  1. i play it on occasion, the only thing i really do in it is achievement farm cause normal matches are too hard to work on most of the achievements

    i also dont really care for the game style of normal matches anyway

    i agree that the server/local friends are kind of pointless, it allows you to track only ONE toon on ONE of your toons, and with this being an alt heavy game, most poeple could easily have nearly 40 toons on a single server, not to mention that the local friend thing is for your server only and many people are multiple server too

    In other words, yes, "reward creep", just as I was pointing out.

    technically ambush farms were not exploits, that was just leveraging the tools given to us (i never liked ambush farms though, they werent friendly to lowbies)

    now loading a map full of buff bots was borderline exploitation since you could cap most of your stats and farm with pretty much no fear of dying regardless which AT you were
  6. purely graphic effects i would prolly suggest kin melee

    it has a lot of flashy graphics and lots of sound effects, it also just happens to be decent with actual gameplay too


    broadsword while it isnt too flashy is great for concept characters who use swords


    secondaries there are not a whole lot of really flashy secondaries, although elec and fire armor have prolly the most standout graphics, and stone armor is also good too if you like looking like a DE monster with the tier 9 lol


    as for epic powers, thats up to you, honestly they are all about the same IMO

    CoH Story Mode

    a lot of what your suggesting is basically already implemented in ouroboros

    flashbacks allow you to run content basically in the order its supposed to be(ie low to high lvl)

    and ouroboros tfs like mender lazarus and mender silos tfs are referencing parts of the past which have happened (i think mender lazarus tf shows the fall of the 5th column for example which takes place way before the games timeline actually starts when you are a fresh created character)


    now would more ouroboros tfs like the one i mentioned above showing other events of the past? sure why not always fun for a play through here or there

  10. i agree that one of 2 things should be done to the friends list

    either A) increase the max size of the list
    or B) have a column that shows "last online" so we can actually tell who hasnt been on in 3+ years lol


    just showing when the player was last online would be a great way of telling if they even play the game anymore, if the person hasnt been on in 3-5 years its possible they wont come back
  11. i think its possible they are gonna leave as is cause these enhancements are gonna become very scarce once the event is over because of how awesome they are

    i think the main reason nobody uses it to farm anymore is cause they got their ambush farms nerfed into oblivion lol

    so its either wade through a map with baddies tailored to be weak to you, or wade through a map of standard enemies that arent too tough

    the AE map is prolly easier to fight through, but you dont get jack for rewards except inf and tickets, or xp if thats what your after

    the standard map with standard baddies might be slightly tougher but you also get more rewards such as purples which are unattainable in AE aside from the dev choice content


    another potential reason for the lack of AE is the lack of incarnate rewards outside of dev choice, and the only incarnate rewards are shards which most poeple rarely use anymore unless they solo a lot
  13. i think ice slick is better kb than earthquake, but im finally glad they made a mostly niche power useful

    im actually excited to roll a fire control/nature affinity when we get the set out

    before bonfire was always that skippable power now its gonna be and almost must take, which means smoke is the one that is gonna be the skippable one
  14. aside from it being unfeasible code wise, this would be the very essence of pay to win in this game

    being able to 6 slot every power is too much power and it makes build making almost moot since you will essentially have unlimited slots

    for the sake of balance, definitely unsigned
  15. how i view the kb proc in bonfire is basically ice slick + rain of fire lol

    although it does better mitigation for slightly less dmg lol
  16. the reason not being perma annoys me is we already have at least 3 click to use incarnate powers PLUS whatever our own characters have without that, so some characters can have like 5-6 click buff powers

    without the ability to set more than 1 on auto, it makes the minimal buff that hybrid provides VERY annoying to retoggle every 4 min (since thats the avg time of hasten, and many other click buffs)

    plus if you lag and accidentally double click it, then your out of the buff for another 2 min as the OP was describing

    the way it was originally designed with an end cost was fine, the current design is garbage, the powers should either A) be perma toggle, or B) just be autos like interface cause they aint that much stronger than interface and we have that on all the time
  17. for the hacker you can ignore or kill the 2 guards and it doesnt affect getting the perfect badge
  18. in the 18 runs of the event i did yesterday i only got 2 of the kb converters lol
  19. if you split 2/2 on each door, and use aoes, if you get them down to at least 50% or less hp it still counts as a kill at the end of the round

    if you are going for even then you need at least 38 on each round to get the 75, of course the more ninjas you get the less monkeys you have to get
  20. hybrid isnt broken, but i do agree with you that its prolly the most useless incarnate power to date

    if it doesnt go up to perma status i may stop bothering slotting it cause even the passive bonus is so low its near negligible as its barely stronger than a set bonus
  21. you just brought up the main reason why i dislike trials, i HATE the random reward table, getting anything less than a rare feels like i wasted my time cause i could have done a DA arc for common or uncommon by myself without the need for a team

    the only trial really worth running is the underground since it is a guaranteed rare or very rare for completion

    the longbow are still the best -regen, robotic drones do piddly amounts of -regen compared to the cataphract

    robotic drones do -50% regen for 5 or 10 sec longbow boss pet does -500% regen for 30 sec on a power that rech in 4 sec

    i do agree the nullifier is kind of useless but he is a ranged pet so he doesnt die as fast

    interesting, where does that adamastor actually appear in game though? the only attack in there i recognize the GM to have is the earthen prison and the shockwave stomp, ive looked at the detailed info on all his attacks and one of his vomit attacks is neg energy and one is toxic

    when im in game tomorrow i can look up all his attacks when i fight him again (its 2:30 am for me now, too tired to get in game lol)

    i suppose it is possible that there is a unique version of adamastor that appears in a mish in some random arc unless the redtomax page is describing the GM
