This can be overwhelming for a new pvper, so to give the team a little chance at survival as well as to help those players eligible to try a healer we brought in ringer emps (one for each proposed team).
Wait a minute...I'm supposed to watch my own buff bar too? Sonofa...no wonder my teams die/lose so much.

Yeah, to anyone who has any concerns...from what I'm seeing there are going to be a TON of new people here. New people means sloppy spikes/buffs/heals which means less kills (since spikes aren't great and the ringer emps should be on the ball) which means the learning curve isn't as dramatic as say...if your new group of friends decided to joined Test leagues back in the day and got rolled 73 to -4 against some of the top tier teams.

Just relax and enjoy the learning experience.
  2. 1.Make Accolades less grindy:
Seeing as you have to get these several times over if you PvP or are a completist, just a massive timesink that I'd love to avoid.

    2.More outside content:
New players complain the game is deserted becaue they can't see anyone. Adding interactive outside content might change this.

    3.Better team forming:
Something that would add you to a team or offer the option would be fantastic...
  3. Updated and alphabetized

    Yes!!
I traded PMs with witters (play with them on Pinnacle) and he seemed really psyched about this. Good to see him join!

After that TF I went afk the rest of double xp.
We run +4LGTFs on Infinity fairly regularly, they take about 1:15 hours.
    Of course, "we" includes:
4 VEATs and 3 of those VEATs are pretty tricked out.

Then we add a Dominator or two, maybe a Scrapper and a Controller.
The Inf is pretty sweet, five to eight million from mobs alone, clear fifteen million in the first few missions. Plus, it is kinda nice to steamroll +4s.
  6. I have a 50 MA/SR, accod but not entirely IOd and not Alphad, throw me a global @Neuronia when rolling and I might help out.
  7. Right now it's my defense capped Crab Spider with nearly perma pets, so much fun.

    Remember what happened last league?
Non-stop drama about drafts, teams, sportsmanship and non-stop voting. I swear I spent more time voting than I did PvPing.

Oz is right. There were too many rules, last one was non-stop drama when all we really needed to decide was which maps/powers to ban and match times/lineup submissions. Oh, and roster allowances.

    I had these too.

    Workaround I used:

Log into a guildportal site under whatever your guildportal is, then just head to the Cape website and click "Join". Worked for me after a while.
  10. Nice, r0x re-upped.

Masque, I copied my Emp/Psy to Victory, but I'm levelling a Fire/Pain as well (level 15 atm)...will there be any teaming/grouping at all? I know no one on Victory, or any channels or anything...slow going getting to 50 solo.

Level of PvP experience: Veteran. Test/Live: Statesman's Watch AKA Integrity, Paragon Elite, Awesome Avengers, dUmb, Run Forrest Run, Mmmm Good, Average Joes, Arts & Crafts Begins @ 9, various small server teams/leagues on Champion, Freedom, Pinnacle, Infinity. Mostly played Emp, some Grav/TA. I tried playing Blaster once in a practice, that ended badly.
Access to Ventrilo and/or mic: Yes/No

  12. I'd like to help with this, where do I sign up?
NM trying to sign in but the GP site isn't taking my usual login.
    NM applied finally!

So, if 10 people each put a clockwork winder on the market over the last 20 minutes, and 10 individual people show up and want to buy those winders, ordinarily they'd pay about 5k. But if a "market blocker" is on at the same time, the blocker will just put a few bulk offers in place, buy all 10 new CW winders, and force the 10 individuals who show up to pay them instead.
    Yeah.

I tried this once. I was on my Thorns Dom, had a few million and there was a low supply of say...Clockwork Gears. I bought them all, then another showed up. I had to pay much more for that one...and the other one...until I realized I just didn't have enough inf (I had 12,000,000 on me at the time) to buy ALL the supply, because the supply was INFINITE! Thus I learned a hard lesson, that if I was going to try and flip or corner something...salvage wasn't the best place to start.
  14. We did an RSF once with a bunch of Scrappers, a perma Mind Dom and a couple Corrs. Went swimmingly well.

Other day ITF with a couple Tankers, a Scrapper, my VEAT, a Mind/Energy Dom and two MMs (one was a Bot FF the other a Thug/Pain I think) and we did pretty well.

I generally don't care what people bring as long as they can contribute somehow. The worst that happens is you don't have the DPS/-Regen/Coordination to get it done...actually the worst is when you get someone under level or just leeching, and they afk for half the missions then you just kick them because they've done diddly squat all TF...but that hasn't happened often of late.
  15. Just an independent observer here, punki generally just does his own thing and moves on, but I don't follow AC or drama over here so I may be way out of the loop.

Whenever I've teamed with him, whether PvE or PvP he's been really mellow, nice and done the best that's been asked of him in any match or team. Hardly someone I'd classify a troll or anything. I wouldn't mind playing with punki again, it's always been pretty fun.
  16. I play mainly on three servers:

Champion: Awesome community, great global channel in BMT of Champion and a little of everything you'd want.

Pinnacle: Lively and drunk and easy to grope. Errr, make that group.

Infinity: Mostly play Red here and am well-settled, but nice small-pop server.
  17. Last phase of Hami Raid, hit it for a buff and...

I'm terrible at everything in this game but I like making friends. That said, any PvP over there and seeing I'm in NA Eastern time, what time are people on for teaming?

Don't want to extend the drama here but most leagues have had a waiver that only one of a person's accounts can be present in a match at one time, to prevent account-sharing, which is a bannable offense through NC, not that they would do that as they can't really prove it. The rule wasn't there this time though, it seems.

Pretty sad this team had to disband, it was fun while it lasted.
Thanks for picking us up AJ.
  20. The chances are miniscule, exacerbated by the fact teams tend to zone in on a single target. We got a Panacea:Heal drop in practice the other day and that was the first one I'd seen in almost 4-5 weeks...

I read through the original thread and saw you asked the Emps to roll as Pains...so I rolled a Fire/Pain Corruptor, level 9 at the moment but will be moving it blueside for Accolades etc once it's 20.

Since I am not a PVPer, I don't know what changes resulted in this outcome. But I know that it used to be a lot more "inclusive" of builds, and nowadays it isn't. That "inclusiveness" is what I think made pre-i13 PVP a much better experience, even if it was flawed from a "balance" point of view.
Well your Ill/Emp is still useful, but you'll need 41 points of KB protection, Phase Shift, capped hp...and your heals will be terrible if you use them more than once every 8 seconds, so yeah. You're better off having fun with your friends in Arena with Heal Decay and Travel Suppression off, since doing anything in a zone debuffs you and hinders your movement...

Now sure, a few things might need to be tweaked, some powers are over-powered, but that has to be done as little as possible and only when absolutely necessary, otherwise your potential pool of players goes way down.

    My 2 inf.
Agreed. Add in IOs, Accolades, new rules for holds and damage...it's just not worth it anymore unless you are doing a friendly in Arena, where you can tweak settings.
  24. Buffers were useful for other stuff than Clear Mind and Absorb Pain.

    Also:

"So yeah, basically running 2 emps 5 psi/ems and a rad/ that TK's players into not being able to evade is boring. Very effective. But Boring. pre i13 I felt like there were more options there."
