Well my Co-worker just tried to pre-purchase Aion and he got the same message I've been getting for a few days now. Hopefully someone willl answer his tech support email.

My recent 50 heroes, don't take travel powers. With O-portals, Base TPs, and since FBZ sells Raptor packs I just rebuy when time runs out.

Lol, some of the posts were funny. I did say that not all of the past was great. I have conformed to the normal playmodel Ed-Complient, I do use all available train stations.

In my case I got caught in the ole you have to be lvl 50 to have fun. So 20+ 50s later, my most fun toon is an inf-strapped lvl 19 DO'd out scrapper whose slotting and power choices are questionable.

It seems like anytime I try to use NCSOFT's store to add a perk, it's never up and no indication on the boards that it's down. Am I alone? Is it that there is a certain time that it shuts down? Are they on a 9-5 schedule? Frustrated.

Oh Wow, I was teaming with a RP'r and since he didn't do (()) I thought he was talking OOC. No wonder some of his comments were borderline loony.

Just rolled a new toon, but that's nothing new for me cause I do it alot. What makes this one special is I decided on a "back to basics" approach.

What do I mean, by back to basics? I created the toon with the mindset that the game hasn't evolved into it's current state. I am playing the game with a early issue mindset.

The auction house doesn't exist in my gameworld, I sell DO/TO/SOs to contacts when my tray is full.

Base porters and all the fancy get you there fast options don't exist. I actually have to go thru other zones to a mission.

No Radio Scanners for me ,Contacts only, and then the dreaded street sweeps to knock out the ole outlevel/underlvl Contact missions.

AE doesn't exist in my world.

Mids doesn't give me my path to 50, I'm trialing and erroring.

Basically anything that reminds of how the glory days of CoX and I know that there were not all glorious (perma stuns/held, ED, etc) , but for me the ole game is what got me hooked into wearing tights. I honestly forgot how much fun the game could be.

Some of the ole Vet players might understand what made the game so much fun in the past and be able to relate to my lil ramblings, but I'm having a blast all over again and had to share.

I moved a total of 200.00 dollars worth of characters, yeah I know. I just couldn't leave any soldier behind.

To the OP I have been doing the same and this weekend I took the plunge basically comparing Virtue and Freedom.

I chose my normal playtime and logged into each server comparing ping times and Atlas park activity.

Freedom and Virtue of course had more toons online than the others, but there was a near 200ms+ more ping time on Freedom and dropped packets. Virtue ran as smooth as my home server.

Did a few levels on each server still comparing and Freedom's Broadcast was horrible ( Basically like stepping into a AE/FARM/PL factory) and I had numerous toons just intentionally grief my lowbie. Now I'm not saying this sums up Freedom as a whole, just my experience.

Virtue reminds me of CoX of old. I put up my LFG on my lowbie and I'm always getting invites. I was invited to a *gasp* Hollows team. I haven't been able to run a toon at the low levels in what seems like years. There was alot of activity in all the zones I peeped in and caught a Hami Raid forming on my normal playtime. I was sold.

Kind of weird though seeing RPr's everywhere and learning what "(( ))" means. The RPr's seem ok, thought they might have a elitist complex, but It's cool when I try and play along.

All in all the game seems new all over, just trying to find a good SG now. Well hope this gives you some info from someone who was in the same boat.

Man, I never thought of that. Then i could get rid of a few piggybank toons. Now I wonder though what happens if you have some inluence on hand and try to remove your bid? You can't go over 2 bill, will it deny your bid removal...hmm

There is none and if you ask for a most powerful build here it causes forms-drama. The guides are still pretty relevant.

Was thinking you're not going to be tanking much getting knocked all around the map. Personally at 50 I never take a travel power, I just go to Frebase Zulu and buy Raptor packs. I'm going to guess this build is around 300 mill. Word of caution though, Most TF Teams shy away from fire Tankers as lead tank and view them more as off tanks.

Really it depends on the Lvl of IO'ness you want. The reason some of the more pricier IOs are soo expensive is the fact that there is a heck of alot more influence at play than there ever has been in this game. I remember when my Main had 60 Million influence on hand and people were amazed at me for having soo much.

You sound like a casual player and that being said don't fool yourself into thinking you're gonna get rich off the market as a casual player. Guys who play the market to make influence are playing a whole different game from the average farmer/player. You can build a decent build with alot of the cheaper IO recipes, Purples are overrated IMO.
