Jibikao,
Do you play on Pinnacle by chance? I could've sworn I've seen you at the BM in Cap with your crab spider. Funny that you mentioned you live in Maryland. I myself, live in Virginia, about 15-20 minutes from DC. I had an all melee crab, named The Maryland Mauler, but deleted him, as I felt he was just too weak. -
I'd love to have spider webs trail my toon, as I'm jumping. I think that'd be really neat. I'd also love to have a look that looked like I was covered in webs. The closest to that however, that I've come is to use black tights as my background, and to use the bio-organic look in white. Or, doing black as your skin color and then white metallic look for the body.
-
Please read my PMs that I sent to you regarding my thoughts on your build.
As for names, here are 2 that I particularly like that I came up with:
1. The Maryland Menace
2. The Octo Blasta'
My spider's name is ArachniBlast. -
Still though I'll take 54 HP per tick any day over 0
54 HP per tick vs. Impending Dirt Nap. 54 HP per FTW

Regenerative Tissue isn't a proc right, it's a unique. And I'm guessing a proc is something that has "chance of" written in the description. I was thinking about grabbing that too. The Panacea has me a bit confused, I mean I understand that it's a PvP set and some bonuses only apply to PvE, PvP, or both. I was looking at the discussion on the forums here, and it seems like it'd be best put into Health or some toggle that you always have on. I was going to put it into my Serum (crab spider heal), but from reading the forums, it seems like it would be wasted, since it'd only have a chance to fire off when I would hit Serum to heal myself. I'm going to 5 slot Panacea into my Serum though, I just won't put the proc into it, but instead into Health.
-
Hmm, I did multiple proc slotting into my health. I did 1 Numina, 1 Miracle, and 1 Panacea. Now my curiosity is sparked as to whether those all will go off or as I seen up above have sort of a rotation pattern going on them.
-
Here's what Synapse himself sent back to me regarding this proc. He says slotting the proc into my Serum on my crab spider would be beneficial to me. I don't know though, especially since Serum isn't an auto power like say Health is. He also said that powers such as Healing Aura, Fast Healing, and Integration, would be ideal places to put this proc. I think, if I understood whether or not those 3 powers are either A. auto, or B. like in the case of Serum, where you have to activate it, maybe I could figure out where this particular proc will do me some good. As of right now, Health and Serum are my only choices. The only reason Serum is a tempting spot, is that I would get the 6% to heal. But, since it's a "chance of" power, I just can't help but feel like the proc would be wasted if I put it into Serum, due to the fact that the "chance of" part would only be valid if and when I hit Serum. Anyways, here's what he sent back to me in regards to this proc:
Hello Nightfire9, thanks for the PM. I would be happy to explain.

This enhancement will function normally in PvE zones. What is defined as it functioning normally?
This was a very poorly worded patch not that quite frankly should have been omitted. It was only intended for beta. The way this enhancement works is fairly simple. In PvE zones it has a chance to trigger a +hit points and +endurance effect. In a PvP zone it will trigger a +regen and +recovery effect. This is done so that it does not trigger healing suppression in pvp zones.
Quote:
1. Adds a chance for a healing power to heal the the target of the power for a small bonus amount in a PvE zone. This sounds to me like the proc is only useful if I'm on a team in a PvE zone, as the "healing power to heal the target of the power" part sounds like it.
In a PvE zone this power has a chance to trigger an additional bonus heal and +endurance effect when slotted into a healing power. This can be invaluable when slotted into powers like Healing Aura, Health, Fast Healing, Integration....
Quote:
Side Question:
Quote:
I'm a crab spider, and I have the power Serum (my self heal), if I put this proc in my Serum. Wouldn't I be "the target of the power", that would receive the chance to be healed in PvE?
Absolutely. You're also the target of powers like Health and Fast Healing.
Quote:
2. Will increase the regeneration rate of a target slightly in a PvP zone and also has a chance to infuse the target with a small amount of endurance. This again, sounds like it's for my teammates only and not me in a PvP zone.
This is for the target of the power this enhancement is slotted in. If you slot it in a power that targets yourself like Healing Aura, Health, Fast Healing, Rise to the Challenge, etc. It will affect you. If you slot it in a power that affects other players it will instead affect them.
This enhancement can be invaluable in my own opinion. It can be slotted into a power like health to give you a tick of healing every so often.
I hope that helps!
Synapse -
I was thinking about 6 slotting my Serum with a full set of Panacea. But from what I've been reading above, it sounds like the 6th slot where I'd be putting the proc would be a waste, as Serum isn't auto. I got my one of these procs on villain side for my crab spider for 150 mill. I've also heard that this particular proc works alot like the numina proc.

