  1. Let's be honest, with CoH down this will leave a bitter taste in all of us. We will most likely not want to try other ncsoft games as they never and I mean never will be able to fill the void CoH had for all of us. Most of us, including me, grew up with this game. I can honestly say that about myself, from 14 to 22 now. No other game will offer what CoH does. No other game has the community coh does. And no other game has a Nemesis plot like CoH does.

Regardless, when the lights go out, NCSoft will go down. The other games do not compare and are simply the "same old ****" in which I think people should chance towards NCSoft
"Same old ****!" "Same old ****"

The life is superpowered MMOs is about to die with the one that started it all.

Now it's all on to fantasy lore.

This wont end well for them. So that is at least a little bit of good news.

Correct. The news is still settling. I'm still researching how to solve the issues and brainstorming along with all the other people. I also know there was some shenanigans somewhere revolving around all of this.

My detective instincts are kicking in. Something just doesn't smell right..
  3. This is stupid how hard all this is hitting me..
  4. Something really has to be done.
I will support the heck out of anything if its money to start up a project or to help keep servers, you bet i'll help. I'd pay $15 a month for a game like this any month.

When it comes down to it, it's all about money. Well CoH was that unique thing that made money. It was new and exciting for it being a comic book themed mmo rather than a fantasy mmo.

The thing is, fantasy is the same old **** over and over. No uniqueness. Just fantasy lore. So eventually when you break it down it's all the same.

Now enter COH, which has an almost entirely different type of community. In order to make a successful MMO you need competition to make yourself push more to be the best. When the MMO's drop out of the comic theme MMO, which DCUO and CO will eventually go that route, they will lose their ability to survive and to will fall. People will get bored. I'm not a fantasy buff, as im a comic book fan, so I cannot get into anything else like the unique experience City of Heroes has offered.

Basically, I get the game gets old, what doesn't? The thing is, they built a community that will ALWAYS comes back. Through the worst updates of the game, to the best. They will be back. Because this is something different. This is something unique and unlike the rest. A pioneer in its own, if you will. Now they pull the plug and hope to make more revenue by investing time and resources into these other projects. When the problem still stands that without competition, you get worse and worse and it all becomes cliche. That's what the MMO experience is outside of coh. Very... very cliche.

I just don't want to see it go. Not like this.
  5. Without coh and having to uninstall it, I dont know how i'll feel. I'll probably have to stay away from watching videos on youtube because i'll feel sad.
  6. Long story shot, I've been here since launch. I was 14 then and am 22 now. I met extraordinary people that helped me out in bad real life situations. I also found support when I had a death in the family. I thought I was always going to be around in some form until they closed the doors. Well, after so many years, its finally happening. I do not understand why City of Heroes is closing as it is still a greatly active MMO game.

Thank you devs for sticking around and helping me have a good time playing this game.

I grew up with comics and still do, and yet this was the only game I could get into for so long.

One last thing, can you unban my Frost Markins account so I can see those guys one last time before calling it quits on coh?

That is an insane suggestion. You are insane!

  10. Sup, I'm the guy who said all that stuff. I mainly play a pb and I do think I have figured it out.

You do not have to copy my build above but I built for both pve and pvp. I got an all in one build. And lately, it's worked out just great in RV.

It's all about how quick you are and what your combinations are.

Little tip: Never dull pain before reconstruction
  11. Just got back from the movie and I enjoyed it. Not the best but not the worst.

First off, Batman isn't dead. The auto pilot was fixed.
Second off, how did Robin get the coordinates to the bat cave? Did Batman KNOW he was going to die?
Third, Christian Bale himself has stated that if the script was good he would return.

    What does all that mean?
  12. I havn't gotten a drop in more than 4 months and now I finally reached 400 rep where 4 month ago I was probably at 0.

It's muffed up on my end. I am not allowed drops.
  13. EDIT: Nevermind, corrected the issue. Please remove this topic as I do not know how

here's my advice. Give it a cute name like Cuddles the Kitten since its not going to be taken seriously. Give it a cute costume with cat ears and focus on /em dance then hope no one sees you.
    <p>

What is your damage, little girl?

