Are they going to fix hybrid as a click to cast or a a true never ending toggle?

As it stands now, it's the most uneventful release in the game.

I clicked it twice due to lag and ... poof, it's not working and can't be restarted for 5 min or whatever the ungawdly timeout it has.

I can't possibly see why anyone would want to turn it off since it doesn't last forever. I guess they were hoping we would run out of endurance and be forced to recast.

so far I hate hybrid and want it fixed

hybrid isnt broken, but i do agree with you that its prolly the most useless incarnate power to date

if it doesnt go up to perma status i may stop bothering slotting it cause even the passive bonus is so low its near negligible as its barely stronger than a set bonus

Personally, I like Hybrid. I don't think it's quite as powerful as some of the other incarnate slots, but then again, I have read the dev feedback and totally understand where they are coming from.

I can only speak for Assault, because that's what I have on my Dom and WS, but personally I really like it. 10% passive damage bonus is actually pretty nice, and over twice as powerful as an Ultimate Damage Increase (purple) set bonus of 4%. It's not as uber on my WS, since I can cap my own damage pretty much all the time via Mire, but my dominator thinks its great!

Also, using the Radial version adds some very nice burst damage to both characters while active. It doesn't exactly change the way I play them, but it certainly hastens the destruction of spawns while its active. I can activate it right before facing a major boss (EB or AV) and it significantly helps with taking them down.

I don't understand the attitude of "It's not perma so it's worthless". It's quite a powerful buff while it's active, and with a 50% uptime and only 2min downtime, it's easy to leverage it so that you have it available exactly when it's most useful.

Again, this is speaking only for the proactive Hybrid toggles, like Assault. The more reactive Melee type could be problematic.

the reason not being perma annoys me is we already have at least 3 click to use incarnate powers PLUS whatever our own characters have without that, so some characters can have like 5-6 click buff powers

without the ability to set more than 1 on auto, it makes the minimal buff that hybrid provides VERY annoying to retoggle every 4 min (since thats the avg time of hasten, and many other click buffs)

plus if you lag and accidentally double click it, then your out of the buff for another 2 min as the OP was describing

the way it was originally designed with an end cost was fine, the current design is garbage, the powers should either A) be perma toggle, or B) just be autos like interface cause they aint that much stronger than interface and we have that on all the time

I've been using the Melee hybrid on my rad/rad Defender (who's always been played in melee range), and it makes a huge difference. I can see where the people complaining are coming from somewhat, but I can't agree that hybrid is 'useless'. I've got good mileage out of it.
