Thanks for the feedback - although I see my slotting got totally screwed up - 3 slots for swift? I should be shot! I'm not dedicated enough to amass the inf you've been talking about - so does this make the combo unplayable for me do you think?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not at all, I went to a maxed set build for you to see what do you think it's worth going for and what it's not. For you to enjoy /DA, I'd definitely try to go at least for as much +recovery as possible, not that it's unplayable without it, but is far more enjoyable.
  3. Well, you shouldn't be worried about lowering your DPS drastically anymore, I mean double damage, not that it was huge before, but it's pure negative damage, gonna try install the US Test server and find out a little bit more about it.

Edit: Well, check this and judge for yourself
  4. Went for the Makos because I like to boost ranged def on DA because I hate being shot from afar while dealing with foes on melee range which I am reluctant to leave because I need them for Dark Regeneration, specially when it comes to ranged nrg attacks and Impervium Armor is cheap set that boosts your HP but on the other hand, with more recovery, more max end and more acc could probably also run Cloak of Fear instead of, let's say Weave and debuff ranged shooters with Tenebrous Tentacles, it's good option and will probably check it on my DM/DA since my Fire/DA is on my second account which will not be renewed anymore.
  5. Oh the Siphon Life buff is great... and the Soul Drain one is awesome.

Still, MG on a Brute is a no.
  6. To be honest I don't think you'll enjoy this scrapper with ALL DA toggles plus Focused Accuracy, even on top sets for +recovery, specially leaving Focused Accuracy with just one slot.

Taking your mez protection at lvl 30 is just wrong and you don't need 3 slots in Swift and in SJ.

To be honest,6 slots on Conserve Power, 1 on Hasten, 1 in FA, 3 in swift, 3 in SJ, 1 in Death Shroud, mez protection at lvl 30, no KB protection at all... the build NEEDS serious tweaking, honestly, here's the one I had planned for my soon to be defunct lvl 43 Fire/DA, hope it helps you:

The build is expensive I'm afraid, if you are not going for sets you should incorporate Acrobatics for KB protection and get rid of at least a couple toggles, being Tough and Weave serious candidates (not so much Tough but you'll need the endurance without +recovery sets I'm afraid).-

Can you link to the source of this statement? as much as I'd love to see it, I am afraid I haven't seen anything about it so I'm curious.
  8. Heh, just been on a zombie invasion, those EB's are tough, but with such name it was to be expected
  9. Nightmarer

    Shields

Well, SR has -slow and +recharge, but you need more stuff than SR to make it past the soft cap, while on shields, if they stand as they are (again, one can only dream) you'll get past defence soft cap without Boxing/Tough/Weave, hence you can easily go for Medicine Pool and save a power choice, plus you'll get damage from both your defensive and offensive set in the form of attack and Build Up(ish) and having all your foes dead before you is arguably the best damage mitigation

Heh, if it stands like it is now, DM/Shield scrappers will rule...
  10. Nightmarer

    Shields

Heh, a soft defence capped set without needing Fighting Pool *drools*

Ah, one can only dream I guess...

    Blizzard?

Blizzard rocks. On my Ice/Elec Blaster Aim+BU+Blizzard+Blue Insp+Power Sink = lulz and hoping to it become mega-lulz when I get EMP Pulse
  12. Two-handed melee weapons and body launching FTW!!
  13. Yep but still, being both now same Company or NCEurope a branch of NCNW (don't know the legal situation) has some kind of allowance, or at least it HAD.

I WAS a bit familiarized with the system since I was destined to California back a few years ago to take care of a branch from a Spanish tile factory, we took care of the whole US operation after purchasing the shares from the majority partner and shared data, brand names etc from Spain to US without major problem, it just required a Miami lawyer to arrange all the paperwork.

Can't remember the exact details but I was quite on top of it being myself the link (aka victim) between Spain and US and it was easy (as in just tons of paperwork to fill) and cheap since it was a lawyer regular's fee, maybe the law has changed since 1999, but still I'm sure there is a suitable and easy way to do it on such cases as Company Absorptions, branching etc, specially being the case of an US Company taking control of a foreign Company and getting a data income for the benefit of an US Company, US Law used to be quite gentle when it came to benefit of US based companies.

Of course, all this would generate US tax for NCNW and that's probably the main reason, which is understandable, US taxes aren't to be taken lightly.-
  14. Oh, that is true, but I am sure that there are lots of ways to work that around, specially since any european can have an US account, so I'm pretty sure it can be overcome, unless it is the only system affecting international laws that doesn't have a window exploit or a technicality... US legal System is known worldwide because most of the famous and biggest dictaminations ever have been acheived through a gap in them, being mainly based on past court decisions which are taken as valid. That's what makes true the expression "America, land of opportunity" these days.

