Elec melee single target cycle
On a Scrapper? No.
Gloom isin't available for Scrappers in Soul or Darkness Mastery as an Epic or Ancillary power pick. Dark Blast is available, though, and it hits fairly hard. You might want to try Chain Induction/Dark Blast/Chain Induction/Jacob's Ladder.
You're going to need some hefty recharge for that though, but Shield Defense allows for it.
The best chain I can come up with is Jacob's Ladder->Dark Blast->Chain Induction->Charged Brawl.
Three of those attacks can slot purple procs, and Jacob's Ladder can slot the PVP -res proc as well.

You can do Chain Induction>Charged Brawl>Gloom>Charged Brawl with tons of recharge.
With less recharge you can do Chain Induction>Gloom>Charged Brawl>Jacob's Ladder, which allows for that PvP -res IO in JL like Auroxis said.
For a scrapper I would stick with the standard CI>CB>JL>CB, as you will get slightly higher dps than with dark blast added in (and the same number of purple proc activations if you have Hecatomb's in CB as you should). Keep in mind Dark Blast in Mids shows its critical damage.

I believe Mids(at least the updated version) gives the correct values for Dark Blast from Darkness Mastery, and it has better DPA than CB.

Edit: o wait, that's from soul mastery, my bad :O And that base doesn't count any average crit chance, so ya, dark blast is better.

As an afterthought, the differences between Dark Blast and CB are quite minor. It's a better idea to get Water Spout or even Melt Armor instead.

Is it thinkable to achieve something with elec melee close to DM/SS/Kat etc can do on single target?
ST dps Brute/scrap/tank dm or ss or kat vs elec, no way. That's the payoff for having so many aoe's.
If you want better ST damage though, Stalker elec can keep up with some of the higher ST stalker sets, and is really the best version of electric melee because of an oddity with the set. It allows you to insert a fully hidden AS every time LR recharges without stopping your damage output to placate.
From my guide:
Waterspout, Caltrops, and Lightning Rod are all summoned pets, and as such do not break hide, or keep you from reentering hide. As long as more than 8 seconds passes between your last normal attack and the moment Assassin's Shock lands, you will reenter hide and pull off the AS. (This, of course, depends on you not being hit during those 8 seconds as well, but for a softcapped Stalker with the knockup/down of Waterspout and Lightning Rod, this is pretty easily done). Adjusting for arcanatime, Waterspout (or Caltrops) and Buildup take 1.32 seconds to activate each, LR takes 2.772, and AS takes 3.168. Add that up for 8.58 seconds, and voila: hidden status with full Assassin Shock. The only time you're not directly doing damage there is activating Build Up, for a grand total 1.32 seconds. Waterspout and Caltrops both do some good damage over their duration for their required 1.32 seconds of activation, and Lightning Rod is one of the set's best dpa attacks as well. |

When it comes to pure DPA Burn, Dark Oblit and even Lightning Rod seems to be slightly better than Jacobs Ladder and Havoc Punch.
How do you think will this perform?

Side note: The goal isnt to farm but to face all the game content. Small group/trio AVs, Trials, Incarnate Content, TFs, +X*8 missions. Basicly try to go futher than I could on my shield scrapper.
On the details:
- I know I lack some recovery but Consume refreshes faster than it last and I m grouped 99% of the time with a /Kin and a Cold/.
- Def isnt caped but will be with Cold buffs, probably abit overcaped but it will help versus Defense Debuffers.
I know its not generally advised to build /FA for +Def but I dont think I could really build for more recharge unless I give up a lot or make room for Purple Mules. The toon also isnt farmer (anymore) my current build has fuckload of recharge and no def but when I face something that is basicly not Nemesis/CoT/Fire based AE missions I get spanked hardcore.
- I dont plan on using PvP enhencement (Glad Armor +Def) because they are so bloody expensive. But HO are fine, besides I didnt found a smart way to use em.
- I will remove Force Feedback off Lightning clap for x6 Oblit because I didnt find the proc on such a long CD power very woth it. Im also losing the one in Thunder Strike but I wasnt using the power much due to its long animation and narrow range.
- I'm hoping to have a average/bad single target cycle using Chain Induc/CB/Gloom/CB/Burn/CB with the use of Lighting Rod when its up.
Actually it seem both Burn and LR have better DPA than Havoc/Jacobs (not even talking about Thunderstrike).
- I'm also not very sure about Temperature Prot (caping fire unbuff and slow res is cool), Rise of the Phoenix or Widow with x4 expedient reinforcement.
Charged Brawl is better than Havoc Punch.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
How much recharge do you need for those (both brute and scrapper versions as I have one of each hehehe)?
|
+142% recharge in Jacob's Ladder
+153% recharge in Charged Brawl
+254% recharge in Chain Induction
For Gloom-CB-CI-CB:
+153% recharge in Charged Brawl
+264% recharge in Gloom
+308% recharge in Chain Induction

