Quote:Being able to gank one member of a group without the others even noticing you is very stalker-ish.Waitasec. Are you saying people are *relying* on procs to make a Stalker fun to play?
NPC Bill: And that's all I have to say about that.
Stalker: Lining up, 1 anda 2 anda
NPC Bob: *SPLORTCH*
NPC Bill: What, no cutting rejoinder?
Stalker: Wait for it, wait for it...
NPC Bill: *SPLORTCH* -
Quote:Steel Canyon is another zone that's just crying out for some ultra mode lovin'.
Only if ulta optimization is a requirement for ultra mode. Neo Atlas Park takes about 3 times as long to load as a normal mode zone does.
Though if they're fine with shelves setting older video cards on fire I'm probably out of luck (and have gotten really good at playing zoomed in and looking straight down while navigating with just the map and tab targeting). -

My beef with Staff was the timing of the release, should have been with the stalker revamp since stalkers can use that set.
Perfection of soul + brute = win. Admittedly I'm still leveling that brute but I've always hated the blue chugging necessary for chasing fury and the forms have solved that issue so far. -
Do one DFB while doing the story arcs and 8 is easy to do in AP. A hydra boost can help cover problems TOs can't handle.
I think the main story progression (non-Twinshot) in AP is targeted to get you to 6 alone so with even a bit of street sweeping outleveling Aaron is an easy thing to do. -
Flashbacks: uncommon, common, astral, astral.

To quote Harvey Dent, you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

It'd be awesome if all those optional objectives (fuel lines, the first room of generators, saving that one ship) did something. I like task forces that cap out under 45 but Sutter at 20 is a lot more difficult than Mortimer at 20 as it doesn't seem to have been designed for the low end of its level range plus Sutter at 20 really screws with the timeline.

A lot of it was carrying a boatload of medium+ inspirations and taking a large chunk of time off my stalker's (claws/WP) Wedding Band which was enough +res to cap its resistance.
I did have some non-common IOs namely stalker ATO, shifter procs and mods, steadfast +def, otherwise all commons on all willpower powers except resurgence, the fighting pool, all toggles 3 slotted with appropriate def/res and one slot of end red, combat jumping and the health/res WP power with 2 heals and 2 res and the heal with 2 heal 2 recharge 1 end red with the acc/end/heal T3 Vigor. I'm still using my works-on-all-levels build so while I don't have an optimal attack chain I do have enough attacks that skimping on recharge doesn't hurt, so attacks are slotted 1-2 acc, 3 dam, 1 end, I also have focused accuracy to make the 1 acc powers hit consistently.
Burned down the minos first to drop the incoming damage since the cycs are going to be wailing on me for awhile no matter what.
That mission is making Gabe's emps look like more trouble than they are worth unless I save my autocomplete for it. -
Quote:On a flashback with a T3 Alpha stalker (+0/x1 no AV) I took the npcs with to speed things up. They did fine until the first pack of minotaurs and cyclopses, which wiped out the whole squad and my stalker didn't have any tools to save them. Might as well just go for the knows no fear badge unless you're a tanking or support type.Second thought: Don't you get the options to take several Cimerorans with you to help? I think that's the "solo option." Ask for help when Sister Solaris offers it.
And to whoever thought putting gobs of mobs with god modes as required kills was a good idea, you have officially earned one ire. -
Flashbacks: rare, common.
***END DATA***
WSTs and NotW (and good ol' Morty) have been my planned route for T3, 8 shards (can be bought with astrals) + 1 NotW = T3, if I get a rare component drop then I can build from the thread system. So far one NotW T3 and one thread system T3 made on my DA tester. Manti/Renault this week so that will be my saved for my judgement T3 and Mot knows when I'll get destiny/lore unlocked. -
Terrible, aka Time Bomb.
And I like clearing maps with just trip mine (DP/Dev, yes, I have issues), so I like explosives but time bomb, I'm not that masochistic. -
I had to rerun a Sister Solaris to get credit for it (frelling god modes) after doing it on a team (someone else was leader) through Ouro.

Quote:The PvE loot system, or really lack thereof, reinforces that. No ninjas. No master looter drama. No DKP. The game doles out the loot and it's your loot, no squabbling over who can loot the corpse or kicking the one non-guildy before looting the boss.My point is that City of Heroes was a nice and simple game where competition didn't exist, and this bred a spirit of comfort and cooperation.
When I want to get curbstomped by no-lifers and griefers, I've got plenty of other choices before needing to get it from CoH. At least in that other game it doesn't take whole number multiples of the influence cap to get a level of gear to not get instagibbed and with only a few exceptions powers work the same in PvP as they do in PvE so for just casual play I can hop into a BG without too much fuss. -
People just liked it better that way.
A quip about pigs and singing would be appropriate advice here. Philosophically I support your cause but practically it is futile, you are fighting not only the smiley one but the devs themselves. -

It's probably better that way so that when you do hit 50 and unlock your Alpha slot to gain access to the arcs you can still get your "free" reward table each arc. Having to burn a table on a sub-50 because you forgot to drop team in time would suck.

Absolutely petty, but I hope the Redside important NPC body count at least matches Bluesides in SSA#1. Recluse and Ghost Widow (States and Psyche), Jenkins (Miss Liberty), Scirocco (villain turning hero for Malaise's hero turned villain). I wouldn't like three of those deaths but fair's fair and it would show that Redside does actually have some skin in the SSA game.
