Quote:Yeah, that bothered the hell out of me too. As well as a few other things. First, his kid is supposed to be like 10, but acts, talks, and looks like he's closer to 13 or 14. Second, I hope that second kid was only temporary to bring humor to this last episode, cause I know he's going to get on my nerves. And finally, when The Cape's kid is talking to his mom about trying to catch The Cape on webcam, and she says he doesn't exist. How is that possible? What the heck is wrong with Orwell? Did she take stupid pills this episode. No wait that's not fair she'd been doing stupid stuff all along.
Okay she and the Cape are confronted by a remote controlled vehicle that is trying to kill them and after the Cape takes it out both she and the Cape spend hours studying the vehicle in the exact spot where it crashed???
WTF?!?
Hello . . . Earth to dumb hot chick . . . you are supposed to be the paranoid computer geek. Start acting like it. Have you never heard of GPS? The assassins know exactly where their deathbot crashed. Get the frak out of the motherfrakking alley and take the damn deathbot underground where you know the damn thing can't be traced. You already know that concrete messes with it's signals when you ran into that short tunnel in the park.
It was stupid sh** like this that kept pissing me off about SGU plots.
This dude has appeared out in the open two of the last three episodes, teaming up with Fleming to stop the train, and then save him from an assassin. You mean to tell me not a single member of the press was around to take a picture, or that no one in Palm City has a cell phone camera? The Cape should've been plastered all over the news by now. Or at the very least be a much-talked-about urban myth. -
A couple friends and I noticed this, but does anyone else think the kid looks like a mini-Luke?

Batman Beyond #2
DCUO Legends #1
ASM #653
I was also going to get Batman: Detective Comics #873 that came out last week, but my store didn't have it. So I snagged ASM #649 which was the only Big Time comic I was missing. -
I'd say Boomtown reminds me of San Antonio.....
Gawd I hate it here. -
You know who always reminded me of Snarf? Neelix.
Anyway, I was never a big fan of the original ThunderCats, but watched it periodically. The new one doesn't look bad from what I've seen here, but I also have to agree with Ice_Wall. I'm getting a bit sick of the anime-style art as well. -
I thought that was pretty inventive of them, myself.

Quote:Not all superheroes are as afraid of guns as Batman is. The Cape probably carries it on that off-chance stuff really hits the fan and he has no other choice. Don't forget, he was a cop originally, and that may be another reason. Most cops I know have a weapon on them at all times, in fact some departments require their cops to be armed 24/7. Although Vince isn't a cop as far as Palm City is concerned, I think he still sees himself as one and that once he brings down Chess/Fleming he may become one again. Having his weapon on him may be a hold over from that.Didn't get to watch it till a little bit ago (on Hulu). Scales looks like he might be an interesting character. I was worried there wasn't anything special about him other than a skin condition, but it seems he's a bit tougher than he looks.
Other than wondering why Cape would be carrying a gun, the show was good. I think he needs more gadgets, though, especially working with a techie like Orwell, though I suppose that would make him a little too much like Batman.
As far as the episode, I liked it, but seriously KEEP YOUR DAMN MASK ON!!!!That is seriously irritating the crap out of me.

Quote:That would also be nice.* Story arcs for Incarnates (i.e. contacts that start at level 50 the first of which is automatically introduced after running Ramiel's arc)
Honestly, I was surprised when I first got here that there wasn't some form of player housing. Of course, this was also only my 2nd MMO after playing SWG for the previous 2 years. I figured most, if not all, MMOs were that open, and had player housing. Obviously, I was wrong, heh. -
Thanks for the review. On that last mission, I've honestly never been a huge fan of outdoor maps especially when you have to rescue people, or defeat a particular enemy. I might end up making it an indoor map; probably the same one as the previous mission, so it seems like you and Knight'Hawk are caught in the middle when the "war" breaks out.
Another reason is cause on that last mission the intent is to find your ally, and then defeat the assassin (which is why he's so difficult, cause Knight'Hawk is supposed to be with you). However, on an outdoor map, things are so open that the final boss could be closer to you than the ally even though they're listed as "back" and "front" respectively. At least that's how it seems to me. Indoor maps are little more linear, so most likely you'll find your ally before you find the boss (when I published it, the Ally deal was the first thing, but I'll take another look). I'll also try to add some flavor to that first mission, like you said.
Thanks again.
EDIT: Okay, I made a few of the changes that you suggested. Let me know how you like it. -
Quote:Wonderful.... I've been looking at getting a new one anyway, but I can't financially swing that atm.Yeah, when you start seeing stuff like this...
...expect eminent failure of your video card. I know mine died shortly after this.As far as the drivers go, I'm pretty sure I have the latest versions for my card. Updated them about a month or so ago.

