    Oh I dont have problems on on AVs, I can solo most of them. I have problems on "some" AV. Bosses from Incarnate trials trashes me, some mobs groups also are problems at +3 lvl, like DEs or Nemesis. Very high psy damage AVs also mash me hardcore if they make it through def.
  2. Ojective: My Elec/FA brute seems to underperform on the single target damage departement. My DM/SD Scrapper is too squishy against high end AV/GM.

    My team is EarthKin Troller and ColdSonic Fender Bot (or EmpSonic non Bot).

    I dont want a character to farm, tho /FA has actually only Psy as weakness, it generates good threat and Healing Flames are priceless. It also have enough AoE itself to go for a more consistent single target oriented primary.


    Now we have:
    Dual Blades, Battel Axe and War Mace - They look super cool but I have no idea how good they perform damage-wise. They also are S/L but without innate def debuff (where I could abuse Achile Heels, Axe is KD tho it can me a nice spot for many Force Feedback procs).

    Dark Melee - Its great ST damage but it doesnt look cool and I dont really like the Soul Drain Mecanism. Its generally widely overkill on large spawns (my kin pretty much caps +dmg) and its pretty ridiculous against big single targets.

    Claws - It looks cool'ish and has nice AoE, I also like the Follow Up mecanism. Tho most attacks seems to have horrid DPA, is it competitive in term of single target damage?

    Kinetic Melee - Looks fool, knocks back and I hate the Power Siphon mecanism.

    Fiery Melee - Its good on many sides. High ST dmg, heavy AoE options. Tho I m not a fan of the Fire/Fire concept.

    Super Strengh - It doesnt look very cool. SS/FA seems to be super cookie cutter. I dont like rage crash tho, it costed my life many time on my other brute when fighting AVs. Footstomp is godly but do I need more AoE? Does SS have a super great ST attack chain?

    Energy Melee - I used to love it on my Stalker back in the time when Energy Transfert was 1.5sec animation. I dont really know where it stands now.

    Stone Melee - It has poo all over, therefore looks very cool. Seismic Smash looks pretty nice but I dont like the idea of knockbacks, AoE knockbacks even worste.

  5. Will my brute perform decently on PvP? What kind of power I sould be looking for on a PvP build?
  6. 1- The damage stated for Chain Induction power from Electric melee on ingame detailled info seems to be too high. It is trustable?

    2- Will Multiple cast of Infrigidate (Cold Domination) on the same target will stack with itself? Debuffing Def and rchg over and over.

    3- Consume gives +end, +end drain resist and +rec. Power info on Mids states it last 120 seconds. What part last 120 second? Does it gives 5% recovery for every target hit for 120 seconds?

    4- Does recharge buffs (namely SB, Adrenaline boost) affect pets (Troller pets, Lore pets and Patron Pets).
  7. My "main" is a DM/SD Scrapper. Which is arguably one of the supposed best ST damage AT in the game. I am not looking to achieve with my brute better than my scrapper on my scrapper speciality, I'm trying to find a character who can tank better than my scrapper without giving up too much damage.

    Why ELM? My farm brute is ELM/FA I'm talking about ELM/FA because I already have a 50 with IOs, Incarnate T3 and pretty much all accolade. Otherwise I would probably go for DM/FA Brute.

    Why FA? Because its good aggro (vs WP), and res based. I like res VS def because it has less weakness. Every high end AVs have huge innate accuracy, mostly everything that passes through my defense blows my scrapper away. Also its easier to raise def with IO sets and get def buffs that resist. A couple of def sets and Cold buffs and my FA brutes danses def caped in the rain. Res buffs makes my Scrapper tougher but rarely anywhere close to cap.

    Why Brute? Because cap res and hp is very higher than Scrapper. And because damage output is considerably higher than tankers, I am main tank (role) and main DPS in my trio.

    Again, I could be completely wrong on everything I state here. Just explain me


    Also CI doesnt seem to include jumps. I mean, it can jump on like 6 or 7 targets from what I'v seen and none of the other AoE are counted on multiple targets when it comes to DPA calculations.

