My feeling exactly. Somewhere out there Adm. Akbar is yelling "It's a trap!".
I should be there, full armed and operational for combat... as well as dancing the funky chicken. -

Just some thoughts:
After the mitos are down, let all non-attacks get thier hits.
Give the Hami Taunt brute some EoEs (because they will need them during the successive blooms.
Summon MM and HVAS pets (all perma pets) outside the jello.
Drop 3 Bio nukes.
Yellow taunters go to positions as attackers jump to Hami.
Drop 3 Chem nukes on Hami.
Hope for the best.
I think if we could have put the +450% on the pets (HVAS esp) we could have had enough burst to drop Hami.
Also, the hami taunt brute fell after the second bloom. Even with PainBringers it was too much spike damage without any EoEs (He/She was out of EoEs before we started attacking).

As of 12:58pm Central Standard Time the War Zone is up and running again. Woot.

Before it was RWZ and just RCS, there was only Ace to get.
After that you need to get them all, but note: 1 character doesnt have to get them all. You could have different characters, all in SG mode, each getting some of the exploration badges to get the beacon for your SG so long as each is earned at least once. -
49.5 unboosted. Mostly unboosted. I did get the enhancement station jump boost, so no Kin boosts. Super jump and sprint toggles on.
Tricks for success:
Jack Rabbit start: Dont just stroll through the gates. Start on the platform BELOW where the race starts. SJ up then on the decent pass through the gates to start the run at top speed. Saves a few seconds of acceleration.
Left, jump, right: Go left to the portal, then mini jump the up or down section, but dont skip the platform. You want to jump just enough to make it and keep sliding. You slow down in the air. For that reason again, go right for the straight run to the finish. It is possible to make a perfect jump on the left path by frosty, but its safer and oft faster to go right.
Perfection: Minimize touching the walls on the slope and gun it.
It is possible, just really hard to gold medal w/o boosts.

The devs made Pool 'C' drops available from boss kills around i16. They have a drop rate around 1:200. This thread is correct and the wiki is outdated(needs to be updated).
I've probably recieved more than Ive noticed but I have got Posi:%(werewolf Prae Arc), LotG:7.5 (Rikti Chief Soldier LGTF), and Lockdown:Quad (Bres : Baby New Year mission) just in the last month.

If I can remember to, Ill xfer one of my tanks over for this. Never done a TT off Champ before.

Actually it says to post in the City of Heroes BETA forums. =P
(the file location is not on your PC... its the location of file on the PC that builds the releases.)
That popup is a relic of the engine thats been around since beta. It shows up everyonce and a while for no good reason. Been a year since I last saw it. Pretty much client crash. Restart (usually with verify) and youll be fine. -
Depends what you have targeted.
Known bug that hasten and other clicks (like active def for Shield Def) set to auto will not fire if targetting an neutral NPC (like WW vendor, or Detectives). They work fine with nothing targetted or a hostile NPC. -

