I'm actually interested in an answer to this as well, all my flying characters have the same odd numbers showing up.
This particular character is possibly way overslotted on Fly, but the numbers make it confusing on what exactly is needed to max out fly speed now. -
I found this guide IO's for Newbs, Casual Playas, & Cheapskates [I9] by Capn_Canadian very helpful when I started using IOs.

Well I'm a little disappointed, the sneak peek at the Incarnate System was one of the things I was most looking forward to in GR.
Waiting patiently for the "Loyalty Program" and/or "Pre-Purchase" beta waves to start. I was really hoping to test it out. -
Quote:Alternatively, arms locked in a backwards/downwards position with thrust coming out of the business ends.PLUS! OMG, please. PLEASE! PLUS, could we pleeeeeaaaaase have an alternative Crab Spider Flight emote. I literally cannot stand that "nom-nom" motion the arms make as one flies.... looks so stupid, could the arms just lock in place as they do when one is gaining altitude?

Quote:It would be great to see the war walls finally get torn down and the new seamless zoning tech get applied to Paragon City. It would be amazing to be able to see, for instance, Steel Canyon off in the distance and just go there.Nova Praetoria is about one and a half times larger than Atlas Park. I think Praetoria appears larger because there are no war walls to "close it in". The way we've seamlessly tied the visuals from one zone to another also gives Praetoria a really large scope. And thats just the zones youve seen so far.
It would most likely take massive amounts of work from the art department to make Paragon a seamless city rather than a jumble of interconnected zones. -

I think it's time the devs retired the old phrase .. "It's never going to happen."

I got it, I was basically poking fun at both sides of the argument. It's my opinion that a vast minority on either side just can't play nice with other people. Unfortunately they are also usually the most vocal.

Quote:But then how will you cultivate your wildly inaccurate opinions of carebears?Based on personal experience and what I've seen in forum posts, option C seems to be popular. I don't recommend it though. Options A and B are much better choices.
We take pride in convincing ourselves that anyone maladjusted enough to enjoy PvP must be a blight to society as a whole. -
I would love to see another "Tech" booster pack.
The Cyborg pack was great, I use it in almost all of my costumes but I would love to see more "Powered Armor" options similar to the PPD Hardsuit. "Blaster gauntlets, thruster boots, armored shoulders, etc ... both large and sleek parts that have new textures but with the option to match up with current costume textures as well.
In addition some purely robotic options would be nice, clearly non-human parts with exposed workings much like the Praetorian Clockwork, angular pieces much like some of the current "Robot Arms" etc.
Some "Techluminescent" texture options would be great too. A full texture set much like the Bioluminescent set, or as an overlay to some of the current texture sets. I'm sure it could even work as a aura/combat aura option. -
Air Superiority is very nice to have for close encounters, it would be hard to give up in most cases.

Quote:QFEFor powers that use the Tarzan emote to activate... well, anything other than the Tarzan emote, please. And yeah, I'd take pretty much anything.
It's been mentioned, but alternate pool power animations certainly. Presto-chango teleport has been mentioned, magical casting or perhaps a color-tintable glow effect rather than the medical tricorder, thrust animation for the upwards part of super jump has been asked for quite a bit. I would love to see the PPD type bottom of boot thrusters for flight, or animated back options (So tired of raptor packs that don't fit with costume design)
Wow bases, we're going to need an "All things Art: Bases Edition" thread I think. -
Not certain if it was linked before but I find this guide is a good start to understanding what Frankenslotting can do for you.
Capn_Canadian's Guide "IO's for Newbs, Casual Playas, & Cheapskates" -
My main is slotted out with HOs as well, with a few choice IO sets mixed in, if you don't want to change your HO build, keep your HO build and slot your secondary build with sets.

I started in Feb of '05, nice trip down memory lane thanks Leandro! Never imagined being here 5 years later myself.
Happy Anniversary!

Exact same thing happened when VEATs came out ... an all VEAT team is pretty impressive, and crazy deadly.

Common IOs can make a difference pretty much from level 15 onward, and after LV35 common IOs give the same benefits as regular SOs (or better)
I have a few characters set up with common 35 IOs and used them all the way to 50.
Sets have several uses, and from LV25 onward can really start to make a difference ... especially in slot-hungry builds. Frankenslotting can be used to get the bonuses from several SOs in fewer slots.
Crafting for set bonuses is definitely the more expensive route to go, but can make a huge difference especially with purple recipes.
I found the guide written by Capn_Canadian to be very useful.
There are several other useful guides in the player guides section. -
No matter how many features and how much new content they put in an issue there is always a thousand DOOOOOMMMM!!! posts.

Quote:The slowdown was persistant, but deleting the slow IO sets removed the effect, thanks.Well, in this post BAB says that he thinks that Dispari may have pinpointed the cause. IO set debuffs to runspeed may be affecting Walk when it's first toggled on. How long does the speed reduction persist? Indefinitely or about 10 seconds?
-
Just one of my characters on test is walking at 1.43 mph, the rest seem to be at regular pace.
As far as I can tell she has no speed debuffs on her.
Anyone else come across this problem? -
What was shown was everything the PR department would allow, and of course the things that will make the most number of people sit back and go WOW!
We still don't know what percentage of new features/content/QOL were in the details revealed, nor do we know how crucial the efforts being put into GR will be to any future updates.
While it's possible that GR will not bring much that you want to the table, perhaps there are systems developed in GR that will allow additions you really desire to be implemented in Issue 18(rumored to be kickass) or Issue 20.
I personally can't see a downside to the developers putting money into the COX universe, and if purchasing the expansion keeps my favorite game going a few more years, I'll gladly pay for a new box every couple of years.
EDIT to add ...
Quote:Do you mean shadows from sources other than the sun?About the only thing I was disappointed about was not seeing dynamic shadows.
The video did show dynamic shadows cast by buildings/trees/characters/npcs all changing with TOD, but nothing from mission interiors etc.