Welcome. Most of your questions have been answered quite well, but there was something in your post that caught my eye. In regards to "leveling through the content" my advice is you take your time, and have fun with it. CoX isn't like most MMOs where all the cool stuff is at the end, but instead between level 1 and level 50. In fact, until very recently there wasn't much to do after you hit 50. Now they have this Incarnate thing going on, that is supposed to make your character more powerful without actually going up in level (and of course to provide endgame content to our 50s).
I've been here about 3 1/2 years and I still have yet to reach 50 on any toon (of course if I hadn't have taken so many breaks, I probably would be by now). Anyway, enjoy your time here. It's a great game, with probably the best community you'll encounter on the internet.

Hi guys, I just posted a new arc to replace the one I made back when we first got the AE system. Just wanted to see if anyone would like to try it out, and leave some feedback. What do you like, not like? Too easy, too hard? Too long, too short (not that it can get any longer)?
Enjoy.
EDIT: I had to make a few spelling corrections, and re-publish the arc. It's now arc #482183. -
I just made a new AE arc to replace my original one (made that one back when we first got AE), and about half the missions my main character is there playing along with the player. When I went and did the test run, I just found it incredibly fun playing alongside myself, and was wondering how many (if any) others were arrogant enough to put themselves in their own arcs.
-
Something else I noticed today was odd graphical glitches on various objects from the story arc creation screen, to objects in the actual missions like pictured in the screenshot below. I haven't noticed this anywhere else until I started using AE Thursday night.
Any help in figuring this out would be appreciated. -

Quote:Recently, there was a player who was developing a hand signal recognition system he had hooked up to play City of Heroes with that I know. It was too long ago for me to find the thread, however, as I remember neither the player name nor the thread title.Quote:Someone had a video of them controlling the game with motion capture of some sort. Was very cool.Quote:I seem to remember a thread about using a DDR pad and another device to play.
EDIT: Here it is. -
I've played a number of MMOs since 2005, and of all of them this one has the greatest community (and the game itself isn't too bad either
). Most others are pretty bad, one or two could potentially make even WoW's community blush.
I, however, hope "those other games" do succeed because they'll keep all those players you talked about over there, and away from here. -
Not sure if this is a bug, or something with my graphics, but I noticed this today thought this was the best place to ask about it. At various points while working on my arc I noticed the text was all messed up.
I'm running on Ultra Mode, 1360x768 resolution, ATI Radeon HD 5670 (512 MB) graphics card. -
Most games I do use mouse-n-keyboard, but I got a Xbox controller for Christmas this year and used it for a Certain Other game and it made that game A LOT easier and more fun to play. I know a while back I remember seeing something where a guy used a macro program, and Microsoft's voice recognition software to play STO. I think he still had to use WASD and all to control the ship, but he could say "fire all phasers" and the ship would start firing.

Quote:I agree with that ^.I'm probably in the minority in thinking that Anne Hathaway isn't a good choice for Catwoman. To me, Selina's supposed to radiate enough sex appeal to actually put a dent in Bruce's dedication to justice, and Michelle Pfeiffer pulled that off well, I think. However, I'm not yet convinced Anne Hathaway can play a devious seductress.
Quote:All I can say is that people, myself included, said the same thing when they heard Heath Ledger as the Joker. I ate those words with delight at how it turned out.
I put my faith in Nolan.
Ooooooh, I like that a lot better than "The Dark Knight Rises". -
Isn't Fusionette really young too? Personally, I don't really care, I hardly ever noticed. In fact, the only other time it even crossed my mind was a few days ago when I saw a post that made me wonder why there weren't any schools in Paragon (that I've seen, anyway).
-
I don't have any screenshots, and apologize if these have been brought up, but there were two "Detail 2" options called "Bot Shield" and "Tek Shield" that I don't see anymore. I have them on two of my characters that I made when I first joined (and haven't really played since
). I always thought they were kind of cool though, and would be nice on one of my main's costumes.

So, for those who are against this would you have preferred Power Girl?
Also I felt this was appropriate.