My then not wife and I worked in the same department but with different projects/assignments. She was also married. We had a mutual friend (but didnt know) that I started playing CCGs with over the lunch hour and after work sometimes. She wasn't much of a CCG'er but liked to play DnD, but she played CCGs with us at lunch anyways. So I got to know her a little that way.
Then one day while we are playing cards after hours, she drops the bomb that she filed for divorce and booted her now ex out. One of those akward moments. (He too was a gamer, tho more of a srs min-maxer and not relaxed like me.) Anyways, about 3 weeks later after work she calls me up and wants to come over to my apartment to talk. Knowing about her divorce, I say sure. My brother and father were on thier way up to a football game and I said they could crash at my place to save on hotel costs, so I know she can only stay for a few hours before they arrive. So I quick clean up the bachelor pad as best I could in the 10 mins it takes her to get to my place. We chat and talk for a while, and a little while more, and the time files, then my dad and bro show up and she gets the hint, we say our good byes and she leaves. I get a weekend full of "Who was that?" etc. etc. Something I wanted to avoid as really she was just a co-worker going through a divorce at this point.
So we continue to play cards together and are in the same DnD group for a while before the inevitable question is asked by her..."Do you want to see a movie?" Her grand father and mine were WW2 vets so we go see "Saving Private Ryan". Great first date movie. >.> But we both loved it. Later that fall she decides to come see me play hockey and wants to learn how to skate. So off to the mall where there is a public rink and I start teaching her (on a Sunday). Monday morning, literally less than 24 hours later, pictures are circulating in the office of me holding her hand on the ice. The dept secretary was at the mall, saw us and took pictures and had them developed. We were the talk of the office for quite a while until she left for a different department (partially to squeltch all the chatter). We slowly did more stuff together, moved in together in April, engaged in June. The rest is history.
Side story :
We are almost 9 years apart in age. But I had her pegged about 4-5 years too low in age, and she pegged me about 4-5 years too high. We didn't realize the age difference until much much later.. like after we were engaged. Didn't matter, just one of those eye opening things. I was stalked by a "cougar" =)

Tanker Tuesday is not a PvP event. At the Third Anniv we did have a "Slobber-knocker" Arena PvP event. But to my knowledge, thats the only TT sanctioned PvP ever. Thats not to say you couldn't try to rally a team together to go PvP. By all means, you can recruit from the wall just the same as anyone else, but TT is more about teaching new tanks in the PvE department than anything else.

That was fun last night. Even if a little bit brief. (tucked it in after a little over an hour)
Between the return of my family and the Orange Bowl, and Tanker Tuesday, I wasn't exactly on the top of my game being pulled in so many directions. We ran a few BNY missions and a PI paper mission. Cherry and Squirrel died alot. Leveled alot as well, but by baby tank I thought Cherry meant like level 7 or so. Oh no, level 2. Tuatha and Red Caps are not nice to low level heroes.
I so want the "tank" power instead of Fire Armors otherwise pointless tier 9. Take that Granite!
And everything ended well with the family all tuckered out in bed on time, and my alma mater stiffling the triple option for a 24-14 win. Go Hawks!
I'll be back on top of things on Feb 3.

If that works then it is a bug. Assemble the team only works "reliably" when the hostage is flagged as a helper (fights along side). Neutral hostages dont, or rather aren't supposed to, get ported.

Im here... Im here.
Just got a little swamped over the last couple of days.
I shall be there tonight.

