A few inferences can be made:
Neuron, essential leader of the zone.Neu-tropolis.
Neutral, fitting with the 'morally gray' themes. Neutr-opolis.
Neutrons (and/or Neutrinos), a potential catalyst in the Keyes Island Reactors. Neutro-polis. -
Quote:Bothell, and I know where Lynnwood is. What jobs were you plugging at, because I only found work after MUCH tribulation up here.Technically I live in Lynnwood (25 miles NE of Seattle), but most people don't know where that is. Hence, Seattle. And yes, Bloodspeaker and I have been up here since July of 2010, since Phoenix proved to be impossible for finding a job.

That video was so annoying I couldn't finish it.
Rambling in a sped-up voice != sound advice for the gaming industry.
And furthermore, if costume pieces in the new Freedom system are literally going to cost anywhere from 1-4 quarters apiece, why is a video on microtransaction price-gouging even relevant? -

YES! EVERYTHING YES!
Oh god. I love you guys. I love you guys so hard.
WANT NOW!
NOOOOOW!
Edited to add: This is for all of you who say the Dev's don't listen:

Having taken several classes on content design, character modeling/rigging, quality assurance, sound design, the whole 9, I can safely say that I both respect the devs and am thankful I don't have their job.
I don't think I could go on these forums as a dev/redname with all the snark and self-entitlement without causing an HR issue. -
Quote:I think I'm gonna do this. Make a Taxibot, that is.Well, in addition to transportation, we used to have badge runs, where a Taxibot would be right next to each exploration badge site in a zone. We'd take folks through the tour, with each Taxi telling the people a bit about the badge they just received, as they were ported to each site in order, then back to the gate or monorail station at the end of the tour.
There are lots of things Taxibots can do other than the "big three" of transportation, healing, and rez.
BY THE WAY...
If anyone does want to create a new Taxibot character, make a robotic-appearing character with the preferred name format of "Taxibot #" where # is the number of your choosing, usually a one or two digit number. You will need to have the "checker" pattern on the torso, arms, and legs. If you want to hide the pattern, make each of the body parts one color, and you can show the checkers only when you go into SG mode and your bot takes on the standard Taxibot black and yellow color scheme.
Edited to Add: Taxibot 5 is now in service!

Quote:You cannot take Haymaker without taking Jab or Punch. It does not, has not, and will never work in any other way.I *did* say it was functionally how it ended up working. It's not exactly a difficult concept to grasp. It's simple - just because A happens before B doesn't mean A causes B.
That's not functionally how it works. That is how it works period. There is absolutely no possible way to take Haymaker before Jab/Punch. The game doesn't work that way outside of the AE. -
Might want to update the link on the boards and the account page, Tex.
And the cider wrapper. Not that I'm grumpy about it or anything. -

Quote:Doesn't change the fact that in the books/comics States spends 85% of his time yelling at Manticore and making a total jerk out of himself.Except that unlike the notion of an omnipotent god, there is nothing about a superhero that makes them inherently incapable of failure, and in fact superheroes that are incapable of failure are dreadfully and unflinchingly boring as hell to everybody.
...Except for Wolverine fanboys, Batman fanboys, and Deadpool fanboys, evidently. -
Quote:I'll do that without needing the Recluse bit by using a variant of Epicurus's quote regarding God:Prove Lord Recluse is a tool, and I shall prove that Statesman is evil.
Is Statesman willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not a superhero. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him a superhero? -

Quote:Player-suggested (and sometimes created) things that were implemented into the game:You guys really are an entitled lot aren't you? This is not your game, it's their game and we pay to play it. If the dev's actually had to run everything by the playerbase every time with "You guys ok with this? May we do it?" nothing would ever happen or change.
Let the guys do what they do best and if you don't like the changes, sure you can voice that opinion but other then that, get over it.

Quote:I like how
"Hey, it'd be nice if we could hear about upcoming changes sooner"
Became
"Devs MUST do what we say ALWAYS"
Because when I read the OP, I thought
"Yeah, Releasing concept art early is a great way to build hype and devs can choose to listen to the feedback, unofficially, or not"
But it's good I was told what this thread really is about.
Bless your heart, strawman. -
PM me, AI. I'd be happy to help. I have a BA in this stuff.

Quote:Gold and Blue may be a good choice. Example:Since the helper name colors have been compromised by those who just want to look cool, may I suggest another visual cue as well? In earlier days, the taxibots really stood out because of their yellow/black, taxi-checkered designs. It was easy to find one and ask for assistance.
May I suggest a return of the taxibot costumes (en mass, I know there are a few still around), or a similar agreed upon color and pattern scheme that shouts "I'm here to help!"
Hopefully the "cool" crowd won't consider this the latest fashion craze.
I would keep my costume on Nalrok mostly normal, but would change his Ascension boots/shoulders/gloves to be gold and blue, signifying that I'm part of the helper crowd.