Hasten in the build is coming up at 115.1 seconds, and Dom is at 65 seconds. I actually reached perma dom easier than I did perma hasten. But yeah, I definitely thought for sure that I'd have to use 3 to even 4 slots just to get hasten to go perma. So, I kept building the build and checking on hasten. I originally put 3 slots into it, just out of habit, then out of curiosity, I took the 3rd slot out and was actually surprised to find that hasten was perma with only 2 slots, so it just kind of happened that way by accident.
So, I figured that I'd move the 3rd slot to combat jumping as the kismet +6% to hit, since my to hit was only at 0%. Also, looking back through the build, I think I'll replace the regular io in super jump to the unbounded leap +stealth proc. -
Ack, doms are getting the nerf bat again? I read something else in the dom forum here, something about perma dom being no more, or something to that regard. I didn't invest any infamy into this build yet, just was playing around in Mid's to see what I could do. So yeah, I'm going to wait and see what they do.

Heyas guys,
How does this look for a perma hasten/perma dom build for a plant/thorn dominator? I don't care for any of the patron powers either, so I didn't take any. I figured, that I'd take Spore Burst, as I figured it might come in handy on LRSF for possibly trying to sleep the rest of the heroes, while my VG tries the "pull one while the rest sleep and beat him up" approach. The Concealment pool, I figured I'd take so that I can get up closer to mobs and place my Seeds of Confusion better. Anyways, here is, hope you guys like it:

Yeah, but even if you PvP a lot, what do you think the chances of even getting 1 out of all the new PvP sets would be?
-
The Panacea Chance for Healing proc, is currently the most expensive IO in the whole game on villain side. I just checked this morning and they are going for 250 mill. Are they about the same on hero side? I really don't know since I don't play on hero side anymore.

Mission name: Sins of the Past: The Rise of the Enhanced
Arc ID: 39074
Morality: Heroic, but can be done by both sides to enjoy.
Length: Long
Description: Help the Crazy Cat Lady face her past and stop a madman from taking over the world. The story arc is 4 missions long. It is recommended that this arc be ran with a full team, especially since the last mission has an EB that does respawn as an AV. All of the enemies are custom made. On completion of the arc, everyone gets a special souvenir from Crazy Cat Lady. The arc was written by my husband (some may know him as a Fire/Devs blaster named Son of Liberty on Pinnacle) and the characters were designed by me.
What were you drinking when this was created: My husband was drinking White Russians, and I was drinking Orange Juice with 2 shots of Passion Fruit flavored Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Puertorican Rum. -
They are differentiated Dumple, I explain how I changed each after I posted them. For example Build 1 has Longfang slotted 4 Decimation and 1 Achille's Heel Proc. Build 2 has Longfang 5 slotted Decimation and no Achille's Heel Proc. They also say how I slotted Omega Maneuver. Builds 1-6 follow this pattern. I'm trying to show different slottings for Omega Maneuver also (I intend on putting separate numbers later on for Omega Maneuver for each of the builds). I apologize, that I'm not really good at writing up a traditional guide, but rest assured, I pointed out the differences at least
Oh, how do I thread them all into one, as I see what you mean by making it look neater. I'm going to rename the titles as well for better clarification.
-
I agree with NovaStar. Your guide is good, but can use the improvements he suggested. I also suggest maybe putting together some builds and posting them on here, for a visual reference to help support what you're trying to present, as well as numbers, all of which can be done through Mid's Hero Planner.

I'm just curious as to how my accuracy will be without combat training: offensive, in your mad recharge build. I love the build, it looks really solid, though some might say, "where's omega maneuver?" I have it currently, and really only find it good for when a brute herds large mobs, but that's pretty much it. Could you provide some numbers as to how accuracy is with your mad recharge build? Like I said, I'm just curious.

I've been tweaking my build that I've posted on here (Purrmafrost), and so far I like most of what you've posted.

Ok, I have seen the demand for Ice/Ice dominator guides on here. I'm new to dominators myself. But, I'm going to mainly post my guide to let people critique it and what not. So, here it is, pick it apart:
