well this is most unpleasing, but to tell the truth the severe lack of communication on ncsofts part through this whole ordeal is just lacking finesse

first they say nothing and just tell the devs to tell us what they were told

second there have been 0 responses to the publicity they have received in the last week

third they have been avoiding how they will handle refunds if the game does shut down (i do agree what they have sent the OP was a generic form letter)

im not happy they are potentially trying to herd us into another one of their games, as i said in other threads if coh does not stay alive ncsoft has lost a customer permanently

i have noticed this a bit too, there are a great many articles but in many there are prolly 1/4-1/2 of the commenters trolling/flaming/misinterpreting

while it is good to see coh in the news, i think that some of the wording that some of the articles takes does make it seem more like a protest, almost half or more of the articles use protest in the title


i think one of the few news places thats actually made good coverage regarding whats happening is massively because they have also been the most proactive in trying to research/keep track of whats going on

i also think the word protest has been used a lot because one of the first things that is linked is the petition, and petitions are usually considered forms of protest

there could be other factors contributing as well, but i do agree that some of the news sites may be misinterpreting what we are trying to do (negative articles though are bound to pop up, either from trolls or from poeple who do not understand nor had experience with something of this magnitude)

i remember hearing about it before, but its quite interesting, i might have to try that out since ive seen every other easter egg in the game so far

merging the servers wouldnt really solve anything, if anything it would drive more poeple away due to losing their names

and donations wouldnt really do anything, coh was still profitable according to their last quarters reports so donating MORE wont make them change their minds

donating WILL come in handy if ncsoft is willing to sell coh to the now-former devs, which while is a longshot in and of itself, its the best possible option that can come of this current situation

if we made a coh version of minecraft i might actually play minecraft lol

ive been on victory for 6 years and nobody seems to remember me lol

as of now the petition has gotten over 15000 supporters

while it is true that the boycott movement is not gonna do much, i still refuse to support them if they kill off this game, i dont care how good guild wars 2 is or how much money its making them, they still lost a potential customer here, and even though ill im only 1 person, if coh does go down i will still start spreading hate of ncsoft saying that they could randomly shut your game down at any time without so much as a warning.

if ncsoft is not willing to sell coh and lets it die, then ncsoft will not receive any support from me and if anything negative publicity in the form of word of mouth and internet posts.

right now i am working with all of the other people who are trying to be reasonable with ncsoft to get them to sell coh to either the current devs or the titan network guys, but if they are unwilling to be reasonable then they get no more chances

i think ill miss almost every system in this game, so much freedom to do what/when/how you wanted and at what difficulty

i have to agree that was pretty epic lol

you know the servers are physically located in america already lol

im not mentioned as a badger? for shame! (jk)

hopefully said update is that they would be willing to sell the game and allow the studio to seperate lol, but i guess thats the best case

if they could enable VIP for all while we gather more publicity that would be great too

saw this on the titan forums and felt it best to add here as well. the news has gotten on G4s mmo report and briefly mentions that there are efforts being made by the fans to save the game

while its not a huge spotlight its still TV coverage

i would also agree that the studio is first

these devs are the best devs ever and any other game just wouldnt be the same without them

even more reason to continue fighting for our right to play our toons how we want! lol

its amazing how far we have come in 1 week, just think about after the unity event and the publicity that will bring along with the petition nearing 15000 supporters

i would expect hard copies still exist, but they are rarer to find in stores because they more or less stopped with hard copies once the game went to the hybrid model

the most recent hard copy is going rogue

i think you guys best bet would be to talk to cuppamanga about this since they are the mac guru lol

you know you dont have to cross post this lol, just post it in the prominent threads about media actions so poeple can copy/paste ect
