  1. Hmm. I didn't read the whole post and thought he had fire powers... I'll correct that now. Please ignore my previous entry.

    Aero Colouring Competiton Entry
  2. I'll right, I'll give it a go. I warn you, I may be a first time Creative poster but that doesn't mean I'm new to this sort of stuff!

A mere hour later and Viola!
I was even kind enough to resize it for your puny 15" monitor screen!
  3. I recently ran some numbers and was shocked to find Psi rather heavily resisted (Well not resisted as such but very few have an actual weakness to it). I was shocked... ok not that shocked, but what I was shocked at was that Energy and N. Energy is quite likely the least resisted Damage type that a Defender has access to (Toxic is of course the least resisted of all by a long way but Pure N. Energy and Energy are not that far behind. Same goes for pure Fire or pure Cold Damage but pure Cold/Energy is hard to come across, most of the time it is coupled with smashing.)

So My bet would go with Rad as being the superior choice... Pure Energy Damage, a 10% ACC bonus as standard and reduces defence... making them even easier to hit
  4. SS is very poor for PvP, Smashing DMG is resisted by everyone and their grandmother. Unfortunatly for everyone EM, Dark, Fire or ELM Infact every other primary has advantages over SS. The only gems of SS are Rage and KO Blow. Both are not well thought of in PvP as Rage has an annoying crash that can spell certain doom and KO Blow is long in activation. Stone melee has the same type of DMG but has higher values so is better for burst DMG (exactly what you want in PvP (this is a real shame because nothing makes you feel more like a brute than a punch, haymaker, KO blow combo.)

    a trio :D:D

If you want to be a brute and really feel like one then I recommend either Super Strength or Stone Melee. Both of these sets have very fast animations (allowing you to build fury FASTER!) and the sound effects when hitting your foe will leave you in no doubt that you are the King of SMASH!
Even if they are the second most highly resisted DMG type (second only to lethal) you will feel like a brute which is a serious plus in my book. The game is about fun, pick up a brute and feel what he can do. Play untill you know that you can tolerate the effects (including sound) and are having fun with your SMASH!

Edit: I've forgotten, is it one ! or !!! for SMASH?

    Can Claws PvP?

I've had alot, and I mean alot, of experience of Claws. I don't like anywhere except Sirens Call. I'm still open to any build suggestions anyone has. (I can't find a single one online that is built for PvP exclusivly)

I don't really want to go Regen because I always go Regen. Can someone help me in what Powers from the Super-Reflexes or Ninjitsu I should pick and which are worthless. (for PvP)

(Claws is a pretty scrappy set so I'll need alot of protection... which isn't ideal but like I said, I'll show all of you when I get to SC )

    Can Claws PvP?

After messing about in HeroBuilder I have settled on Regen... Again. This is because with Instant Healing availible at lvl28 it lets me have a Ghetto teir 9 in Sirens Call which is a serious plus, Integration is just a fantastic power boosting my heal rate and pretty much full status protection. I'm not getting stealth just because I won't be needing it nearly as much in SC as in higher lvl PvP zones.

    Can Claws PvP?

Do not worry yourself. I know that AS is not in any way, shape or form the be all and end all of PvP. A BU'd Crit Focus will be much more unexpected and have the added bonus of 100% knockdown (to squishies... my main targets )
  9. Nanolathe

    Can Claws PvP?

Which I can't use in SC
Yea. I wish I could ninja edit my 2nd post and put 'Perfectly balenced' rarther than 'Gimp'

EM isn't PvE overpowered... but it is definatly PvP overpowered.
  10. Nanolathe

    Can Claws PvP?

So you're saying that Claws is... umm what's the word... 'Gimp' for PvP without lots of buffs? That's a real shame .

You know what? I don't care! I will single handedly go to Sirens and forge a new reputation for the Claws set!

I think I'll go /Nin, just because I havent tried it past lvl 6 yet.

    Can Claws PvP?