I do not have perma anything. I dont need it. Really.

I fly through stuff like its nothing. I can even solo AVs.

I got rebirth as my power for light form drop
    Heals for the drop

To have a good pb, you should not rely on perma light form. Or the other forms. The other forms are weaker. Maybe for pve they are cool. But my usual chains can out damage the other two forms. They are useless to me.

You havnt seen a proper pb obviously and I would gladly use a transfer to go to the server you are on and show you what I've been trying to get you.

No, it doesn't. You can't get blood from a stone. There is a maximum mathematical amount of performance you can get out of any build and nothing you can do will change that.

Seriously, there are a lot of nub pb's out there. Those of us that take it seriously know what to do. And out damaging a scrapper is actually quite easy. The only way it cant happen is if they crit every 3-4 attacks.

"Which in this game, makes you useless. Thanks for playing."

I am sorry, but you are ridiculously ignorant. And it pisses me off slightly. But i'll let it go because not every knows until they experience it.

Kelds? You need at least 3-4 different binds and have a well slotted build to do much with em.
I have no binds. I am all human. Really Its not hard to play one. It's really common sense. But if you're looking for a at that doesnt have a bunch of stuff to figure out (aka go all human or forms) dont do it.

But for the veteren player that know what to do, it is still the best AT and most well rounded. Ok not THE best. But it is top tier.

WS's do not compare to PB's at all. I can't even get into them.

As with any other MMO there is simply no room here for a character type that does many things badly and nothing well, and that's Peacebringers summed up.
I can out perform or at least match up with all scrappers and most brutes. (I am not aoe heavy)

    So.. busted.

You just need to know how to run the AT correctly. It really matters.

-Since one heal is an ally heal and one is a self heal, it's more like one heal either way. Neither of them are good.
-You can't make an attack chain out of two 'great' melees. Trust me, I tried.
-You need more than a single res toggle to have any sort of staying power.
-Blasts actually aren't very good. They do chain, though.
-I tried them, the AoEs aren't very good either.
-Inherent flight's not that much of a bonus these days, since every build can spare a slot for a travel power and even the ones that don't can get Ninja Run.
-Photon Seekers are pretty good, but that's one good, unique power in twenty-seven.
-Actually there's two, and I can tell you aren't even very good as a Peacebringer because you didn't take it into account, Light Form is pretty great nowadays but doesn't really make up for the rest.
I respect your opinion, but as a PB only player (yes I basically only play my pb because its the most well rounded and awesome toon out there) I am basically a regen blaster.
I have reconstruction and dull pain - that makes 2 great heals.
With melee, expecially in pvp, I'll use the Incandescent strike and Gleaming blast follow up by anything. RInse repeat. Or switch it up for faster DPS.

If I am not very good on my pb as you may think, you should come to freedom and see what a real PB is.

Yeah, I mainly pvp. And I wreck. A pb, that is very well known, and can make people afraid to leave the base. Still think they're terrible? Come meet Next Spirit. He thinks otherwise my friend.

    Yeah im so bad..lol
I just found out how to run the archetype correctly. Unlike many others. There are some of us good PB's out there. Just rare because most people dont have a clue what to do with the set.

PS - I'm all human form.

I personally believe the PB's to be one of the best AT when you know how to play it.
    2 heals.
    2 great melee
    1 res toggle
    3 good chaining blasts
    1 good aoe
    1 good pbaoe
    1 good cone
    Inherit Flight
    Photon seekers are beast

Yeah theres more. But, when it comes to pve, i will most likely out dps you.
When it comes to pvp, I will most likely decimate you.

    Do not ever underestimate PB's.
  21. I kind of enjoyed it. I may be the only one.

Plus on my first try it went very smooth with no problems and got all the badges I could I believe.

Plus I got the knockdown proc which was great.

They all look great and I personally really like what Bio Armor does when it changes your characters appearence.

But that does not disclude the fact that water blasting is now a real thing. Think about it. Hundreds of people use other sets to mimmick water blast. Yeah, even kinetic melee.
So imagine the idea that its actually there and the animations look great?

It's just one of the things a lot of people have been wanting for a long, long time.
