That's why it's on the bottom.
  2. For everyday play, going for the S/L cap with a good amount of recharge will be a great way to build.

Now if you were purely farming I'd say go for nothing but recharge. Since you want the best coverage all around, S/L cap + some recharge will make you a beast for pretty much anything.

If it gives you more versatility, you could aim for around 35% S/L/Melee, that will give you room to add more recharge or whatever else you feel you need and put you within a small luck of the soft-cap.
  3. I'll definitely give it a whirl when/if I get to that level on my Blaster. I am /EM, so maybe the super long range Full Auto will help with the scatter like the previous poster stated.

A logic that has been dismantled, repeatedly, for years. I don't think we'll ever get a female MM primary, but if they ever allow customization they should allow us to choose male/female/huge.

I really don't get why Thugs get Leadership, but Mercs don't. Thugs are... well, thugs. They aren't loyal, trained, elite soldiers. The Commando should have Leadership powers, if anything.
  5. I think you'll find that in practice the amount of corpse blasting you end up doing will be your downfall. If you solo a lot, no problem.

And like the last poster said, if you want the concept/look, go for it. If you're looking for pure performance, there are sets out there that do comparable, if not better, DPS, and have more AoE potential and/or utility.

You can color Dark Melee to look more like energy, have a better ST chain, a self-heal to cover the only hole in Shield, and Soul Drain.
  6. Thanks for the replies people. I think I'll have to do a lot of testing with it before I decide.

If I use Full Auto before LRM I'll pull aggro and it'll get interrupted.

If I use LRM before Full Auto the knockback will completely screw up my AoE cones.

    :/

I'll I'll only be able to use it once every 90 seconds at best. And with that interrupt time, poor damage..

    LRM sucks.

    There goes my concept.
  7. Pure S/L damage

    Huge interrupt time

    Huge recharge

Now, granted, it has huge range and does a ton of damage, but is this power as fun to use as it looks? My theme is a Special Forces/Technology type character who uses guns, power gloves, and pure combat expertise. Full Auto does more damage and recharges in 20 seconds on my build. The Munitions pool is the thematic choice I'm making, but I'm feeling a little underwhelmed. It's all just a bunch of crap picks to get to LRM. Body Armor and Cryo Freeze ray are good set mules, but I can get all-around better powers from pretty much any other APP/EPP. Then you look at LRM on paper and start to wonder if it's even worth it. For example, I could go the Mace route, easily soft-cap myself to S/L/E and have an AoE immob to use with Ignite.

Why do military/real weapon themed sets get the shaft in this game (Devices, DP, Mercs, AR, Munitions Mastery). :/
  8. Thanks for keeping it alive everyone. Post updated!

    Burn

I think that has more to do with aggro control. Mobs will run like crazy from my Scrapper when I turn on burn, but they will stay nice and close when I use it on my Brute. The difference being the brute version of Blazing Aura has a taunt.
  10. Just a couple of suggetions:

I'd go with the Corsair AX850 PSU. It's probably one of the best ones you can get for the money right now. It's actually a rebranded Seasonic. Either way, it's gold rated, has a PCM controlled fan, and is fully modular (including the 24 pin) with nice braided cables.

You might want to consider going for SLI GTX 560ti. You'll get >580 performance for a lower price. The MSI Twin Frozr II GTX 560 version on Newegg goes for 249.99. $500 vs $530. The MSI Twin Frozr II 560 is the best one you can buy. It comes pre-overclocked for some extra power, and the custom cooler on it works wonders and allows even more overclocking.

This is a review for the 590, but the charts have pretty much every modern configuration out there at the moment, including the 560ti in SLI. It outperforms the 580. http://www.anandtech.com/show/4239/n...le-card-king/1

I'd suggest the 2500k over the 2600k as well. It'll save you a good bit of money and there's really not a great deal of performance difference. Hyperthreading will only really make a big difference if you intend to do heavy duty encoding or have a lot of programs that you use regularly that can take advantage of multiple threads.

Here's a good article on how multiple cores affect gaming: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpu...o-games-need/1 (not exactly about hyperthreading, but as you can see, once you get past the 3 core mark there's basically no improvement)

Here's an in-depth article on the LGA 1155 CPUs with direct comparisons between the 2600k and 2500k: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpu...ridge-review/1

Otherwise, save yourself the 60 bucks and get the 2500k and a good CPU cooler and OC the balls off of it.
  11. Yes they do. As you can probably tell, this allows MMs to stack those debuffs insanely fast. There is a cap, however. Don't know the numbers behind it all, though. I'm thinking the dot/-res one will be the most useful for MMs. Though the -regen one would be super useful for AV soloing.

