In regards to the grifter, isn't the poster that you get the role from showing a female silhouette?
  3. This is valuable therefore I will work hard to obtain it.

    vs.

I worked hard to obtain this therefore it is valuable.

Some of the second group don't care what other people did to get theirs. They define the value for themselves. Most seem to require that everyone else value that which was obtained at least as much as they do or theirs loses its value.
  4. If they put the PPP unlock in the market people will buy it.

If a magical worm (sorry for the insult worms) like Wade was obviously trying to draw you out by murdering your kin to the spot where Imperious (aka your former self ) snuffed it, I'd be a little cautious. Perhaps not nuke the site from orbit with another Rikti mothership cautious, but close.

It's not like the Midnighters contained Rularuu or anything that powerful at all, and who knew Wade was an ex-midnighter and that he'd have access at his leisure to their vaults since we could not touch him in #2.

Put each piece behind two missions that require a team of exactly 4 with a per character daily cool down and there won't be nearly as much salvage available especially after the turn in is changed to require advanced Halloween salvage to punish people that have done the holiday event previously.
  7. After enough stacking damage applies the ultimate debuff, so damage dealers can be the fastest to apply it.

Being a team player is up to the player, some ATs make it easier but do not guarantee it. Tankers don't have to take taunt. Defenders can be Empathy/ "healors" with the medicine pool and only the mandatory attack and no buffs/debuffs. Meanwhile an elec/elec/fire blaster can throw single target holds like a controller can only dream of and even stalkers with their super low threat mod can protect squishies by blowing up whatever is harassing them.

Not every plot needs to threaten to destroy the world and not every plot needs to require people of divergent moralities to band together and fight it. It was funny the first couple of times, but now it's just old... And yet we're gearing up for ANOTHER invasion. What is that, like, the fourth or fifth? We had the Rikti invade... Twice. We had the Soldiers of Rularuu invade. We had the Praetorians invade. We had Axis Amerika invade. Now we're waiting for the Battalion to invade. Enough with the invasion angle, please.
We've crossed the event horizon of raid content so there's no getting away now. Redside doesn't have the numbers to have their own trials and they're pissed off at always being the hero. Though blueside shouldn't be happy with all these villains gaining cosmic powers either. It's bad enough that the Zig is nothing more than a day spa with a tacky dress code. (See, heroes don't get anything at the end of the day either, excluding permanently dead heroes.)

If the Incarnate system was still using the Alpha system redside could have its own SFs that are appropriately red themed but that ship has sailed and was sunk by a U-boat in shark infested waters.

*edit* Oh yes, forgot. Less world exploding "plots". More fool hardy hero or foolish villain could tackle solo content.

If it's required for advancement it should 'wow' you for the duration you have to endure it.

Don't bother bringing up the iTrials as an alternative, they can go DIAF as far as I'm concerned.

On its own, I really like Lockhart's arc, my only quibble with it is the timing of it. Since WWD blue is basically "good job breaking it hero" incarnate and this was added during that, to me, it became collateral damage of the blue WWD incompetence induced unsavable ally death spree.

Villains are villains partly because they can, and will, do whatever is beneficial (in whatever way) to them without regard for the cost. Saving the world to get cosmic powers and a place to keep all your stuff is not even in the same league let alone ballpark as slaughtering the innocents because their wails of anguish are displeasing to your ears and you don't want to spend a buck on earplugs.

Basically, a villain has no limits. A hero does. A villain can justify anything.

Heroes have to go red to get PPPs. Villains don't have to go blue to get APPs. So heroes too are forced into content that they don't like to get powers.
  19. I won't regret time spent on this game. That other game with the scheduled raids with sign up sheets that I scheduled things around, however, I do regret.

This game I can play at my leisure. If I don't make it to a server event I don't have to sit out the next one nor do I lose any DKP.

If you're talking using strictly SO's I am fairly confident the devs intent isn't for you to have perma instant snipes out of the box and they intend you to build for that specifically IF you want it.
You need either a license or the proper reward level to use IOs or you have to buy the SBO, if they have Kismet in the market.

Permasnipe would the perk of the build up-less Devices and would make it a just a bit more team friendly.

And I did the math in the wrong direction, needing only 58.5% instead of 63% is a lot more reasonable.

I'd rather they up the to-hit in targeting drone so it only needs 2-3 to-hits than needing an IO that not everyone will have access to. Ar/Dev is in edge case since it has a snipe but no aim or build up but that's what they should be paying attention to.

The devs better keep an eye out for any AR/Devs hanging around clock towers. To-hit being schedule B and targeting drone only giving a base 13.875% would need a lot of slots (5ish by back of the napkin math) devoted to to-hit.

Group B: Cowboy up noobs, type iddqd and roll with the pros.