Remove ALL USB devices before booting.
File this under strange but true:
I have had 2 USB devices do the same thing to me over the years. My Z-Board Fang had a stuck key once that cause the flashing cursor hang, and most recently my LG env Touch phone plugged in during reboot. -
Its 930pm local time on the first day of the last year of a bad decade (yes 2010 is the last year of the decade, not the first. There was no year 0.) And true to form it delivered a whallop.
I had planned to drive the wife and kids the 90 miles to Moline to catch a flight to Flordia to visit her family while giving me a few days at home to goof off in peace. Booked a nice noon flight time months ago. Planned to get up, get going, hit IHOP, then drive them to the airport.
Then 2010 decide to screw with me. Okay it didnt help that I drank 2/3rds of a bottle of champaign last night.....
The flight was cancelled..... as we were printing off the boarding passes at home this morning. So we call AirTran up to see whats up, crew didnt show (supposedly). They offer a refund which we dont want and tell us that we have to go to the airport to try to get another flight. So toss everything in the truck and off we drive to Moline. Luckily we were the first of the passengers to get there for that flight, but the other flights of the day and all weekend are already booked solid. *(*&^$@!*%$@
But if I can get them down to St Louis, they can still make Florida tonight. So over to what is possibly the worst IHOP on the planet for some food (7hrs to flight at its only 4 hr drive). Undercooked pancakes (still batter in the middle) and a scorched omalet. Oh yeah, its not even noon yet. *sigh*
Then off we go. Clean sailing to STL. Drop them off and start heading home. At which point it starts to snow and blow hard. Visibility drops to 1/4mile. I end up poking along at 50mph on the interstate and my wife is delayed because they have to de-ice the plane from the precip.
She makes Atlanta before I can get home, but her connection is late so shes stuck there until the plane to Pensicola get there... (which should be arriving around now.) If all goes well, she will make Florida around 11pm. As said above, I drove 661 miles over the span of 13 hours and am totally exhausted. She's exhausted from the drama. My kids are scoring extra brownie points as they have behaved all day. 6+hrs in the car and then plane flights. So much for vacations being relaxing.
So how is 2010 treating everyone else so far. -
The number is just the relative position of the mito. #1 is the first yellow targeted by the spike, #2 the second. Its not very sophisticated. It just gives you an idea of how long youll have to be taunting before the spike catches up.
-
It was an ad hoc raid, surprised we actually got it going. Not really surprised we failed. Upset; yes. Surprised no.
And I will attribute this to one major thing: too many rookies on yellow taunt.
And one minor thing: too slow on the call for spike.
Last red side raid we did failed because of the too many rookies on yellow taunt. I think it was 4:2 rookies to vet. And tried as I might, there were too many questions not being asked and we abandoned on wave 2. Same as last night. Red side we dont have the problem of gather for buff unless we are using Bio Nukes, but on the first wave last night, the rookies were not in the main blob of people on Saferock, and 2 of the 3 rookies missed the RA buffs. That is a major no-no because with the RA buffs you dont need a EoE for 90 second. Considering it was 8 monsters to spawn, we were a bit EoE tapped at the get go.
The slow call for spike is a blue side thing related to the RA buffs. The RA buffs are nice for the yellow taunt but essential for yellow spike since they arent using EoEs. Once the RA fades (around the end of #3/start of #4) is where most assualts falter. With enough momentum, the yellow spike can push through to the end, but if its going slow, yellow spike will falter and we will wipe. The slow call for spike was related to rookie yellow taunters as too much time was wasted getting in position, and then more time went past before the spike was called. IMHO, its Hami taunt in (3-5seconds), yellow taunt (3-5s), then assualt teams. 6-10seconds from Hami taunt to assualt call. We were sitting around 30 seconds last night (gb Herostats overlay). With that much delay the RA buffs were falling around #2/#3 instead of #3/#4. And it makes a world of difference.
One other tactical nit was the positioning of vets to rookies. Cherry placed herself on #5 and #6, me on #4, and rookies on 1-3. See the problem. All the experience was on one side of the blob. My suggestions (after the fact) were to either place me on #1 and rookies on 2-4 so I could tail along covering if one of them falters or to place me on #2 for the same reason, I could watch #1, then tail along 3-4.
None of the abover really serious mistakes/problems on thier own, but together added in with some connectivity issues and you've got a furball.
Live and learn. Given what we had, Cherry and the other leaders did a fine job.
(No I didnt mention the lack of control/holds once we got through the second wave of yellows because people were bailing already. We had enough for the first wave, but the wipes on the second wave coupled with certain people's doomsaying drove off what we needed. That is not the fault of the leadership of the raid.)

Yes but its 10% chance for a 5% heal. Or a .5% heal (per mob healing over time). Solo where you only see 2-5 mobs per spawn (teamsize 1), and a 15s recharge, the best you could hope for is that it would increase your effective regen by .15%. Thats best case with 5 per group. With 3 per group it drops to .1%. And thats fireing it off right on time.
Translation: really not worth it. Ive tried it with Mind and Ice Aoe sleeps and the heal just isnt reliable or of enough magnitude to save ya if things go south. The mez/sleep is what will give you enough time to bail and regroup, not the heal. -
Yeah but after 4 hours is anyone gonna bail when the 111 merits are only another hour away =P