Never done any PvPing before, but as with anything; I'll try it once.

The post title is all that need be said... but I'll write on anyways. I have a real soft spot for Claws, it's fast, very efficient and Focus is just too good. But can it PvP? Specifically can it PvP in Sirens? (where I want to do most of my PvPing)

If Claws can PvP what should I pair it with Secondary-wise? (I would prefer not to have ANOTHER regen, but if that's all that's good I'll take it)

Lastly, What should my build look like when I'm PvPing?

    Thanking you in advance.

    We rule

We can scrap it out (with Ninja Blade/Katana, Claws or Dark Melee) Infact I had a one on one duel with my Claws/Regen Stalker vs a Claws/Regen Scrapper. Niether one of could die for a long while, so I moved the fight to somewhere where I had a terrain advantage. Still took me a good 5 mins to kill him after that. Placate FTW!
  13. Mind/Ice is the most controling as Mind/* is very high on control, but "sacrifices" a pet, (meaning a lot less aggro onto you. "Sacrifices" should really read "Gets rid of a useless" .) and the soft control from */Ice (the slows etc...) mount up into a formidable controling machine. Not sure on the damage this set dishes but at least nothing will be fighting back, for a long long time.
  14. "The best crowd control" you say?
Mind/* no question, Infact some people say that it has too much control
  15. That may be an acception. However the time you have to invest in charging him up is not really worth it. (at least that is my personal opinion)
  16. Epic Pets are very rarely useful at all, let alone in PvP. Poor return on the amount of time required to charge.
  17. Impressive. Most impressive I must say. The Halo one is very high quality. I have to say though that the mask of Mentazm is very dodgy in This one. The perspective is way off. Infact I don't like the perspective on Mentazm at all. But Tangerine is fantastic. Nice pose.
  18. I just don't understand what you want here X. When you summon a new FFG the old one blows up and the new one takes its place where you just cast... What exactly is the problem? Since it is not a valid pet I don't think there is a command to just make it blow up.
  19. Don't hold your breath. I expect to see 0 new power sets untill I12, why? I10 is Statesmans pet project, and I11 will be for balance.

    Armed Pets, Bug?

Hmmm. Maybe they only fixed Thugs?

    Armed Pets, Bug?

    [u]*Another Update*[u]
Issue 9 now testin on the Test server seems to have fixed this. Bravo... Bravo.
  22. No. AI issues get worse the more pets you have. Until Thugs and Mercs get a 'fix' to stop them playing around like morons I shall be using Bots... as they really do have almost 0 issues.
  23. Ah but then you say Bots are the best with FF X, which I kinda agree on... I guess I just like Ninjas because they are so rare.

Don't be like everyone else! Roll a Ninja MM!

Side Note: I'm not fond of FF as a secondary for a MM though, It either forces you to be a bubble bot for the whole team + your pets, and sometimes even other peoples pets... which really sucks for you. Or you can go solo and have 0 friends because you think 'Your pets are more important' (which they are, but that's a different argument)

DeBuffing MMs are just as good solo or on teams.
(I really do wish FF didn't make you Bubble bot #2371... but it does.)
  24. [ QUOTE ]
And as Sin said, the last 3 powers are in fact skippable

[/ QUOTE ]Call me crazy but I could have sworn that I said that
  25. Both are... under used. Infact Necro, Ninja and Merc are under used, I see Bots and Thugs every day. Personaly, Go Ninja. You'll never have as much on your plate as looking after your Genin; so it's a high demand, high reward set. Mercs are alot safer and much easier to control, But try Ninjas please, the Oni rocks and so do Junin(<-Spelling?)

I'm goning to have to disagree with X here and say if you are using FF as a secondary then Ninjas become 10x more appealing. Having innate +Def as standard Ninjas are the ones who will benifit most from the +Def given by FF. (you know you don't have to use Force bubble... infact I don't; the last 3 FF powers are skippable IMO.)

Last point: Ninjas man! Freakin' NINJAS!