If we only consider (maybe I shouldnt, tell me) the DPA numbers from the character creation Detailed Infos it goes:
- Charged Brawl = 9 DPA
- Gloom = 15 DPA
- Chain Induction = 44 DPA (Wait... what?!)
Knowing most high DPA attacks are 12 to 15.
I mean, how could SS be more DPS than Elec melee when Knockout Blow has 12DPA and Haymaker about 15? My DM Scrap uses MG/Smite/SL/Smite which are 13/15/10/15 DPA.
So I'm wondering what should I think. If my ELM brute is really not competitive when it comes to single target DPS I'll probably reroll it (it makes me sad cause I nearly have all accolades) but looking at the numbers it may be actually better...
On the build I m working on I can drop CI and Gloom to about 4 sec so that would be:
t0 CI - t+1 CB - t+2 Gloom - t+3 CB - t+4 CI
So 44+9+15+9 /4 = 19,25 dps
Where my DM does:
t0 MG - t+2 Smite - t+3 SL - t+5 Smite - t+6 MG
So 26+15+20+15 /6 = 12,6 dps
But it doesnt make any sense. Ingame my Scrapper MG for roughtly 500 and CI almost never hits over 200 but brute damage curve is harder to follow and my scrap is SD so with Soul Drain I have pretty steady high damage bonus.
New build help me!

In game info is going to be wrong, if for no other reason than it does not use arcanatime. I think the dpa you're seeing with Chain Induction there might be including its jumps, since it is an AoE power.
Your ELM brute will never match up to SS or DM when it comes to single target, but that's not the only reason to play a character. If all you want is the highest possible single target damage, you should be looking at another AT.

Guide to the Katana~Ninja Blade/Electric [i23]
My "main" is a DM/SD Scrapper. Which is arguably one of the supposed best ST damage AT in the game. I am not looking to achieve with my brute better than my scrapper on my scrapper speciality, I'm trying to find a character who can tank better than my scrapper without giving up too much damage.
Why ELM? My farm brute is ELM/FA I'm talking about ELM/FA because I already have a 50 with IOs, Incarnate T3 and pretty much all accolade. Otherwise I would probably go for DM/FA Brute.
Why FA? Because its good aggro (vs WP), and res based. I like res VS def because it has less weakness. Every high end AVs have huge innate accuracy, mostly everything that passes through my defense blows my scrapper away. Also its easier to raise def with IO sets and get def buffs that resist. A couple of def sets and Cold buffs and my FA brutes danses def caped in the rain. Res buffs makes my Scrapper tougher but rarely anywhere close to cap.
Why Brute? Because cap res and hp is very higher than Scrapper. And because damage output is considerably higher than tankers, I am main tank (role) and main DPS in my trio.
Again, I could be completely wrong on everything I state here. Just explain me
Also CI doesnt seem to include jumps. I mean, it can jump on like 6 or 7 targets from what I'v seen and none of the other AoE are counted on multiple targets when it comes to DPA calculations.
Chain Induction/Havoc/Gloom/Havoc? Is it even remotely possible?
