DB/WP Scrapper or Brute?

I'm looking to make a DB/WP scrapper or brute in anticipation of Going Rogue. As her good or evil alignment will not matter, I wanted to pan the forums for opinions of which would be better:

Dual blades / Willpower Brute or Scrapper?

I'm a bit uncertain how their bonuses would match up on a one-to-one, all things considered equal basis.

Opinions?

I will also be posting this is the brute forum.

Damage-wise, Scrappers will do more constant damage and Brutes will do less damage to start out, but more once Fury gets up there.

For survival, a WP Brute will be more survivable because it has more HP to pair with the +Regen from RttC.

Without any consideration of numbers what so ever, I'm just going to say that dual blades never felt "right" on a brute. Not to say it's a bad powerset on brute or something, just, to me, it seemed too.... Finesse for a brute, I guess.

Heh. Perhaps if they had different models and animations to reflect that. So if they had dual meat cleavers and just chopping animations, that would fit a brute better.

The brute's better capabiliy on taking damage I think is a strong selling point for me. WP in particular is great for the sustained fights.

I recall a brute guide with the headline "Welcome to slash!" Its not just brute smash anymore.

My style of dual blade is herd em up and cut em up! Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash! With all the aoe goodness. The only thing that seperates my playstyle between my DB/WP brute and DB/invul scrapper is one attack. Dark Obliteration. The dark blast equal to fire blast's fireball. Scrappers can't get it but brutes can. And they can get ball lightning. Adding more aoe goodness to the glory that is sweep and attack vitals. So, for me, it came down to the epics (I'm not gonna start). Honestly, picking one over the other was hard so I needed a tie breaker.

The only real differences other than what's been mentioned that pop out are ancillary pools. Brutes get a few more options, such as Darkest Night from Soul Mastery, which is a pretty killer teaming power if you can afford the endurance cost.

I recomend the DB Brute. I've tried the scrapper and I just kinda felt underwhelmed. My Brute rocked hard and could solo well and my scrapper, just made me go roll Katana again and not look back.
