  1. I'd be happy to help, though the date and time determine my availability.
  2. Noted. I went Earth/Earth, I worked it out and had about the same number of power choices as ice. Decided I'd prefer stalagmites and volcanic gasses to arctic air, and I can just use earthquake like ice slick anyway.
  3. I'd like to roll an Earth Assault dom because I'm intrigued by all the melee, but I'm not sure what primary to take. I'd like one with a high damage pet, so ice, earth, or fire. Is there any significant difference in crowd control between ice and earth? Would Arctic Air or Volcanic Gasses be more useful? If I went fire, would attempting to run hot feet and mud pots at the same time be effective or just endurance suicide? Also, I've seen mentions here and there about ice/earth doms being AV soloers, can someone explain to me what it is that allows them to solo AVs?
  4. Assuming the opponent will be some combination of invul/ss tanker, spines/regen scrapper, bs/regen scrapper, and katana/regen scrapper, what would be some effective comboes to use? Assume unlimited inf can go into the team and any combination of power sets and any combination of ATs, including hero/villain.

    Casual PvP?

I PvPed a ton before i13 (zone and base raids) then threw a hissy fit for a few issues. But now I'm back and I've pretty well followed the PvP changes and have a good view of the PvP scene. I'd like to meet some casual, active PvPers to arena with some time. Zone PvP used to be my favorite, but it no longer interests me as it's either A. Freedom (20 versus 1 90% of the time) or B. Any other server (me versus nobody ever, ever). As far as the arena I've seen on freedom it's only populated by high end PvPers who have the time to spend billions of inf on a PvPer, and outside of arena chat I have found 0 players remotely interested in PvP. So is there a regularly meeting group of PvP friends I could hop in with?
  6. Ah, well thank you very much and I shall support this addition.
  7. As the subject line suggests, I've encountered a mission in an arc that I'm making that always autocompletes upon entry in test (and published) runs. It is in the Widow's Tower Unique Arachnos map. All custom enemy group containing only minions and lieutenants. 4 required objects, each are "Add an Ally" advanced goals. The captives are Black Scorpion, Ghost Widow, Mako, and Scirocco, all as lvl 50-52 AVs set to "do nothing" and "non combat." Each one has the guard mob set to "One" and the enemy group only contains one unit (this was the only method I could think of to pair up each signature AV with a specific custom enemy), which is a custom boss. When I enter the mission it completes and the guard mobs apparently do not spawn, as when I find each AV they say their "ally inactive" text. If for some reason the single-unit guard mobs are not spawning, that would complete all required objectives and the mission. What can I do to fix this?
  8. I'd use it mostly for duels, I was thinking either fire/energy so I could have power push + strong pets, and char doesn't stop KB, or good ole mind/fire . . .
  9. 1. @Nonexistence, @Vautrien

    7. Really enjoyed prei13 PvP and never really given current PvP a chance. I'd like a nice PvP oriented group of people to jump back into it with. Also I'm having trouble finding people in zones to fight :/.
    8. I do like those dern blasters . . . but I'm versatile

I know I'm addicted, you might be too o.O. Found it off someone's forum sig round here . . .
  11. I completed the Numina Task Force on the character Xivilai on Protector. I crashed on exitting the final mission and was awarded the badge but no merits. Sent several petitions and they haven't been answered for several days.

    How do I . . .

I've seen several MA missions in which the normal mobs in the mission don't spawn until a certain objective is met. I'm making an arc and would like for the player to walk to the end without opposition, complete an objective, be "betrayed", then the normal mobs spawn so the player has to fight back tot he entrance. How are the normal mobs removed or set to spawn after a certain objective?
  13. I'm not getting xp <---level 50 blaster, being completely serious
  14. Yes, it seems this guide has alot of users...could it be frozen horizon is using it to manipulate the market? Could it all be a scam to make him richer? is positron my mother? I smell a plot twist in this thread...

    traps pvp (MM)

mkay, I have a lvl 50 robotics/traps mastermind and through trial and error have come up with a style of pvping with traps that I find to be the most effective. If you wish to flame me please do not do so, this is my opinion through my experiences.

rule 1. your pets are your defense-It goes without saying, keep out all your pets and upgrade them all the way, keep them in bodyguard mode to get that oh so lovable damage res.
rule 2. FFG is your BFF-its your mez protection, the defense bonus is pretty good too.
rule 3. TRIP MINES-The old problem with MM pvping is that to do damage, you must leave your precious haven bodyguard mode, with traps, you neednt do it. you can easily set up 14+ trip mines with recharge SOs alone (I dont have hasten or any recharge set bonuses so I cant tell you the biggest potential) which is more than enough to smack most squishies, also note TP foe is a must for using this style of pvp.
rule 4. take advantage of invisible traps-if you use just mines and poison traps your enemy cannot see it, but if you decide to lay down the acid mortar or toss down trops the enemy will see it and try to avoid it (again, tp foe ftw).
rule 5.fight or flight-many times when being tped into mines/trops/acid mortar/poison trap/seeker drones the enemy (especially if its a squishy) will try to run, this is where your handy dandy web nades come into action, if the baddy has immobilize res then they still cant fly or jump. Also if they run it might be acceptable to leave BG mode and have pets attack their little escapist selves. Now, hardier enemies may think that the traps are pet attacks and that youve left BG mode and gone squishy and attack you---their bad, now you have BG mode res and they have pets on them.
rule 6.things you hate- confuse-not only do your pets turn against you, so do your traps, nuff said. blaster booms-instant pet wipe most of the time. hard to kill enemies-the idea behind this is quick, easy kills, meaning drawing out fights with tanks/brutes/scrappers/etc. might be worse than backing off and searching for that squooshy gooshey blapper.

    Thats all, thanks for reading!
  16. It went without saying but attacks with less rooting work well
  17. redwood, give up on this and make another equally bad guide we can bash on , this was fun. ( I didnt do any "bashing" really but it was still fun)
  18. Yep, you just must be close to the ground and it skips animation
  19. Trenchcoat with tattered sleeves & buckled leather flat/bare gloves has a bug that makes it look like the character has no wrists. No need to address this too quickly I think it looks kewl . Sorry no screenie, have a good one! (Jay is sexy)
