Alright, fine, have some banter that's what you deem "appropriate."

If the weekly strike target is a TF/SF other than one that is level 50-enabled, does this mean level 50 players (the ones who HAVE to do the WST to get the next levels of the Alpha) will lose out on Incarnate Shards?

Example: First Tuesday, the WST is announced as a Manticore TF. Manticore's TF caps out at level 35. As we all know, Shards only drop at level 50. So again I ask, if the WST isn't a level 50 SF/TF, does that mean level 50 players pining for their next Alpha tier are screwed?

Because, if so, what the hell is the point of running the WST? JUST the Notice of the Well? This reminds me of another MMO (yet again) where I had to run a specific instance until my eyes bled just to get the (or the ingredients for) ONE THING I wanted.

That could get me to leave.
It's because, after being promised there would be a solo option for Incarnate content, there won't be for some time and people with extra time to join TF's have a definite, developer-endorsed upper hand over those who don't. I can name another company who gives trial-enabled players great gear, but Mod 05 would just edit my post (I'll give you a hint: it starts with W and rhymes with "poor raft").

Now, Black Scorpion told us that for a time, there wouldn't be. While a few players may be content with waiting however long for the "solo" options to arrive in I20, players like myself who really don't have the time to do this weekly strike target junk (which feels very #1 Fantasy MMO to me) feel really, really, really cheated.

Have you tried nuking the process in Activity Monitor?

Next time it happens try this:

    Open Utilities>Activity Monitor.
    Find City of Heroes.
    Force it to quit.
If it doesn't quit, find the process named "wineserver".
    Force it to quit.

If that doesn't work... holy crap, man.

This is the test server. This is where changes happen. I remember a wise relative of mine saying "if you want to alter something, start at the source." So here I am.

If you can get the 19.5 content, good for you. I'm one of the people who can't. I'll voice my opinion about it wherever I feel I should, and you really don't have any reason to tell me to do otherwise.

Don't forget how he once handed in a 5 page summary of Catcher In the Rye and, through a series of brilliant actions, actually summarized the cult classic A Clockwork Orange by tricking six other students into writing the report for him after they did his laundry, took the blame for that one time he toilet-papered the principal's house and gave him all their lunch money.

Patience is a virtue to those who have the time to be patient. I avoid the Praetorian market like the plague simply because I don't want to feel like I'm running through pudding.

By the way champ, just because someone disagrees with your opinion doesn't mean they're wrong. Keep that one in mind.

When the stuff IN 19.5 isn't accessible to people who don't have the time to team, you're going to hear about it.

You can deal with it or help suggest ways for solo-oriented players to get the stuff in 19.5, since there's LITERALLY NO WAY for players who don't have time to team to access any of it in a time frame that isn't absolutely stupid.

  11. And another successful thread necromancy. :/

    It's getting real bad.
  12. Just drink your Enriche, you won't notice the blankness.
  13. Pointless argument is pointless.

Seriously; step back and look at all your prior posts, both of you.
  14. Oddly enough, I had an issue earlier this morning. I hit 22 on my Nin/Nin stalker and my Kuji-in Rin (which had been on auto since level 16) had ceased to be on auto-cast and was moved from alt-8 to control-1, replacing my teleporter popmenu. Frustrating.

    Go Lloyd!
  17. Sounds like ToonX is a moron. Keep your chat window open, because IT'S IMPORTANT.
  18. I have to say, the thread necromancy on the forums has been extremely powerful as of late. :/
  19. Here's one for you.

    Most common crashes:
    Assertion Failure
Pigg corruption (could not batch somepigg.pigg, please run updater and try again)
Insta-quits to desktop after memory leak

    Macbook Pro Core i7
    4G DDR SDRAM
    500GB Hard drive
    Nvidia 300M
    Latest build of 10.6

I created a new user account and experienced much fewer crashes (none, actually). I can't confirm that this may be a problem-causing event, but I have crashed much less after disabling Spaces and only having no more than 3 separate desktops. I will also note that something in my admin account must be causing frequent crashes. I also see hundreds of thousands of page-outs from my RAM when CoX crashes.

Your current build with the way you've slotted it might be better improved. Do you have endurance problems running all toggles? If there are atleast 2 NPCs in front of me, cones become valid, if there are atleast 4 npcs in front of me PBAoEs become valid as the dam per end is roughly equal to my single target attacks. All other toggles are good when needed and if needed I'd use them without endurance woes. You seem to like Soul Transfer though and perhaps like me, if that was my last resort to obtain endurance I'd use it.
I think you and I may have different... Levels of play analysis. It sounds to me like you're coming from a min/max perspective. I build for fun, and I can comfortably smash up +2/x8 on this build. My endurance has been manageable even before I slotted Cardiac Radial, so end issues have never plagued me.

  23. I have an arc that revolves around my main, Nalrok Ath'Zim. Part of his "lore" if you will is possessing six tomes that were written by his ancestors. A crazy cult manages to steal five of these tomes and uses them to divine power into themselves. Nalrok would normally be alright with this but he can't stand hearing them pray to his power every wednesday night (don't ask).

He makes a guest appearance in the final mission to take back all of his tomes (after helping you put down a particularly vicious AV), causing you to (technically) fail your mission to the contact who sends you even though the mission completes.

  25. It's a butt-saver. I've used it to hide from patrols when I have absolutely no health. I've also used it for AFK purposes when I'm not sure if wandering enemies are located. I've also used it to indicate I'm AFK in roleplay; nothing says "AFK" like fading to black!
