Maybe the revamp could be that when you get the mission to see the Security Chief, when you show up he's face down and dead with cops and forensic guys standing around. That leads into the next mission where you look for the killer...

I still have a bunch of characters created around the time going Rogue came out that I still don't have in an SG because I hate asking other people to help so much. It's also an extra pain if they are strangers since I have to log on the leader, go into the base and lock down all the storage just in case they turn out to be a thief. And then after the invites log the leader back in and undo everything afterward - if I can find someone willing to help in the first place.

Since when is soloing easier than teaming? If anything the opposite is true, teams often tend to be steamrollers.
-
Quote:If they tweak the Banners to only appear in one zone at a time I think that would help a lot; as it is, they tend to appear during the Halloween Event in multiple zones at once spreading anyone who might be interested out all over.Just like the Banners in the Halloween Event.
I miss doing them. They were fun and required coordination among teams, and they carried a real possibility of failure, but they had commensurate badge rewards to compensate. I hope more people are interested in doing them again when October rolls around. -
Considering that I've never heard it mentioned as an insult until this thread, I'd say that the most common usage in this country is as a Blazing Saddles reference. And when I google it, the first few pages have only one reference to the insult version, and that's a Urban Dictionary link. There's also a restaurant chain, some kind of handicraft business, a Facebook page, and some kind of computer-related thing.
-
It's also a character from Blazing Saddles, a skateboarding term and a planet. And other things. Go check out the disambiguation page on Wikipedia for "M*ongo" if you are curious; I had to strip the links from my post because the stupid censor program broke all of them. Apparently Flash Gordon is something we must be shielded from.
-
I've heard it used far more often to refer to either the sword, or to a task being difficult. And anyone who wishes to be actually insulting can just insert an asterisk or use far more insulting terms that the software won't recognize. It's the mods and board culture that keep us from hurling nasty insults at each other, not easily fooled software.

Quote:<laughs>Edit: After a quick check of the source material it is the ******* sword of a frost giant, but not one she had killed.
The stupid forum software censors "******* sword"!
AKA "bast*ard sword". -
I recall for some time quite a lot of specific demands for /Rad Controllers. For a while, Giant Monster regeneration was huge, while /Rad Controllers had a bugged version of Lingering Radiation that was greatly superior to the Defender/Corruptor version. Both of those were changed, but the impression that /Rad Controllers were especially necessary seemed to linger for some time.

Quote:Yes. Amusingly enough, my own Smashy the Clown also has Jump Kick for the same reason - it's clownish. The best melee pool is still Air Superiority but if you don't like the theme, I would suggest Jump Kick. I've used Jump Kick before when I made my "clown character" (the flip is funny) and I didn't find the activation time that long to be honest. You can cancel the jump with a jump if I remember correctly. You don't have to wait for the whole animation?
-
Actually they were at first; I even recall someone commenting after an early market fluctuation that "even the mighty Boresight" had fallen in price. Of course, this was the era when 100,000 or so was a common price for Clockwork Winders....
-
Ever use Shadow Maul or Sands of Mu? Flurry uses the same animation, except it's only single target and less damaging. Jump Kick is quite a bit better than Flurry actually since they made the animation interruptable partway through a while back.

Quote:As we saw in the MST3K episode Cave Dwellers, the answer is...a leather hang glider.Shouldn't the minotaur have some cool barbarian wings?... 'cause... y'know.
((Note - I have no idea what 'barbarian' wings would look like. Some sort of tattered battle standard tied to them maybe, but that'd ruin the joke and make this a serious suggestion.)) -
Quote:Probably. It's an awful attack.Speed: Flurry - It looks good, and can slot stun IO's. Will I regret it, though?
Quote:Flight: Air Supremecy - Doesn't look martial arts-ish at all. Probably wouldn't use it because of that.
Really; if you aren't going to take Air Superiority then just takes what looks best for concept purposes and don't bother to slot it, because you sure aren't going to get any practical use out of them. -
That barbarian lady makes me really wish they'd proliferated Ice Armor to scrappers or brutes. Ice giantess!
-
It's always been my understanding that two of them will put anyone but a stalker at the stealth cap; and even for a stalker it only makes a difference in PvP. So for a blaster having three sources of stealth won't do anything.
-
Quote:Unless they are planning to change it for Dominators - add something in place of one of the redundant invisibility powers, say.Seriously, what's left to proliferate, other than Illusion? And if they were going to do that, it would be in this round. It wouldn't need any new art assets, and that was the sticking point for this round of proliferation - if it needed art, it wasn't happening this time.

Don't like Tanks and Defenders, the low damage and getting the attacks late gets under my skin.
I want to like Sonic Blast, but can't stand the sound effects. -
That may be the meaning elsewhere, but for whatever reason here they've always used the term to mean a small emergency patch for which they bring down the servers.
-
On occasion Scrapyard will fight Jack or Eochai during the Halloween Event; I don't recall who wins though.
-
Perhaps a Fire/Psi or Fire/Energy Dominator, with the Fire powers all colored pure white.
-
Yes.
As I understand it, regardless of the ammo used it is actually applying all the secondary effects at all times; it's just that the values are set to zero for the inactive ammo types. So a def debuff power is always a def debuff power as far as the proc is concerned.
