Quote:#2 is the capslock reiteration of #1 to make sure it sinks in.am i missing something? Aren't Goatrule #1 and Goatrule #2 the same? Are all the Goatrules the same?
Also I made 10 million more on the second sale, implying that even a ridiculous price you pull out of thin air could still be too low if demand is high enough and supply low enough. -
Quote:they flatlined during Meow Fever etc etc.Wow. I have crazy amounts of Karma and Steadfast KB protection crafted IOs across all the levels. I quite selling them quite some time ago after prices dropped to where I was only making 2-3M profit per sale. Looks like it's time to unload some of my excess.
RagManX
Now that they've got MA semi under control the really low level ones have bounced back. -
I wish I had another one stockpiled so I could sell it for 60.
For the record, I listed that one at 41.
also, I never thought I'd see the day but I just bought and crafted a full set of Crap of the Hunters for this character. =/ -

Quote:Any comic reader over a certain age would immediately recognize the name from the Wolfman/Perez run on New Teen Titans.
And Google is hard to use or something?
if players are expected to exercise due diligence or get generic'ed you'd expect a corporation with a lot more on the line than a name and costume to do the same. -

Quote:They didn't seem very eager to "defend" their original design for the Black Market semi against the Transformers franchise.NCSoft is willing to pay their lawyers to defend their characters in court but is unwilling to soak the expense of being sued due to YOUR characters. Seems simple enough.
In any case double standards that crap on paying customers are a bad idea.
I'm not surprised by this, I'm simply pointing out the hypocrisy of hammering players for something they themselves indulge in. -
I know they ignore the bonus from Targeting Drone, which makes me think you're on the money here.

Quote:Exactly! For example, I recently sold a lvl30 LOTG 7.5% recharge recipe for 180million. There were 0 listings when I posted it and the last 5 sales were all from 90mil-150mil. I posted for 180 and simply waited a week. presto! the wantitNAO! shoveled out the cash.
LotG recharges were where I first discovered the rule, way back when.
Until I publicly 'outed' my niche I was consistently buying them for 20-30 million and selling them for 100+.
Nice to see it still works even in our modern merit-infested world. -
I'm reporting the devs for infringing copyright.
Or it this one of those things that's cool when they do it? -
Quote:I myself have been making bank on the fact that the interface LOVES to find enhancements and HATES to find recipes. You *can* use it to your advantage by tailoring your market uses to take advantage of our wonderful new "features". Like selling multiple copies of the same thing. So basically, I'm letting the new market UI dictate how I'm conducting at least some of my business. Social engineering ftw.

Quote:Uggh, good point. I ignore those vet rewards, I think I've only claimed them on on character.I don't think anyone's answered this yet, but they'd never allow mailing merits to ourselves. Anyone who has the 60-month (not to mention the 72-month) Veteran Reward would have an infinite supply of merits. Create a new character, instantly receive 5 (or 11) Merits, mail them to yourself, delete character, rinse, repeat.
The annoying part is they're token amounts. They're about as useful to me as (yet another) free costume token.
But while we're in wish for a Magic Pony! mode, how about a branching reward- you get *either* the merits or either the ability to email merits to yourself or an account-wide 'merit pool' any of your characters can roll from.
Come to think of it, the account-wide pool would help fix the drought of non-max level recipes. Earn the merits with your IO'ed out 50, roll them on one of your lower level alts if you want. -

Quote:You can be absolutely sure that *anything* good (this is the operative word- good. If it's good, volume is irrelevant) with 0 listings is underpriced. Buyers know it's good and they are sucking up 100% of the supply. A smart seller notices this and prices accordingly. While there's a certain amount of sense in the goat's rule, you can't be sure on low volume items like this without seeing the lvl 10 and 12 versions and their histories.
The price of adjoining levels has no bearing. As we speak I'm buying up a different 'good' recipe. I'm getting it for around 200k at one level, 3 million at another and 5 million at another. I'm selling all three of them for around the same price and making a grotesque profit on the lot.
This is why it's useful to know the value of items independent of what other players are selling it for. The 0 listing thing is a shortcut to spotting value. -

A new series of market advice with helpful visual aids.
Rule Number One.
Anything good with 0 listings is underpriced.

Quote:I'll definitely post the big respec build. I have probably 80% of what he'll need sitting in base storage and I have a good chunk of the inf I'll need to buy the rest of it, so Zero Hour is fast approaching. There are some powers I don't want to lose so it'll be a modified version of the helpful suggestions above- I'm actually going to (finally) install Mid's to plan it out.if you don't mind, please post your final build with all the shiny new IOs. would make a great wish list for mine down the road.
I'll do a big reveal with build and screenshots and maybe a marching band. =)
I stumbled onto a team running pt 1 of the new Posi TF (good times, I highly recommend it) last night while checking my bids. IOs have definitely bumped up his 'fun factor', even if he isn't (yet) the monster he was in his pre-ED prime. -

Quote:I haven't noticed the end on FT being outrageous, but I'll take your word for it. I don't mind the DoT either, or the animation time, so my affection for the power is obviously atypical. =PIf they cut the endurance cost of flamethrower (massivlely disproportionate for its damage) and/or front loaded the damage, that would solve a chunk of the problem.
And probably cut the endurance cost of M30. That thing costs and awful lot for what it does.
Quote:No matter what they do: DO NOT TAKE MY BEANBAG.
I am concerned at the amount of people who consider it a useless power... although so did I for 4 years.
It's a fantastic power I ignored for a very long time, kinda like the way my kat/regen scrapper ignored Divine Avalanche until after he hit 50. =/
It doesn't *sound* sexy compared to most of the other stuff in the set, but once you use it you wonder how you ever got along without it.
Quote:It's a Sniper Rifle in a super hero/comic book game. Let us USE it like one, and actually hit someone at serious range. Make AR the "Sniper Set".
Quote:That's because Fire cannot deal more AOE damage than AR in less time. Assault Rifle's AOE trumps Fire's easily.
On paper, Fire Blast can produce approximately 314 points of damage (unenhanced) in 5.7 seconds with Breath, Ball and Rain. In reality, Rain will never do its full damage due to mob scatter, and most Fire blasters skip Rain because of that. So, Fire's effective damage is lower than its max potential.
I'm not a numbers guy, but where the rubber meets the road my fire/ice blows the doors off my ar/dev, and they're both about evenly IO'ed out at this point.
Quote:Assault Rifle's AOE ability is just peachy.
I still wish it had better synergy with /dev. -
Quote:This would've been great for our team- we mowed pretty much everything in all the missions except for the big Atlas Park map at the end, and I think we ended up clearing about 1/2 of it even so.If TFs were rejiggered to reward at least one recipe roll's worth of merits if clean-swept (via optional clear-all objectives or the like), this effect would be ameliorated, without removing the option for skipping objectives, speeding up the run, and still ending up with a superior reward/time.
Quote:Originally Posted by SpittingTrashcanI'd just like to add that, rewards concerns aside, the new Posi I and II are both excellent TFs and lots of fun in their own right. -
