So yea. This is my DP/MM build. was going for S/L defense. which finishes at 41. Still doesn't feel like its doing enough damage, probably from DP sucking but whatev's. just looking for some feedback. also was looking to ex with it for lower TFs.

Looks like a great build to play in melee. Fantastic PBAoEs and excellent mitigation. The build below gets to the defense cap for Sm/Le, it loses 6% global recharge and a bit off Mind Probe. Just another idea for reference.

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.

Hey strato, can you explain world of confusion a little for me? I have it slotted similar on another blaster and it never seems to really work well for me. I don't understand why really. Is it needed even? I have a similar build to this and I took all the gun attacks and thus no room for World of Confusion.. so I was just curious about it.

You can buy and craft the entire purple Confuse set for around the same price as some high end non-purple sets (like Obliteration). Figure 50-100 million or so at worst. The recipes themselves can be quite inexpensive so if you can get good deals on the salvage and use crafting discount tokens from the Entrepreneur day job you may get it for under 50 mil. Since it gives you 5% ranged defense and 10% recharge as well as nice damage and recovery boosts it's well worth it for a Blaster.

I'd suggest running a few ITFs and buying a LotG +recharge recipe with merits, crafting it, and selling it. You should make enough to buy the full Coercive Persuasion set and have change left over. Alternately, run each of the signature task forces once since doing so gets you Task Force Commander and a free +5% HP boost.. that gives more than enough merits for a LotG.

I know, and thanks for the reply. I don't play at hours anyone is on. I mean I have never even seen a raid happening in this game and I am more a solo player anyways so in some crazy way my hours and no one being on and liking to play alone works well for me. I can't play weekends much either (when I'm home) since I have a serious family issue to commit to. I wish but no.

You may want to try Virtue server... join the Virtue TFs 2010 channel and you'll often see things going on pretty much all hours, every day. I like to solo a lot too but some toons are just a lot more fun on a team, and ITFs are a quick source of merits since they generally take about an hour to an hour and a half and people run them on Virtue all the time.

LGTFs are good too, but at least on Virtue ITFs are about 10 times as common.

the thing about server channels like these, is that its basically a hit or miss and more often then not, server chan task forces suck.

Honestly, if you like soloing, your best bet for more consistent merits, is to get someone to fill for you (or yourself if you can) and run posi in your spare time, 1-3 people make the task force go much smoother and faster, my last one i did solo was an hour 15. you'll probably get more from that than running itf after itf since a quick itf will go 25-30 minutes which you generally don't get with a server channel team.

I can't switch servers. Most of my names are taken and are real important to me, so I don't care to switch and rename or have a 1 or something else. I'm not playing right now and I can't until about 4am my time to 8am. My personality is more of the leader type, so I don't get along well with people dishing out orders. I play this game and should say fight in this game, like a gambler gambles. I fight fast, let the situation play out, usually live through it fine. No planning, no buffing, no nothing. Just fast and quick choices because I know exactly what needs to be done, without waiting on it.

right no i got that, but the whole "im a leader, not a follower" thing doesn't really matter, just form the stuff yourself. or solo like i said.

Here is my DP/MM build that I am working towards, I have about 90% of all the enhancements already purchased for him. If you see anything that can be improved I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm trying to get as close to perma DS as I can without sacrificing defense.

This is good for merits. But running a lvl 50 ITF, also gives the chance for a purple recipe to drop into your lap

well that original statement is almost certain to not be true anymore with the incoming posi change. if I had to take a guess, I would assume the devs would shorten it to make it more noob friendly which would mean lower merits anyhow.

although to counter point LGSF gives almost double the merits and the same chance for purp drop

Well of course. LGTF is a lvl 50 TF as well. So the purple drops are there. Though, I've been alot more teams that have finished the ITF in 50-80mins, killing EVERYTHING, versus the LGTF where killing everything took much longer.

But I fully admit, I havent ran as many LGTFs as I have ran ITFs.
