    Fire/Dark

my fire dark is one of my best characters that I ever made. It's great damage as fire works and the DArk does wonders in keeping her alive. Tar Pit is a great spell to mix with rain of fire, more damage and they can't leave the damage area easily. It's a very fun combo to play.
  3. I recomend the DB Brute. I've tried the scrapper and I just kinda felt underwhelmed. My Brute rocked hard and could solo well and my scrapper, just made me go roll Katana again and not look back.

    Noob Question...

Wow, thanks a lot for the advice.

I'm trying out a BS/SD scrapper out right now. So far it's a lot of fun. I've just gotten to level 6 and i'm wondering what pool set powers would most benefit my character, anything you guys would recommend taking over others?

    Once again, Thanks in advance.

Fitness Pool is a near must, Stamina will allow you to fight longer and harder and without it, you might bottum out and lose your toggles, also things are much smoother with it.

next you'll want a travel pool, I recommend combat super jump (it's one of the fastest out of the box and combat jumping is a nice addition to defense.) Speed is good as well (very fast and hasten can be very useful.)

    Help me decide.

I'd say to avoid fire, I've tried a pure offense primary with regen and it gets a bit frustrating. Healing is great but without some kinda way to soften, make the blows hit less, it just becomes tedious.

Dark: the to hit debuff will be great with regenertaion, also drain life can help out when the spike heals are recharging as well. one of the better choices.

MA: could work with it's mitigation, though I think it probably could be better.

    Remove AE!

I don't really think everyone that likes AE as the way it is, is an exploiting farmer. I mean they may like AE the way it is because it allows them to have the power to make the stories they want. *shrugs.*

I think the problem is with player attitudes than the AE itself, I think some tweaking to remove exploits like Bubble teams and the like are needed, but nothings perfect. The people that want to farm will do it anyways, it's just one thing people do in MMOs and while I think it's boring and don't do it, I don't see why all the fuss about them playing that way.

I really think that the game would get better if we focus on improving the system and removing exploits, not trying to take away the new feature or limit newbie access, which won't help really other than making it so newbies that want to use it, can't and I really think a feature that huge should be for everyones use, I don't want to see CoX become Wow, where no one wants to do newbie stuff at all because the endgame has everything cool about it.

    Remove AE!

Dirty_Tanker .you are a good person

im a new player and in mercy island ,its fun there ,people always asking for teams and no one yet asked for AE ,im guessing its only in the good side .

btw i was in atlas park yasterday[i robbed a bank there with 7 more guys]it was quite empty .

    [/ QUOTE ]

    hihi and welcome.

Mayhem missions are Inatanced so they would be empty save for your team no matter what. Though it would be funny to have Villains going to the real Atlas Park to rob the bank^^

I'm glad you're having fun Villain side and really Hero side isn't that bad, other than AP spam, all missions I got invited to were normal teams and not a single AE team, all my AE experience comes from soloing.

    Few questions

well if your character's a hero you should go to Kings Row and get the radio (it's given by a contact that will automatically be on your map, a detective something or other.) and if you're a Villain you get a newspaper in port oaks. These are good sources of random quick missions and every 4 mission,s you get a chance to stop a robbery/ or commit a robbery, you can get a new contact after these missions, even if you fail.

Either the missions you have are kill x of whatever, just find them though rad the mission in case they have to be somewhere particular. Also the mission could be in another zone, check out the tram or some places unreachable by train, you check the map in various zones.

though I recomend to do the radio/newspaper missions as you can get a temp power that helps in traveling.
  9. Archery/Devices:
one of my favorite blaster sets, has great accuracy and blazing arrow is an awesome attack as is Rain of arrows (and unlike other top tier blaster skills it's not a nuke so you can use as much as you want.). Caltropes are good mitigation early on and helpful throughout and trip mines rock but take a bit of patiece to use. great survivability, not the best teaming combo but it works well enough.

    Assault Rife/Devices
Same as above, never played it but it's similar to the above/

    Energy Blast/Energy Manipulation
A fun Blapper build, overrated but good. TAke care when teaming since nothing's more annoying than one of these played poorly.

    Electrical Blast/Electricity Manipulation
This one is pretty good as well, decent damage and later you can bottom out the enemies endurance to offer some control.

    Fire Blast/Fire Manipulation
Great AOE damage, kill them first.

    Ice Blast/Ice Manipulation
Awesome single target damage with some controls and blapping abilities but not bad.

    Psychic Blast/Mental Manipulation
    Haven't played it so I won't comment.
  10. you're prety much right about Psi and sonic are pretty rare. Though I think it'd be better to take the one that sounds the most fun since it probably won't hurt your chances of getting a team even if it's a popular primary.

Psi proibably would be cool since being the mind melting type is quite the theme.^^
  11. fave: Tsoo bosses

I love the variety of the Tsoo bosses, they have all kinds and while they can be annoying, especially with sorcerers at their back, the asian theme and many types keep them fun.

hate: Carnie bosses. Ugh these guys are just a pain to deal with, no fun.
