If you can afford it, i've found that using the Fury of the Gladiator: Chance for -Resist makes a noticable difference in damage.

The general thing is, softcapping MELEE defense is half the equation. To be precise, every attack, save a few non-positional psi attacks, have two or more defense numbers. Fire Sword? Fire/melee of course. So if you in practice have 20 % fire defense and 25% melee, you are basically "SoftCapped" to the attack.

I tend to build 30% melee defense, and by then most of my other "typed" defenses are enough to sufficently back up the melee defense. Right now my defense is 30.8 % to melee and my weakest "typed" is 12%, fire and cold types, which makes my least defended attacks 42% in numbers. I have 161% end recover, 125 recharge (With hasten), perma-rage without hasten, 16 % damage bonus to boost. My recharge with and without hasten is Healing Flames:12.4 and 15.8 respectively, I am also currently trying out Blazing Aura, i normally don't, but i put the PvP IO chance for -Resist in there to try for flavor. The results are interesting.

I'm very hazy on the PS crash, i havent played /ela in a while, Hibernate DOES have an end cost, does power surge have a -recovery like elude in addition to the -end and -hp? if so then hibernate won't work

Just throwing some numbers that could possibly help, 8 man spawn, lvl 54 bosses with 2 lvl 50's on the map was droppin ~75k a kill, approx 12 per mob. The map i ran yielded 146 mil on dxp, for 73 mil, pure new inf. I am sure that is the absolute max that can be earned by a 2 man team.

its an interesting idea, if you need some kind of numbers i can try to help if possible.

Not sure numi, but i tried this and ran it a few times on a 50, and i did indeed get an achilles proc.

I am a pretty efficent farmer and i still can't figure how AE is more lucrative then RC, i get a purple every 3-5 runs(25-35) min on the demon map and in most cases it puts the profits 1.5x-3x what AE would offer.

Eh? With the new Energize from I16 /elec might be playable in pvp, well, then again brutes don't tend to do all so well anyways.

-Alot of people farm PI actually, serious farmers* that is. I have stated it before, I am more in the PLer crowd, but I farm quite regularly, I found in most cases, rounding up the fillers and runnin a RC content farm can be much more lucrative then AE by far.

-PLing on the other hand is a different story, AE has that part of the community pretty good, but an efficent PL'er is hard to come by. I can normally put someone 1-30ish in 1.5 -2 hours in AE. Thats efficent, but you will be HARD pressed to find someone that is B-casting for members that can do anything remotely like this. I made an experimental toon, an Emp on freedom, in 5 play sessions and 7 hours later, I am an astounding lvl 27 WOOHOO, running the maniac farms. Now I am a decent emp and I can keep people alive in most cases, but the boss farms without a good team lineup is a nightmare.


*(Note that there is in most cases a difference between farmers and PLers, farmers do it for max rewards efficently and PLers are for max xp, they vastly differ in many cases.)

I still recommend a decent /pd corr built for duels /2v2s don't normally take the heals. /PD for corrs is simply good due to the resistance from Epic shield and WoP, the damage buff WoP gives, and the regen rate from soothing aura.

If you're headin for a duel i would take a pet and grab a patron pet, Painb. and share pain, cuz those pets can be nasty, but if your determined on a troller, try grav/therm? grav/cold? mind/cold? grav/kin?

Just avoidin a few FotMs as i gather a mind/therm isn't much fun.

Only problem with stalker-farmers is that the mobs like to run ALOT. If im on my spines it takes a few AoEs and they run all over the place in the space of 2 seconds your lucky to be stuck with a group of 2

I haven't gotten to play since the patch, but i usually get a pvp io for every 1-2 hours i put into active freedom RV pvp. If the patch is really as effective as i hope it is, it will be easier for me to get one becuase farm targets in RV on freedom are abundant and i can sometimes get as many as 8 ppl on the 5 min timer. No moar reseting

Merc/darks are ok. The problem with mercs is its not THE most effective, most of the mediocre damage they do is in DoT form, the snipes are kinda meh if memory serves correctly. A mastermind can do duels, but, they are very immoble, most of their damage coming from pets that have AI issues keeping up with enemy players.

Nothing is a master, somethings will run right over one build, where as another build would wreck the build that ran you over, theres always something that will wreck you.

1v1 and 2v2 situations, possibly try a /pain dom corr? I rolled an elec/pain and he does quite well in zone fite klubs without having hit 50 yet.

It's more of a decision on WHAT kind of build, there is no master no matter what your rolling.

I read this thread, and now i will go make a sniping, blasting, ranged flying-teleporting stalker on my alt build and will imitate a blaster and do nothing but use a snipe 6 slotted for range. It will be hawt

/elec will be getting a heal ZOMG DOOOM /ELEC STALKERS O M G DOOOOM.

(Not really but lulz is lulz all the same)

A stone tank that can't hold aggro will cause a dreadful situation when combined with the AoE nature of /kin, but more over, those kinds of sfs are the learning experiences that new players need to have in order to improve, so don't hold too much of a grudge, if ur holding any at all, which it doesnt look like u do.
