault I am debating on, but viably only see it replacing Mutation.
Anyhow, thanks all for the assist, I'll tinker and let ya know how it works.
my point being, if this is actually a offender build, a defense build, even for duo'd teams, will be better at mitigation incoming aggro so that you don't need mutation at all (and then if someone does die, veng ftw). and especially with rad, its fairly easy to get around 35-40% ranged while still getting 50-60+ recharge

i'd suggest stop sucking.
they haven't changed that much, there has basically been 2 real updates since you left, i14 and i16(which were more or less 6 months apart and its been 6 months since i16), which was AE and power customization (patch15 doesn't count). sounds like you just need to get reacquainted with your toons. -

Drop EM pulse. Drop chocking cloud. Drop mutation and stealth.

traps is going to be really easy to soft cap all 3 positions and does some pretty crazy debuff(so take maneuvers, cj, slot for defense) and with a quick attack chain (which is hard for DP) you'll be able to stack -37ish damage buff on whatever you're attacking(so get some rech but with DP it's only good up to a point since the animations are so damn long).

probably around 6-7 cst. although that can be moved up or pushed back depending on what would be the best for everyone. -
So yea, this is basically my small and feeble attempt to try and get some decent pvp back on triumph. (although the three peeps that still have pvp toons here that aren't farming have *loads* of fun in empty RV)
So basically, the idea is to have a weekly session of kickball(arena pvp where you pick teams, hence the name) in pocket D once or twice a week. Of course it'd be reasonably friendly for any newbies that would want to join in, it's strictly for fun, and perhaps even get some of the group that moved to freedumb back. So this thread is not only to discuss the event, but try and figure out the best times/day to do it. In a perfect world, i'd like to get something going twice a week (wednesday and saturday ideally) but just starting off and getting people to come, once a week with about 8-12 peeps per session would be fantastic.

we're gonna enforce, atleast the first few rounds, be pve only builds to help even the playing field. -

I tried to softcap my dp/mm to ranged and after i made the build i didn't like what I had to take /give up to get close(think it only came to like 40ish and barely any recharge) so i softcapped to s/l instead and got 90 rech instead. works out pretty well.

well in all fairness, any blaster is fun at level 10. it's when you get up in the higher levels that the combo really starts to show how horrible it really is

If you wanna PvP with this? don't
I tried to do it (purp'd it out and everything) and it doesn't compare to a /em blaster. boost range and build up are *that* good.
if you wanna pve with this? don't
psi's damage is mediocre at best and dev is very very slow for damage.
basically you're better off with basically any other combo than this. -
just looking at a glance, i'd drop ES and take hasten much earlier.

its nice to have, I dont notice the +hp that much since with afew bonuses and accolades you can hit HP cap. but it's nice to have, especially if you're soft capped to something.

I like to solo a lot too but some toons are just a lot more fun on a team, and ITFs are a quick source of merits since they generally take about an hour to an hour and a half and people run them on Virtue all the time.
LGTFs are good too, but at least on Virtue ITFs are about 10 times as common.
Honestly, if you like soloing, your best bet for more consistent merits, is to get someone to fill for you (or yourself if you can) and run posi in your spare time, 1-3 people make the task force go much smoother and faster, my last one i did solo was an hour 15. you'll probably get more from that than running itf after itf since a quick itf will go 25-30 minutes which you generally don't get with a server channel team.
