just a little tip when you do it.. have someone on the team that knows how its done (by actually doing it, not by having it read from some site) and make sure the team knows what has to be done BEFORE entering the mish. Seeing time is very tight and teamwork is essential, a team knowing the plan is very important.

Tip: When you find a master illusionist, wait until he summons the illusionist, kill it, leave the MI alone. Wait until he casts another, rinse and repeat. It is the best way to kill 100 of them, as you are unlikely to get enough from the missions alone.
[/ QUOTE ]
actually its better to run an 8 man invincible team and just kill decoys AND the MI in a story arc. The recharge rate for the decoys is massive, and last time we tried farming one, we ended up spending 3 hours and only having killed 12 decoys. -

This did go down, so to speak. Thank you to all who assisted
Our tests, aside from affording us the opportunity to hurt some DE GMs, proved fruitless. So we've eliminated some options.
Next tests will take place on the 13th. These will be tougher. Much debt will there be.

pity... be sure to send me a log of the events so i know where to pick it up next friday -
btw, not knowing when you're on n such, could i get invite to global chan so my alt(s) can join as well?
-
right, as we all know there are alot of conspiracy theories about another way to beat hami, read about it here: clicky
The only way to test these theories is of course to actually execute em. Therefore after scouting the hive again tonight some of us came up with a plan to check out the hive and see if we can solve the riddle of hamidon.
Everybody that doesnt mind spending a few hours in the hive with possibly no result whatsoever and most likely gaining some debt is welcome to join. The plan is to test our crazy theories friday the 6th of january 18:00 GMT, led by Velvet Noir (I alas cant make it then) and if we dont crack the code we will continue friday the 13th of january, 19:00 GMT led by me.
If interested, sign up here. We will need quite some people to take down the GMs in the zone to test our ideas. Our aim is to get bout 30-40 heroes there to test it. So dont be shy and sign up here. Also join the global channel "Riddle of Hamidon" if you still got a spare slot in your global chan list.
Edit for accuracy: The primary goal is to find the METHOD to kill hami, not to actually kill him. would be nice if we could, but its nice if we actually find a way to do it. -

Also... Behold the cave of mystery
[/ QUOTE ]
well i actually done some more research into it. There are 8 hills surrounding hamidon which are surrounded by "super swarms" On all those 8 hills but 1 (the one with the tiny forest on it) I found those cave doors. However they arent clickable. I've mapped em all here: clicky - the cyan lines are the lines of super swarms, the red dots are the doors.
Maybe something triggers em to open? I'm pretty sure on that one hill where i havent found it is one as well. If there isnt.. well that one also has the tiny forest, hasnt it? If you add all those doors up you get 9 doors mapped, with possible more.
EDIT: found more doors and mapped it -

Teleport and super jump are the best fleeing powers, so you might want to get one of those.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd recommend teleport as fleeing power. The other fleeing powers never survived long on my ice patch -
personally I found out that ice tanks profit ALOT from fortitude. It takes me back to pre-ED mob ownage if I get fort on Duke
. On a side note, if you dont have ice tanks in the team, I'd say the one who misses the most or anybody thats heavy on def buffs to give it. Most of times fortitude's def boost is overlooked and ppl most of times only grant it for the +dam/acc

how about "me AND double"? doing long, long TFs with no blasters, just us as two WS will show you how much damage we can really, really do, while our resistance cap is 85% is fully used.

ECLIPSE FTW!!!111!!!1! -

btw , tanks are no treat in pvp :P At lvl 25 they problably only have 2 or 3 atacks !
[/ QUOTE ]
meh, good tanks cant be taken down easily either in BBi got 4 attacks in BB: brawl, frozen fists, air superiority and frost and of course taunt which i dont class as attack. Might respec to swap frost and ice sword (got ice sword at 30). However CE + Ice Patch can keep the enemies at bay while I just let my teammates pummel them. And of course taunts help as well. A good tanker's threat doesnt come from the damage, but to prevent your damage from reaching his teammates.

i think pokemon should be affected by ED as well...
"if you have more than 3 pikachu, nr 4 and above will get nerfed by reducing its cuteness factor!"
anyway.. transformers, mask and turtles FTW!! -
the mitos arent a threat, but for reference purposes:
Green Mitos are like empaths, they just spam heals on other mitos when they're damaged
Yellow Mitos just do nasty damage, nothing more, nothing less
Blue Mitos do medium damage but supplement this with holds and stuns
Basically a group sweeping through it can easily clear the mitos, which was never the problem in earlier raids. However these also depended on a PA bomb team and alot of heroes doing massive damage.
I doubt that if it IS possible to raid hami with as little as 30 heroes, you are supposed to sweep n kill those mitos. Especially seeing the yellow mitos can 1shot squishies and they take a while to go down.
Havin chatted with Jiaozy yesterday and now checking the map, here's my thought (and Jiaozy and Noir as well). According to the devs, he has been beaten with 27 heroes (by the devs). If you have 3 full teams you still have 3 seperate heroes left.
Now on the map there are also 3 of those little forest areas, with a clearing in it. Maybe 3 teams need to take down all the monsters surrounding those forests, while the 3 remaining have some sort of special purpose to fill elsewhere on the map.
My guess (and i may be WAY off chart with this) is that it has something to do with the destroyed portal corp building. Especially seeing the badge there is called "time bandit" which might indicate a clue. Maybe when you clear those forests, some glowy of sorts is enabled in the portal corp building, kinda like a giant "nerf hami" button. Maybe its some broken time portal, maybe it turns those lieuts back into heroes that fight with you, maybe.. maybe it summons a giant rikti spaceship that crashlands on the blob..
If we can get bout 30 or so ppl available we could test some stuff in the hive. My guess, just like Jiaozy is that those 3 forests are kinda like the shield generators in the sewer trial.
But then again, this is all 1 big conspiracy theory -

