  1. Gah, scratch that, I have been reminded I already signed for an all blaster Numina.-
  2. Oh, didn't know that, my channels didn't change customized colours before this patch and now they do so everytime I zone so I thought that issue was fixed, now I have to load chat settings file everytime I zone to keep my customized colours.

Anyway, I took the time to petition, first the colour change and second, I put a separate petition to make them note that, upon certain zoning (entering mishes) channels contained on tab still changed, which seemed relevant to me after today's patch which is supposed to fix it.

Received the first reply, first petition was escalated to development team (yay!) but second petition was closed because "This issue detailed here appears to have been previously reported to us" . For some reason (dunno, I must have become a man with faith in miracles for some reason) I updated my second petition noticing that the subject was different, 1st petition was about changing colours and second was about channels themselves (which, again, was supposed to be corrected on patch).

I just received an enormously helpful post explaining me how to sort it, which I'll quote here because I feel like it:

Thank you for contacting the PlayNC Customer Support team. There is not a simple way to change your chat windows back to the default settings with the click of a button. The easiest way to return the chat windows to their default settings is to create a new tab called "Global" and include these options when you Edit the tab:

    - Broadcast
    - Error
    - NPC Dialog
    - Request/Auction
    - Rewards
    - System

Create another tab by right clicking the first tab, then select "Add Tab". Name this tab "Chat" and include these options when you Edit the tab:

    - Coalition
    - Broadcast
    - Emotes
    - Friends
    - Local (default)
    - Private Messages
    - Super Group
    - Team

This will create another tab within the first one. Now drag the new tab labeled "Chat" below the original tab and this will give you the top-bottom format. The next thing you will need to do is add a tab to your top window with the previous method, naming the new tab "Combat" and including these options when you Edit the tab:

    - Combat Warnings
    - Damage Inflicted
    - General Combat
    - Damage Received
    - Error
    - Healing Received
    - Healing Delivered
    - Rewards

The final thing to do is add a tab called "Help" to your top window and include the following options when editing the tab:

    - Help (Default)
    - Rewards
    - System

This will give you the exact format as the default one. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or concerns.

It has been said before on these forums by rednames that sending petitions helps identifying and sorting problems, well, I'm no redname, but I have to say that READING petitions sent would also probably help sorting problems, but what do I know, must be my English, although for some reason I dared to think it wasn't that bad that couldn't be understood.

Hope my incident reply update to this was not too harsh, but who knows... or cares.
  3. Heya,

Please put me down for this on my DB/Elec Brute, Maloso Man, lvl 27

    Global Chat
Corrected an issue where Tabs changed what channels they contain when a character zones.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I thought "Yay!" and yes, today's patch fixed it... pity now the channels change colors everytime you zone... again.

So the new patch has fixed something that was broken and broke something that was fixed.

Already petitioned and all that, it would be nice to have both features working and stuff...

Edit: Ah, scratch that, channels on tab STILL CHANGE when I get into a mission, but not when I leave the mission

Only if you dont use taunt. Between reasonable use of taunt and gauntlet there is hardly a noticeable difference.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry to go off topic, but that's not true, I've seen many WP "tanks" (the expression "WP Tank" is similar to "Military Intelligence") spamming taunt and losing their aggro once a fire blaster or even a Spines scrapper dives in.

Back on topic, I agree that Invincibility conceals most of Inv weaknesses, but as has been said, any -def will reduce an Inv tank/scrapper to tears.

Being so fond of balance as Castle seems to be, I'm on the side that the "nerf" to Invincibility should be a minor tweak instead of changing it totally, then a few adjustments to compensate on passives and job done imho.

Still think the rarest combo must be the troller that illusion master mentioned a year or so back. Storm/Kin or something similar iirc - so rare that I still haven't seen one yet (though give power proliferation a couple of years and I suppose it's just possible...)

  7. Being WP I'd definitely go for Health to maximize the regeneration, hence getting Stamina is not a big deal, can leave it with just the base slot though or two in QR and two in Stamina.

Dark Consumption is deffo needed for other secondaries, but for one that has such an easy access to massive recovery, I wouldn't bother unless the damage was significant.
  8. Nightmarer

    IO sets for /SR

Let's see with all the SR toggles and passives plus maneuvers and weave slotted with 3xdef and combat jumping slotted with 2xdef you reach as per Mid's 39.8% which is 5% short of the defence cap, but close enough.

My DM/SRs have a 330% regen rate and I'd say it is deffo worth going for it, but as I said, mine are DM hence Siphon Life is more than sufficient self heal with that regen rate.