Gah, can't find the right wording in English soz
  15. Aha, somewhat disheartened after creating an US account and measuring figures BST times:

    18:59 INFINITY 170 - DEFIANT 122
    19:02 TRIUMPH 99 - DEFIANT 120
    19:05 CHAMPION 103 - DEFIANT 116
    19:07 VICTORY 114 - DEFIANT 121
    19:09 PINNACLE 122 - DEFIANT 121
    19:11 PROTECTOR 141 - DEFIANT 117
    19:14 LIBERTY 136 - DEFIANT 115
    19:16 GUARDIAN 135 - DEFIANT 115
    19:18 VIRTUE 379 - DEFIANT 115
    19:20 FREEDOM 605 - DEFIANT 116

That means there are three servers I'll test during this month and see how it goes. Even if Infinity is not much higher than Defiant, well, it's 48 more people on EU time weekday plus upon entering Atlas Park (all other toons remained in outbreak) a nice Blaster gave me a lvl 50 recipe and a magic lvl 50 enhancement (I'm soooo prone to be bribed) and alo... there's always Virtue and Freedom, will measure again on Friday and try these three servers to try get a grip of the American Experience.

I trust these figures should go up on a weekend, we'll see.
  16. Hmmmm, after thinking about this subject for a while, there's something i'd like to comment, in my opinion, having 15 servers worldwide with 2 of them bordering critical mass (and seems that reaching it on certain events) and 11 with several degrees of population (please bear with me, not entering in whether the population is low or not) seems a bit weird to me.

That makes me think that either there are plans for a massive population increase since they have the resources already (servers) and it would be a matter of maximizing their profit on them OR that the game needs less servers but they don't make that move for some reason (long term contracts with server hire, could be considered a doom sign...)

Dunno, in all honesy I prefer to think it is the first option the one they are after (call me optimist or poorly informed pessimist but I prefer sex god) just wanted to say that, if the case is that there are plans to substantially increase payerbase, well, there's no time like present time.-
  17. Tbh, US servers might be good or not and moving there is something to consider carefully imho.

I myself have decided there's no point in keeping two accounts for the time being in EU servers, so cancelled both subscriptions allowing me plenty of time (one expires on December the 1st while the main one on the 21st) to in the meantime try the US servers and see how it really goes, two servers with much higher populations are better than none, plus not playing at US peak times might be an issue or not, so I'll give it a go before my main account expires and then will be able to make a decision of whether fully move to the US or staying in EU or just leaving the game.

It seems at first sight that having 9 underpopulated servers and two overpopulated ones is calling for some review about the number of servers required for this game, but something similar could be said about EU servers.

Certainly, an idea like the one Liz proposes could give more versatility to the game by dedicating more servers to other languages if any future plans to expand the playerbase worldwide are into any kind of consideration.

On the negative side, I blame Cass for never teaming with me
  18. Dark Blast and some kind of Dark Manipulation for Blasters
Electric Melee - Electric Armor for Scrappers

For the rest of AT's, anything will do tbh
  19. Nightmarer

    spnes/fire/?

Oh I guess I'll have to speed him up then, the account he's in expires December the 1st and there are a Fire/DA scrapper, an Ice/Elec blaster and a Fire/DM tanker to take to 50 before my MA/Fire...
  20. Nightmarer

    spnes/fire/?

Erm... your spines/fire is about 12 lvls higher than my MA/Fire... but I can exemp you

Now all we have to do is make you log in the game sometime...
  21. Well, I hope title is clear enough. I'm aware this must has been asked dozens of times, but one more can't hurt methinks.

I am not asking for controller pets to be controlled like MAstermind ones or anything like that, I am just wondering if, taking advantage of this wave of QoL changes we've had this year... is there a chance Controllers can name their pets at will?

That'd be great in my opinion.
  22. Nightmarer

    spnes/fire/?

Hehe, will be able to test about BU+FE+ET when my MA/Fire is on such lvl able to do so, after ET I'll have to improvise I'm afraid, maybe asking politely for foes to play dead?
  23. Yeah I bet he was AFK when he dinged

    Felicidades chaval
  24. Nightmarer

    spnes/fire/?

Hmmm, although BU+Fiery Embrace+Burn+Spine Burst = teh lulz
  25. I have a Dark/Fire at lvl 30 and I am really happy with him. I'm planning to add decent defence and the two slef heals (make it one and a half) I hope it should be ok. I'll be going for Acrobatics though for KB protection instead of the two KB IO's so I can save 50 mill inf.
