  1. I'd take a a big acc and recharge debuff to replace the current rage crash. At least then it would be fair to all secondaries. The defense debuff is bane to def based toons where as res based toons don't care. With a big -recharge debuff and -acc debuff at least I can still have the possibility to do something productive while rage crashing.

Or perhaps a reverse conserve power effect. Instead of a straight drop of endurance, you have a ten second effect of all powers costing 50% more endurance to activate as well as an acc debuff. This would simulate being exhausted. This would coincide with removing the ability to stack any of the effects.

Of course I would only accept that with a buff to KO Blow's recharge.

    Soul Drain

I think it takes twice as long to recharge. Plus the numbers for buffs may be different as that goes by on an AT by AT basis, scrappers probably have a different mod than Corrs.
  3. I liked the way my Plant/Energy I leveled up on test played. With 3 attacks, brawl, origin attack, the ST hold and my two vet attacks, I always had something to click. Endurance was a non-issue.

    Solo AV

Pretty sure someone solo'd infernal on their emp.

Power Push is the new hotness.

I wonder if it will be so obviously overpowered that the Devs will get right on this problem and nerf it 4 years later.

That got a laugh out of me. I admit it.

    SR or REG???

Or if you want something new to you, Willpower is a cool choice. It's got a mixture of resistance, defense, and lots of regeneration and recovery. It's not clicky or reactive like Regen but it's a very very tough secondary. Good if you find yourself liking the fire and forget playstyle. Goes well with katana.
  7. I'm raising the picket for 16 target caps on all Domi PBAoEs. That and some kind of change to Thunderstrike. Piddly 18 damage AoE seems like it'd be better off if it was just a ST extreme damage attack like Total Focus, or switched around to the Brute/Stalker version with better AoE and knockdown.
  8. You need it. Never skip it. There will always be enemies around that can mezz you. In the late game it'll be a non-stop mezz fest for you. If you wanna see how big of a deal mezzes are, go check out the Blaster forums.

  9. Port Oakes 23
    Cap Au Diable 23
    Sharkhead Isle 36 (+1)
    Nerva Archipelago 24
    St. Martial 26
    Grandville 7 (-1)
  10. Maybe Castle will squeek in some VS changes before this goes live.

4 minute recharge and duration. Please. Pretty please?
  11. I think I'm definitely gonna re-roll plant/energy. Total Focus is just too sexy to pass up. Thunderstrike pales in comparison and the AoE barely matters.
  12. We do more damage now than we did before 100% of the time regardless of whether or not domination is running. And if you ever thought PSW was gonna continue to stay the way it was, you're deluding yourself.
  13. Crushing Impact with 5 gives a recharge bonus. Leave out one of the ones that doesn't boost endurance reduction and add a level 50 end reduction IO in every ST attack.

Miracle and Numina uniques are a given. Performance Shifter helps, or so I hear.

Purple Sets come with 10% recharge bonuses and 4% recovery most of the time.

Max out end reduction in your toggles.

Foot Stomp is a big end hog. Take care of that.

If you plan on running around with a /Kin, drop Rage. Or just don't use it. AAO saturated will give you about as much +Damage as Rage so technically you're not losing anything as you would if you were a different secondary. IO sets should cover the to-hit bonus.

The Aegis and Gladiator 3% defense IOs would help. Weave, manuevers also. Some tips if you want some extra defense.

My standard IO 50 SS/SD Brute is using 2 end reduction IOs in each attack, has no recovery bonuses, max end reduction in the toggles and doesn't have many endurance problems. That's with spamming dark obliteration. Once you start talking Rage and Hasten crashes though, it gets iffy.
  14. So I ran up Plant/Energy to level 5 in about 20 minutes solo sweeping mobs around Mercy. /Energy damage is very good and I never found myself ever having any endurance issues whatsoever.

I was jumping around, running, shooting, punching, and using Strangler like a mad man. /Energy finally gets the big punch I always wished it had. Power Push is such a cool power, too. I remember loving it waaaay back on my Grav/Energy I made when CoV launched but that guy never got very far (I discovered masterminds).

I feel like I'm actually powerful and capable of performing without a crutch. I used Dom mode purely for endurance refills. I suspect in a standard situation I'd save it for emergency end issues, pre-emptively against mobs I know that can mezz me, or when I want to spank a boss.

Plant/Energy/Soul is my new dom. I'd be very tempted to do fire control, but it's been done to death. That and Seeds of Confusion is ....amazing.
  15. Looking at it with detailed info, it looks like quite the butt kicker. The lack of a build-up type power is the only aspect that makes me take pause and consider fire or elec. FE, Blazing bolt, no damage enhancements is looking like about 400 damage!!

That said, Total Focus looks like an awesome boss destroyer. I might make an /energy Dom and build for +damage. Fire would be the natural choice to push the damage to extreme levels, but I'm leaning towards Plants just for the seeds alone.

    But man...

Fire/Energy/Soul might be the sleeper hit of the century.
  16. It definitely makes sense when you put it that way. Anyone with a high level /elec played on test yet and want to share their experiences?
  17. Overall the ST damage seems to be an improvement. Starsman's chart in the other thread shows this. I'm just a little let down by the piddly AoE portion of TS.
  18. Last night I did a check with Charged brawl. Current live it was like 81 damage. Current test it was 77 damage. Very close. If I'm remembering that correctly.

Honestly, I'd be happy with the Brute/Stalker version of Thunderstrike.

    Cunundrum...

Fire has lots of AoEs but it's still got the best, or damn near close to the best ST damage.

    Rad has lots of AoE.

    Dark has crap ST damage.

    Ice has good ST damage.

I'd say Fire or Ice. There will be times when you need AoE and Fire has that without sacrificing ST damage. Ice has good utility and very good ST damage.
  20. I know there are a lot of threads about the changes but none specifically addressing /Elec. It seems CB, HP and TS got reduced damage, end, and recharge where as the other sets for the most part got the complete opposite.

I liked having the large ST damage attacks, and while it may seem like I'd get improved DPS out of faster attacks in CB and HP, why does this set seem to be the outlier? Also, if it appears that the set is being changed to look more like Elec Melee from Stalkers/Brutes, shouldn't Thunderstrike basically be a completely different attack with a much higher AoE damage portion?

Not really complaining as my /elec dom is only level 8, but it's just a curious difference here from the rest of the assualt set changes.
  21. Fire/Kin is a powerful combination for both solo and team. You're not really as glass as you might think you are. The solitary source of my Fire/Kins problems solo were from stuns. Specifically LB Nullifiers. Bastards.

Rad/Rad would be a good solo'er. It's got decent damage, great survivability, and about a million proc options in almost all of your powers. Plus with all of those defense debuffs you don't have to worry as much about accuracy slotting.

Traps is a decent solo'er but it's slow. You do get Mez protection in FFG, though, which is golden. It would definitely be a good choice for the AV solo'ing man if you plan to soft cap your defense.

Sonic and Thermal provide poor solo'ing options.

/Dark is a monster solo'er but I'm not sure if it's robust enough to solo AVs. Anything else would be a cake walk, though.

You basically can't go wrong with a Corr combo, though. For solo purposes though I'd say just avoid /cold /therm and /sonic.
  22. Cold/ Might be pretty awesome. He'd have tons of defense plus later on you get that endurance power.
  23. Neogumbercules

    /Dark sucks?

Made a claws/dark as my first toon back in I4. Still have him to this day. One thing I like about this character is whenever I get bored I just use a respec, make something completely different, and still rock the house with it.