    Trusting RedTomax's Data we have:
    Shriek 0.84 DPA
    Scream 0.79 DPA
    Shout 0.794 DPA
    Elec Fence 0.854 DPA

    So elec fence comes slightly first but it doesnt debuff resist so the overall damage value is hugely reduced.

  9. What are the settings you need for optimal AE farming? (xpwise)
  10. If we only consider (maybe I shouldnt, tell me) the DPA numbers from the character creation Detailed Infos it goes:
    - Charged Brawl = 9 DPA
    - Gloom = 15 DPA
    - Chain Induction = 44 DPA (Wait... what?!)

    Knowing most high DPA attacks are 12 to 15.
    I mean, how could SS be more DPS than Elec melee when Knockout Blow has 12DPA and Haymaker about 15? My DM Scrap uses MG/Smite/SL/Smite which are 13/15/10/15 DPA.

    So I'm wondering what should I think. If my ELM brute is really not competitive when it comes to single target DPS I'll probably reroll it (it makes me sad cause I nearly have all accolades) but looking at the numbers it may be actually better...
    On the build I m working on I can drop CI and Gloom to about 4 sec so that would be:
    t0 CI - t+1 CB - t+2 Gloom - t+3 CB - t+4 CI
    So 44+9+15+9 /4 = 19,25 dps

    Where my DM does:
    t0 MG - t+2 Smite - t+3 SL - t+5 Smite - t+6 MG
    So 26+15+20+15 /6 = 12,6 dps

    But it doesnt make any sense. Ingame my Scrapper MG for roughtly 500 and CI almost never hits over 200 but brute damage curve is harder to follow and my scrap is SD so with Soul Drain I have pretty steady high damage bonus.

    Side note: The goal isnt to farm but to face all the game content. Small group/trio AVs, Trials, Incarnate Content, TFs, +X*8 missions. Basicly try to go futher than I could on my shield scrapper.

    On the details:
    - I know I lack some recovery but Consume refreshes faster than it last and I m grouped 99% of the time with a /Kin and a Cold/.
    - Def isnt caped but will be with Cold buffs, probably abit overcaped but it will help versus Defense Debuffers.
    I know its not generally advised to build /FA for +Def but I dont think I could really build for more recharge unless I give up a lot or make room for Purple Mules. The toon also isnt farmer (anymore) my current build has fuckload of recharge and no def but when I face something that is basicly not Nemesis/CoT/Fire based AE missions I get spanked hardcore.
    - I dont plan on using PvP enhencement (Glad Armor +Def) because they are so bloody expensive. But HO are fine, besides I didnt found a smart way to use em.
    - I will remove Force Feedback off Lightning clap for x6 Oblit because I didnt find the proc on such a long CD power very woth it. Im also losing the one in Thunder Strike but I wasnt using the power much due to its long animation and narrow range.
    - I'm hoping to have a average/bad single target cycle using Chain Induc/CB/Gloom/CB/Burn/CB with the use of Lighting Rod when its up.
    Actually it seem both Burn and LR have better DPA than Havoc/Jacobs (not even talking about Thunderstrike).
    - I'm also not very sure about Temperature Prot (caping fire unbuff and slow res is cool), Rise of the Phoenix or Widow with x4 expedient reinforcement.
  12. I have no knowledge of Power Sink but I hardly use Dark Consumtion on my DM/SD.
    Recharge is too long to be reliable as recovery tool, it doesnt give +rec or res to end drain like Consume from /FA, the radius is also pretty small and damage doesnt means much. I mostly use it to cap up my AoE def with Sirroco Dervish. Its utility versus high end drain targets (sappers/Mu) is also nice, not mandatory tho.

  14. When it comes to pure DPA Burn, Dark Oblit and even Lightning Rod seems to be slightly better than Jacobs Ladder and Havoc Punch.

    Side note: The goal isnt to farm but to face all the game content. Small group/trio AVs, Trials, Incarnate Content, TFs, +X*8 missions. Basicly try to go futher than I could on my shield scrapper.

