    Very surprised to hear a stone tank being major effected by LR, especially when too many people revere them as demi gods... remember Stoners have their weaknesses too!

    [/ QUOTE ]The question for me (aimed at the OP only), is not that you didn't recieve the power, but why do you need it anyway? Surely a lvl 28 tank wouldn't need this power... Granted it helps, but not necessary.

    And as previously stated, Ouroboros gives it anyway if you didn't get it the first time, so 30-45 minutes of hard graft and you're get the power + more xp to boot...!!

    American servers are always more busy, as it has a larger database of ppl.

    As Tommy said... playing solo is fine, especially if you are a Badger.

    Stick with it though, as Defiant has a very friendly community! No doubt GG will be along soon to offer help and freebies!
  6. Spoke to you not long after your ITF apparently then, as you told me you only had 3 bars to go... glad that you made it to 50... good going on the 9 scrappers, sorry meant 9 50's.... WD mate!

    [/ QUOTE ]Lessons I learnt from that trial :-

    1) Emp Defenders are rubbish at taking tentacles' alpha strikes.
    2) Stay close to Suicidal Tank with particle cannon, almost gained a lot of healing points from that.
    3) Sort out tactics with an hour to go, not 15 minutes.
    4) Use purples when locked on with particle cannon.
    5) If do this again with Cepheus, then a respec will be needed as superspeed useless in there, and fell countless times.
    6) Shame there is no badge for resurrecting people!

    But... to reliterate Jay's points. The ITF was fun.... but the sewer trial was so much more fun... even on Invincible, especially when only I was getting XP.
  9. Want to do this on my Tank... but see you already have one.
    If you're more than happy to have a 2nd tank... then sign me up.... Unjust Law - 50 - Fire/Axe.

    Also need the badge on my Empath.. but pretty sure that I won't make 40 by then... languishing at lvl 38.7 presently, and would only have 3 hours on Friday to achieve the level increase.
  10. Extremely close shave on the Sewer TF. We completed it with under 4 minutes remaining... after we began I dropped, so the Heroic TF became an Invincible one when Firebite became the leader. Took us a while to get our tactics sorted... but when we did, it was awesome. This has got to be the best TF I have been on for Stress/Drama/Fun/Frustration for a long time, and I even punched the air when we had finished!!!!

    Got Sting of the Manticore:Chance for Toxic Dmg... which is slotted nicely into my snipe power now.

    Thx to the team who were :- Cepheus (Emp/NRG Fender), Blue-Jay (Claws/SR Scrapper), Cat Ranger Girl (Invul/SS Tank), Beatman (Dark/Regen Scrapper), Zachary Zilt (Elec/NRG Blaster), Firebite (Fire/Kin Troller) and Fosca (MA/DA Scrapper). Final time was 1:40, give or take 5 seconds!

    Dunno what it is with me today... but built 2 TF's with 3 Scrappers in each.

    Quality Glimpse of the Abyss recipe for me.... Hehe!!! after putting it on the AH, it wasn't that bad.... should get 500k. But the irnoic thing was, a normal drop recipe is going for 7m+... as I got Positron's Blast:Acc/Dam (50) during the standard missions.

  13. The hardest EB by far for a scrapper is Nosferatu, who is in one of the ouroboros arcs, he is a fifth column EB (council).

    On weakest enemies.... warriors have no mez, just lethal and smash damage mainly... so if your highly resistant to lethal/smash, then ramp up the difficulty on them.
  14. Following reading the thread called "Soloing Infernal" in Players Questions, I had a good old think about problematic EBs and came up with the following :-

    Both my two level 50 heroes are melee based so are absolutely useless at fighting Nosferatu solo. Even with a tray full of inspirations, I still struggle... and can only defeat him by using temp powers, especially Shivans. However, can't remember any other hero EB that has caused any major problems to a claws/regen or fire/axe melee AT.

    Other ones that have proved hard are Barracuda , Metal Shift and Calystix on villains... especially for my dark/kin corruptor.

    The ultimate EB that has caused problems for my villains is Positron. He certainly is one tough mother [censored].

    So what EBs have given you the most grief?
  15. First ITF I did was on my Claws/Regen and can't remember being defeated at all. If I did die, then it would have been either during the robot guarded computer part, after lagg hill... or at the very end against Romulus. However, that said I'm almost 95% convinced of no defeats, but think that it was run on either Heroic or the next level up. For my defence, I would also point out that the tank was good at holding aggro... so just stood next to him and spammed attacks until no enemies were left standing...!

  17. As Clawd pointed out... taking stealth is a waste of time, as you can get stealth bonuses from travel power IO sets. Likewise, I'd also suggest taking the boxing pool, as tough in particular is a must. I also have weave.

    The other points I would pull out from the original build suggestion are :-
    (1) Stamina - Any Scrappers taking this need their heads read. Don't have it, Don't need it. My build also has CP, but rarely use that, unless soloing an EB.
    (2) Hasten - My attack chain is damn quick without this, another power slot wasted IMO.
    (3) Glad to see you didn't suggest MoG. Still haven't tested the new version, after the nightmares with the original. This power always seems like a cop out for me... If you can't stand toe-to-toe with a boss/EB on unyielding, and have to use MoG, then your whole build needs an overhaul. On the occasion that I fail to stay on my feet, then I probably deserved the beating, using MoG seems like cheating death to me, and debt is good for badges.

    On a side note... I would prefer shockwave to stay as KB, rather than change to KD. Nerfing this power will make me lose my love for claws...

  21. I agree with many already mentioned.

    1) Heroes Respec - So needs a respec itself it hurts. The bore-actor as I call it is no challenge, even for a poorly put together team. A timer needs to be added between waves, starting with longer gaps reducing to smaller ones. And waves should start with 20 villains, then go up by 5 with every new wave. 20 -> 25 -> 30 -> 35 and so on...

    2) Positron and SSTF1 both need to be revamped. Positron just has a ridiculous amount of villains to defeat (expecially in larger teams) and first shard mission, should give a new badge... 5 Hours and still not completed - badge called "Gullable Fool"

    3) MM Pets and the door of death. Why?

    4) Wipeout levels 1-10. Just let everyone start at 10 as both CoH and CoV are both very boring at the start. The start is just a pure grind....!

    5) Outbreak. Surely no-one (except very new ppl) use this facility anymore, except for getting the Isolator badge. Either change the no. of foes to 20 or 50 to speed this up, or get rid of it completely.

    6) Zones. I like the fact CoH is quite big, and that you move all over the city doing missions, where is CoV has set parameters. 0-8 Mercy, 6-14 Port O, 12-20 Cap etc... It's almost like you're forced to play in certain zones at certain levels, unless you powerlevel of course. I know that you do get sent back to different zones, but not enough IMO. Plus CoV may have better content, but we suffer with longer load times as a result (in general).

    You'll never get an "Ultimate Explorer" badge as exploration badges keep being added, this would (1) either break the game code (an educated guess rather than knowledge) or (2) mean a badge is taken away due to new additions (as it doesnt match the previous parameters) and as far as I know, the devs haven't taken badges away once people start trying to achieve them.