I'm not sure I'm familiar or understand this particular issue you're discussing. Can you re-post it in quick bullet-point format for me to add?
  13. Hi guys! Just wanted to let you know that I'm still monitoring the thread and will update it tomorrow (well, today I guess. Wow it's late.) Keep it coming.
  14. Dark Pit + Howling Twilight = boss level stun. Get enough recharge to use that on every spawn and you can't possibly suck. Stack em both up with Oppressive Gloom and ensure that everything is stunned at all times.

Focus on control, -to-hit and debuffing. Don't go into the fight thinking you're gonna be some kind of ultimate *** kicker. Your role as a Dark/Dark is to debuff your enemies into useless piles of immobilized, to-hit floored, punching bags. Take manuevers and shadow fall and slot em both for defense to help your team out even more.

    D/Ds are legendary builds.

Soul Drain will help your low damage.

And as Steel said, craft your purple IOs and sell em. CRAFT being the keyword. You'll get a lot more for it that way. Don't know exactly what you have, but I got 700 million for a single Apoc triple crafted.

If I were making a D/D Corr, this is how I would do it:

Assuming you get a good amount of money from the Purples, you should be able to afford most of this stuff.
  15. You are right. It is actually a terrible idea :P
  16. How 'bout making DS a power that causes the enemies hit to be "shuffled" through dimensions. Basically, the target is swapped with a random multi-verse version of himself.

1.) So for example, you hit Bone Daddy with DS.

2.) He vanishes, and Council minion appears.

Why? Because in some other dimension this guy actually joined the Council instead of the Skulls.

Or maybe he comes back as a random, non-combat NPC. A construction worker. In this dimension he decided to avoid the life of crime and get a real job. (man that would be a cruel power.)

Probably useless, and potentially more detrimental to a team than not, but it would pretty damn funny.

Another: What if Dimension Shift made a Dispersion Field type of bubble around you. Anyone inside the bubble, including you, will be phased. That includes the enemies. So as long as you're inside the bubble you can attack the enemies also inside the bubble. You and your teammates inside the bubble would be safe from anything outside the bubble. Likewise, players would be unable to affect any thing inside the bubble if they themselves aren't in it. Also, inside of this bubble you are constantly under a state of power build-up. This is your domain, and you are the master of it. It would have to be a click with a long recharge/short duration. Possible to perma, but only with heavy investment. This could allow players to pop in and out of danger at will to use controls. They could also use it to provide cover to teammates who are getting pounded by ranged attacks.
  17. You can use your mastery over gravity to pick up practically any object and spin it at incredible speeds. A force field you envelope around the spinning object keeps it from exploding outwards, and the incredible friction you're creating causes the object to build up a ton of heat. Then you lob it at a target, at which point the force field pops and the built up heat explodes out.

Also, you choose to throw baseballs, because you're former baseball pitching great Roger Clemens.
  18. If you wanna think of it another way, having it on multiple powers increases the chances that it will fire off. Taking the example of the Rad/ corr, if it didn't trigger on Neutrino, you'd still have another chance with X-Ray.

I'm trying to keep them succinct as possible by just listing the issues, with detailed explanations kept for discussion.

    Quote:
Re-applying defenses from Force Field or Thermal can be very tedious. An MM with 6 pets might not want to buff the team he's on after buffing 6 Pets. Perhaps a mechanic like what is used on the Pet Empowerment powers could be used. What I mean is, buffing the team would have to be done individually as always but buffing the pets could be done once. Maybe with an AoE so stray pets are left out.
That's actually not a bad idea. MM's by nature are handling large quantities of critters at any one time. Between buffing henchmen and teammates, ST buffs like Thermal and FF every few minutes gets incredibly tedious. Adding a smallish AoE to the MM versions of the ST buffs would help to cut down on the tedium and help differentiate the MM secondaries from the Defender/Corr/Troller versions. Not a bad idea since all ATs are going to have access to powerful pets with MM style controls in i20.
  20. Updated the main post with all the latest issues (except for Comicsluvr's, who I will update tomorrow). Thanks for the help so far everyone! It's turning into.... quite the monster.