    On the details:
    - I know I lack some recovery but Consume refreshes faster than it last and I m grouped 99% of the time with a /Kin and a Cold/.
    - Def isnt caped but will be with Cold buffs, probably abit overcaped but it will help versus Defense Debuffers.
    I know its not generally advised to build /FA for +Def but I dont think I could really build for more recharge unless I give up a lot or make room for Purple Mules. The toon also isnt farmer (anymore) my current build has fuckload of recharge and no def but when I face something that is basicly not Nemesis/CoT/Fire based AE missions I get spanked hardcore.
    - I dont plan on using PvP enhencement (Glad Armor +Def) because they are so bloody expensive. But HO are fine, besides I didnt found a smart way to use em.
    - I will remove Force Feedback off Lightning clap for x6 Oblit because I didnt find the proc on such a long CD power very woth it. Im also losing the one in Thunder Strike but I wasnt using the power much due to its long animation and narrow range.
    - I'm hoping to have a average/bad single target cycle using Chain Induc/CB/Gloom/CB/Burn/CB with the use of Lighting Rod when its up.
    Actually it seem both Burn and LR have better DPA than Havoc/Jacobs (not even talking about Thunderstrike).
    - I'm also not very sure about Temperature Prot (caping fire unbuff and slow res is cool), Rise of the Phoenix or Widow with x4 expedient reinforcement.

  16. Is it thinkable to achieve something with elec melee close to DM/SS/Kat etc can do on single target?
  17. Is it possible to get both Heroe and Villain accolade active at the same time? I mean like 10%, 5% hp, 10%, 5% power and 5/5% power ... x2

    Shout does -20% res for 10 sec
    Screech does -20% res for 15 sec

    1- Do they stack? My guess is yes.
    2- How do they stack? Will 2 Shrieks within 5 sec apply -40% or each power applies a debuff that only stack with other power's debuff?
    3- If the later, on single target, eventually stun immune target, should I cast Shout/Scream/Howl/Shriek/Screech to maximise the debuffing or shout I go for Shout/Shriekx3 or Shout/Shriek/Scream/Shriek?

    Compared to yours (GinZen) it has:
    - No Shadow Maul (useless unless you PvP)
    - Slightly less endu use and end rec (actually its so close its not worth mentionning)
    - 56% toHit vs 0
    - 36% accuracy vs 45%
    - 134% dmg buff vs 40% (which can not be meaningfull if you reach often 400% teaming with Kins)
    - No heal in Siphon Life but a def PvP IO would allow me frankenslot SL.
    - Slots into Fire Blast (which is arguably usefull but I find it worth it even if it doesnt enter my melee cycle)
    - No "wasted" slots in stamina
    - I belive mine is slightly less expensive due to very less usage of HO, tho I m planing on going for it whenever I can score a +def PvP unique.

    Whenever I have the money/merits for PvP unique, build is abit over melee cap but its not a waste facing Archanos Spider Leuts or Rad Longbow Bosses.

    Earth/Kin build

    More about your former build:
    - Your Fosilise is bery weak, remeber its one of the spell you cast the most on AVs.
    - Damages procs on Quick Sand and Stone Cages: Does the proc activate only on casting or on every "ticks". If the first maybe its not worth it.
    - I really think Force Feedback proc on Earthquake is worth taking.
    - As is Steadfast Proctection 3% unique.
    - My build has purple stun but not hold, maybe you have the money Lebowski.
    - Somehow I endup with more S/L (Smashing/Lethal) def than you without taking Fighting pool. But maybe Tough is very worth it, unsure.
    - I only took the res uniques for Mister Hankey, but I got more damage buff, tho you are probably right. I also take Maneuvre which would lead him to a fair 25% def and 20% res without innates.
    - You can try to exploit a Basilic Gaze in Seismic Smash.
    - Dont slot Earth Embrace for resistance, its only toxic resist. Heal enheancement on the other hand raises the HP buff.
    - Generally I think you slot up very much def and res powers. The gain is less on these than for recharge or damage. Your 4 sloted Rock Armor has 1,4% more S/L def than my 2 sloted.



    My build has more recharge (and only one purple set), more S/L def, more accuracy, about the same end cost, less resist, probably a couple of wrong slots on hasten, Fulcrum... you see.
