    I played both tonight. Similar results. Toss a coin or look at whether or not you want to be slightly more defensive or slightly more offensive. As its DP I thought the corrupter felt better.

    Four fitness pool powers? I'd of chose trip mine, stack them heavy, lure AV, knock of 10% of the fight (clearly a solo thing).

    I have a lot of stalkers and enjoy my elec/elec character as much as any of them.

    No need to post in both sections. I will have to get my TA/DP Massachussetts upto the same mission as my DP/TA China to see how both do but have a feeling that the one who does the mission first will have the greater disadvantage.

    They have the same powers pretty much and similar slotting. I have a feeling that the net result will be the same. The defender should be better in a team environment I think, vigilance might make up for their naturally low DPE and when solo defenders do more damage now. The Corrupter should at times be able to skip an otherwise needed debuff at times, they don't have vigilance but have scourge that increases their dpe so the net effect is that they may be very similar.

    Edit: Another thing is that whichever one I play second will be the one with more drink in me skewering the results some.

    Some peoples sets rely on mobs in melee for survivability and control and then sometimes a group can be too closed to another which can lead to an impending team wipe with a tanker standing last due to aggro caps. Corner pulling has it's moments of usefulness, maybe as much as 3 times in some missions.

    Then there are reasons for herding, survivability can come from mobs being debuffed. AoE debuffs such as Radiation Infection is only a 15ft rad. Your aura is likely to be an 8 ft rad so for the rad to not get aggro the tighter the better. Swings and roundabouts but I will say that usually I just charge through the middle and turn groups backs to the teams where I can and start with that. Any that don't keep facing me get taunted. I usually taunt the ones nearest to the teams on the turn.

    Some people die as a result of others. Debuffers can debuff but a Tanker may not keep the aggro on them and off of that debuffer. Sometimes it can be that super io setted player who rushes off killing things spawning ambush after ambush that come for the players who are basically at SO level. Good players aren't immortal, good players keep the other players in mind. I tend to judge a bad tanker easiest when I see a dead defender but if that dead defender was up a tankers butt sharing all the effects what could he of done?

    I come across tankers with no auras. It's never pleasant. I mean they really don't provide much of a benefit to teams and tankers with taunt who taunt the targets they're hitting rather than the targets a few feet away killing somebody else make me wonder. Then there is those who direct damage towards or onto people, who taunt from far away and allow 5 taunted targets to come to the team with more than double that untaunted. Then there are those who run headlong into an ambush point. This is a point where the tank can aggro cap and anyone up his butt can aggro cap.

    To I try to be first in battle? I intend to be but other people will push for another group whilst one is being dealt with. I like to leave a group early whilst people mop up and set the next but some are off sooner than that and I can't leave people relying on me. Usually if I see someone do something suicidal I don't follow. It could be suicidal for the entire team. Nothing heroic in playing a lemming following an idiot but it can be fun and sometimes a really cool fight which people love so it depends on what mood I am in, if I am playing a Scrapper I don't feel like I got many responsibilities so then I would probably go be that lemming.

    I used to have repel and say some nice things about it but it was long ago. My philosophy is if you can't find something positive about a power then maybe you just aren't imaginitive or thoughtfully indepth enough.

    Repel had been good for me but I prioritized and my build changed. Some powers that look bad in the early levels due to lack of slotting or inexperienced play can come good later on.

    Too many guides give one star to a perfectly good power and tell people with some self ordained authority what's worth taking and what is not, what people will need and what they will not, hello crystal ball.

    Guides are just that and maybe sometimes they're there to tell people what they'd imagine what most people agree with. A good guide never tells people everything no matter which way I look at it. I've always believed that once you know the magic trick the magic is gone.

    Your wrong about me. The impressions you get are imaginary. To base reality upon your impressions is not healthy. It's unfair to assume. I could have you done for character deformation on these boards but you have taken up much of my time already.

    It seems stupid to say its not a heal, because it is. If Im having trouble with my team getting mezzed, Im definitely not calling in a stormy. Stormy's have too much going on to be bothered healing people. I take a very hands on approach with my stormy, using my cane/fr to keep my teammates safe. And I have never had someone ask for heals from me, though I have been asked for sb before.
    I might six slot it with some heal sets for a bonus like rechg but it's not a heal, it's more than that. I don't therefore wait for someone to need it as a heal as the buffs from it can be equally or more important. By concentrating on the other stormy sides of things you might do more mitigation for the group than you would for a single person anyway.

    I find the tohit debuff of some defender sets overkill in teams, Flash Arrows tohit debuff can stack to some reasonably well defensed characters build. Let them be first in to consolidate aggro just as I poison gas. I tend to move ahead of the team more of as a Scout when playing a Trick Archer to ensure that Flash is in first, the fact that there are no anchors means I can push ahead by a couple of seconds. The late notice mobs get from being -per'd is helpful too. The difference of using FA to a typical teams health bars is notice able to me at any rate.

    I've tanked for teams and whilst aggro capped or keeping damage from other people a scrapper goes off and overwhelms himself with mobs, maybe aggro cap in the hopes of me taking it from them if I can.

    I might do if from weighing the probable outcome it concerns me that the other players in the team will be compromised from the scrappers actions.

    Otherwise Scrappers are off my to save list like the last of my priorities.

    Again where are these people who like to see the tanker in first? I tend to find it tedious chasing around pulling peoples nappies up for them by making needless recoveries from the inefficient messes some people like to make.

    Can't you use Mids Herobuilder? I really felt privileged from using Herobuilder. I hate feeling privileged though as it then makes me feel bad that others can't.

    I'll write a build out for you on Mids if you can't.

    I liked it. I'd of liked to of read more about knockback. How much Mag is required to KB what. I got that info somewhere I think and if not Culex I think done somit on it years ago (excel sheet).

    Edit: I got Gale on all my stormies but its a control power.

    Edit2: Heavily all for O2 as well. 6 slotted. Not a heal to me tho.

    I looked at your build and it did for me have too many +7.5% rechg bonuses in it at first!

    I thought about it, how can it have more recharge without over bonusing anything, do more damage and yet not slip into using the extra expensive sets and came up with this simple change:

    I came to a conclusion a few hours ago with people taking offense to the words I used in the beginning.

    They can go to hell.

    Remembering where I first learned the term "straight acting" things became clear. Gay guys and Bisexual guys use it in Blind Dating adverts in order to describe the type of man they liked.

    So if they're using those words then the nobodies that are the self appointed forum police saying is offensive can just rack off. If it's good for the goose it's good for the gander. I no longer care if it is offensive.