Here you are my build so you can see which sets I've used, just switch the primary and tweak on Mid's. I was mainly looking for defense and regeneration, got some recovery, dmg and acc as a collateral effect:

Don't think it is going to happen, but I'd like to have the option tbh.

This is back to XP for me until they fix the issue on Vista I'm afraid.

Or not... for some reason it won't allow me to install XP, I start from CD, format the whole HDD and when it restarts to install XP a message appears "Error on loading operative system" so, once formatted re-installed Vista and let's hope a fresh install works. Also realized that, the guy that built my pottie didn't plug the fan at the top of the case, fixed now, plus none of the chassis fans are connected to MB but as I am going to replace fans anyway will fix this soon enough.
  12. I want to STF, need it on 2 scrappers, a tank and a defender
  13. Ah, I have already given up and going to format my pottie... today. I did every suggestion I've seen in the NVidia and Anandtech forums, plugged the computer directly to the wall, tweaked teh voltage of my RAM and even replaced my RAM for a new one with heat disipators incorporated... nothing worked, I still get kicked out of the game and have to reboot if I want to log in again.

Interesting article though it seems to stop short of the maths involved in Def retaining itself validity against higher conning enemies and AV's which was kinda the bit I would have been interested in. Cheers though

Soz, in a rush and can't look for the link right now but I'll check it for you when possible, if you like defense you'll love it

Basically, defence scales hence any foes (no matter if minions, lieutenants or bosses) up to +5 lvls have a 50% chance tohit except a few who have a higher tohitbuff, hence at defence cap any +5 foe will have a 5% chance to hit you, an AV up to +5 lvls above will have something around 7.5% chance tohit against you at def cap and as has been stated, any Inv tanker can nowadays hit defence cap.

5% psi defence becomes interesting with the right power choices, such as combat jumping and weave plus of course, sets and unique enhancements such as Steadfast Protection +3% defence.

I think there's a table at paragonwiki if you want to check further.

Not sure I'm making sense but I'm hungover and in a rush, will try check figures for you later.

Edit: Damn I'm thick, check the link in my signature, you'll find useful maths for defence.
  16. I pretty much disagree on Dark Consumption being necessary for a WP scrapper with both Quick Recovery and Stamina.

Smite and Shadow Punch both make great DPS, so they're are good on your attack chain while Midnight Grasp is your highest ST damage and Shadow Maul is mainly your only AoE damage. Soul Drain is a must I am afraid to boost your damage and tohit. Touch of Fear will also be extremely helpful on a WP, its ToHitDebuff will blend well with your defenses.

I think your build lacks Fighting Pool for my taste though, you won't need Conserve Power and you can skip either Shadow Punch or Smite since being Shadow Maul your main source of AoE damage, I wouldn't skip it in any scrapper other than Dark Armor.

If you want to look at it in another way, 5% def is roughly equivelent to 10% resistance in terms of damage mitigation

    [/ QUOTE ]

An easy explanation for that can be found here, courtesy of Cognito for anyone who needs further information.

If the Inv adjustment works as explained in this thread, should be a good thing, let's expect they get it right first time without further tweaking, just for the "annoyance factor" sake.
  19. I have probe PC too but that's not the one I mean, it is called AI Booster.

Not sure if you have an overheating problem andno idea how to solve it, I don't dare tweaking anything else than the RAM voltage and it will stay as it is, 1.95V because so far it has been three days including two TF's without crashing, never happened before since I have this rig (about 1 yr ago now).
  20. Come on, stop reading forums and focus on reactor
  21. Tbh the best slotting you can have for Soul Drain on IO's is 2xacc and 3xrchg since, as Carnifax said you can't lost the damage buff or the ToHitBuff. Regarding Midnight Grasp, 3 slots on it and planning to add immobilization is a waste on your most damaging ST attack, a sensible slotting would be 2xacc - 1xrchg and 3xdmg (If you're running Focused Accuracy leave both attacks with just 1xacc and toss more recharge on Midnight Grasp and some endrdx on Soul Drain or use that spare slot somewhere else).

Regarding the delay on Elude's crash, never noticed it when I had Elude on my DM/SRs, but it's been ages since I respecced it out, although I doubt you can control it, it seems it is due to an external buff or could also be because of the performance shifter chance for +end (if you have it equipped) stacking or maybe another +recovery unique such as Numina or Miracle stacking.

How can I change that RAM voltage? That's something I have never tried before.

I used the overclock utility in the ASUS MB CD since couldn't change it from BIOS
  23. Ouch, I had similar problem but found out that needed to set my mouse buttons (4 and 5) in the Logitech settings as "generic buttons", which worked for buttons 4 and 5 but not for the wheel button... not sure it will help you though
