Making a farming brute wanted to know how elec melee would do in fire farms.

Would apreciate some mids advice.

Also some help from people with prior experince with elec melee/fa brute.

Side note: The goal isnt to farm but to face all the game content. Small group/trio AVs, Trials, Incarnate Content, TFs, +X*8 missions. Basicly try to go futher than I could on my shield scrapper.

On the details:
- I know I lack some recovery but Consume refreshes faster than it last and I m grouped 99% of the time with a /Kin and a Cold/.
- Def isnt caped but will be with Cold buffs, probably abit overcaped but it will help versus Defense Debuffers.
I know its not generally advised to build /FA for +Def but I dont think I could really build for more recharge unless I give up a lot or make room for Purple Mules. The toon also isnt farmer (anymore) my current build has fuckload of recharge and no def but when I face something that is basicly not Nemesis/CoT/Fire based AE missions I get spanked hardcore.
- I dont plan on using PvP enhencement (Glad Armor +Def) because they are so bloody expensive. But HO are fine, besides I didnt found a smart way to use em.
- I will remove Force Feedback off Lightning clap for x6 Oblit because I didnt find the proc on such a long CD power very woth it. Im also losing the one in Thunder Strike but I wasnt using the power much due to its long animation and narrow range.
- I'm hoping to have a average/bad single target cycle using Chain Induc/CB/Gloom/CB/Burn/CB with the use of Lighting Rod when its up.
Actually it seem both Burn and LR have better DPA than Havoc/Jacobs (not even talking about Thunderstrike).
- I'm also not very sure about Temperature Prot (caping fire unbuff and slow res is cool), Rise of the Phoenix or Widow with x4 expedient reinforcement.

Why dark epic powers??

Another thing i know the brute is not made for farming but im making this toon just for farming for now and would like to have a basic plan on what to take and what not to take and what powers would be best for farming with this toon.

Elec/Fire isn't going to be a very efficient farmer. Too little aoe on too long a timer. Lightning Rod is cool, but the recharge is way too long, and the radius 7 on Thunder Strike is a bit too small for my tastes.

There's reasons people do SS/Fire and Fire/Fire for their farming needs.

I wouldn't go that far, anything /fire can be turned into a 5 to 6 minute +2/x8 fire farmer. It just depends on build and whether or not you are novice or experienced in farming.

The "soul" epic is just as good as the "Mu", so Nightchill's build is good food for thought. I think I got this build from the "very best farmer" thread a long time ago so I'll share it for you (next time OP, read the "Very best farmer?" thread, its a good read and has tons of builds, mostly the same thing ;P):

was that serious? elec/fa is mathematically the second most efficient famer. my elec/fa eats up 54/8 cyborgs with ease with 5 AoEs and 32.5% complemented by perma hasten. he doesnt even need insps just an occasional heal since they melt fast spamming 4 AoEs nonstop with cardiac and lightning rod every 24 or so seconds.

Your argument is so unjustified since nobody only takes thunderstrike and LR and sits there staring at a wall while LR reharges queing thunderstrike.

Also thunderstrike in a farm is almost guaranteed for a FF proc to go off aswell as some soft mitigation unlike fire which isn't very popular among brutes and only has one AoE

This is a sample of how i might make a build. I use two accounts. One to do the work, the other as a corspe. Pre-vengence, the defensive numbers are decent enough to manage the Trials with little issue. With vengence, you are soft capped. Making the grind of +4/8 doable.