Yesterday in sirens i fought a ice dom and ice corrupter team, I'd always smash on the dom, the corrupter ran off and tped the dom away to safety. Well, till I just held the dom, watch the corrupter run and then just smash on the corrupter . After that they had to call in some heavy damage support to take me down heh
[/ QUOTE ]
Ahhhhhhhh it was you. Heavy damage support = 4/5 villains pummeling away. Man you take one hell of a beating.
Last nite was very fun though (can't believe how late people are staying on now) even though in the mass battles lasted about 3 seconds.
The only tactics we had last nite was kill the damn empaths. Having two of them meant we got no where as heros were constantly buffed and healed.
[/ QUOTE ]
meh, and here i was without an empath cause that team was fullshould see me take a beating with empath support

yeah thats the major prob of it all, if ppl who have outlvled it can actually do the mishes themselves, they can counter the debuffs.
Also another thing i thought of, as soon as you accept a mish in the pvp zone, your "pvp in:" timer disables. Cause most of times those 25 secs (as soon as you are able to call contact anyway) are enough to hop from mish to mish. People can affect the PvP game, gain extra xp through "risk", without actually be at risk of being PvPed. -
btw, adrenalin will be in SG at the least, dunno if ill swap the other alts from current SG, gotta check if out if im awake enough tomorrow
-
im in.. or:
@stagefright
Stagefright - ill/ff troller (50 already)
Nefarious - triform Warshade (50 by end of jan hopefully)
Ice Duke - ice/ice tank
Lady Earth - earth/storm controller
Blue Anarchy. - nrg/nrg blaster
Lightstriker - human Peacebringer
Adrenalin - kin/elec defender -
aight, my first goal is gettin nef to 50 by end of jan
4 weeks for 10 lvls.. should be doable even with my severe case of altitis
maybe an idea to make a global channel for this purpose? -
yeah i've seen those monster walls alot of times as well, but i reckon they serve some higher purpose than just blocking it for sprinters, after all I expect the devs to know that everybody 45+ will have a travel power

YAY frosty and nefarious...

just tell me which char you would prefer.. -
pah why do all these badgehunting teams happen at times when im not available
anyway for first respec, count me in -
bit of a prob with the demo files.. I cant seem to get a decent AVI rip to edit from it. I tried fraps, but seeing I play at a higher resolution than fraps supports, I cant fit the full screen on it. I try to tinker around a bit, but seein im goin away on a long weekend's holiday tomorrow eve, I might not be able to get one till monday at the earliest.
-
lets not get started on the bobthedemon topic shall we
before we know it, it will result in flamewars all over again and once more theres a locked topic
Don't feed the trolls
As to come back to my earlier statement, anybody up for a test run on hami, say, this monday or summit? To find out if the hive harbors some kind of secret? -
pick yer poison
Ice Duke - 30 ice/ice tank
Lady Earth - 23 earth/storm troller
Blue Anarchy. - 14 nrg/nrg blaster
Lightstriker - 11 human pb
Adrenalin - 11 kin/elec defender
duke, lady and light are already in SG though -
I wouldnt mind the buff/debuff being removed. Problem is, PvE people interfere with PvP content (the buffs). If I remember right, there were plans for doing PvP mishes, yet it is still too hard to implement.
My idea would be to remove them now and just have normal mishes with the extra xp and risk of getting killed on your way there. Once/If we can have pvp mishes, you can add the buff/debuff on those mishes, to ensue only those interested in PvP can affect the PvP game.
I wouldn't suggest removing the mishes completely as they are indeed good xp and there is no reason to remove PvE content if you can just stop it from interfering with PvP content.
Another idea might be that the exemped people can still get mishes from the contact to counter those buffs/debuffs. -
just gimme my faithful empath to spam fortitude on me and watch the villains drop
but indeed most teams are just "scout teams" where they shout "enemies here!!" where they gang up and kill em.
I always think most effective teams are bout 4/5 ppl max, as its easy to keep track of em and can result in good team work.
Yesterday in sirens i fought a ice dom and ice corrupter team, I'd always smash on the dom, the corrupter ran off and tped the dom away to safety. Well, till I just held the dom, watch the corrupter run and then just smash on the corrupter. After that they had to call in some heavy damage support to take me down heh
