No one really should have expected them to answer the hardball questions. Everything was filtered through the marketing department.
theres a difference not answering hardball questions and answering questions that they have A) already answered or B) are easily accessible which most of the questions they picked fall under one of those two.

And in fact, we *do* have DR in the PvE world, it's called ED, which, once the IO system came out, is regarded by most PvE-ers who understand game mechanics and balance, a good thing.

ya know what? I actually hope they add DR to PvE. I hope they add DR, heal decay, slows and all the other crazy crap that they did for PvP so that the PvE community will tell the devs that the system is horrible and change both systems to something that doesn't suck. unless they start to ignore both communities at that point.

Don't worry, they include dancing to the oldies.

Having played both a Fire/Dark and Dark/Dark Defender, I personally prefer my Dark/Dark/Mind over the Corruptor because being unkillable outweighs being able to kill fast. The Fire/Dark is great fun and I still enjoy playing her, but she is nothing like my Dark/Dark/Mind.

Even if the Dark/Dual isn't the same damage output as the Fire/Dark, the damage output of that character is excellent nevertheless and if the OP solos a lot then another 30% damage buff will only make it that much more dangerous.
    lol@DP doing damage

that aside, you're basically arguing play style. you can easily build a fire/dark and a dark/dark to have the same level of survivability.
  17. first fix your code

second, just at a glance, blazing aura is gonna be counter productive to siren's song sleep. slotting for melee is way hard to do and ultimately not worth it when you can slot for about 35+ ranged defense or soft cap s/l defense(which is what I have been doing/recommending as of botz nerf). travel power? unless you're running ninja run. and i'd still try to fit in scream for a decent ST. attack chain. i'd come up with a build but im too lazy/haven't slept in 2 days so i'll let someone else do it.

having not really made a controller before(especially for pvp) I'm not really sure what i'm doing but i've thrown this together and looking for some critique. For instance im not really sure if i should take more therm and go the buffing route i.e. pick up forge and cauterize. but im really looking for advice on power choice and slotting (for instance should i even bother with SI?)

Btw...calling all of my builds trolls and then not explaining how to make them any better doesn't help anything. they may be bad, but in my experience, it's always better to just try and help someone instead of just saying it sucks and walking away.

    Thanks
i assumed you were a troll since all 5 of the builds were unimaginably bad for how much inf would have been sunk into them(rather, no person who has actually leveld through the game would make those PoS). actually if you look in your blaster thread, i gave you criticism then assumed it would fall on deaf ears since your posts just appeared to be a massive troll cross post.

since this is obviously not true by the 5 borderline troll builds you've posted i suggest you get a better grasp on game mechanics by playing these builds and learning how they work, then make builds for them based on your experience and (when you IO) budget.

And Suppressive Fire comes in handy quite often when I solo. But even then, I still managed to find a nice balance between fun, concept, efficiency and price! Here's my build, if anyone's curious:
fun is purely subjective. yea DP has cool animations, but for me, that only gets the set so far(throwing pistols up in the air is cool until you get killed mid animation). my build is maxed so i can make up for the lower DPS/DPA and redraw has compared to my other blasters.

placate proc is useless in pve. besides me having no need for flash freeze anyway.

ES's DPA is barely higher than DW which is easily made up for by the higher range, lower end cost, and .9 sec lower activation time.

that aside, looking at all the other posts, ima stop feeding the troll now.
