I have a favor to ask of any experienced photoshoppers on Virtue... Also, Arachnos.

Well, I'm currently working on expanding the Arachnos Espionage Divisions VV page, as well as the recently... Ahem... 'Acquired' Arachnos Unified Coalition page.

I was wondering if there were any freelance photoshoppers out there willing to make a few banners for both pages. It'd be highly valued to me personally, and what members we have.

For all those lacking the skills of photoshop, I'd like to start a thread detailing Arachnos and how you roleplay with them.

What an amazing lack of interest in Arachnos :|

You have only give people 20min to reply. Go get a Cuppajo and read the paper. Patience....

For something like this I would suggest heading over to the 'Screenshots & Fan creations' Forum. That section is where a lot of the artist are listed and hangout.

Open discussion I wager?

I tend to roleplay my Arbiter like a Priest of the Arachnos religion, one with the belief "If you serve Arachnos, you serve Arachnos. If you fight Arachnos, you make it stronger through conflict, thus you serve Arachnos. All serve in one fashion or another"

But that could just be my interpretation of it.

As for photoshop, I'm afraid I can't be any help.

Ah see.

*Saw it was an hour, translated to twenty minutes*

I really do dislike how slow these forums are.

I really like this.

As for myself, I don't really RP my Huntsman as an arachnos person. Dechs Kaison, my main, became an honorary Arbiter or some such when he completed the Barracuda Strike Force (I think that's the one). I then created an alt named "Marshal Kaison," which was Dechs with a rifle and a bunch of Leadership skills. I very rarely call attention to the Arachnos part of that at all.

Where to now?

This.

I don't tend to draw attention to my Arachnos RP unless another person brings it up. Most of the time though, it's just roleplaying as a person, an individual, not the job they're in. Closest I get is comedy (STF - "Arbiter Sands! You owe me money!")

Hmm... I personally enjoy roleplaying as a part of Arachnos. I just like military themed VG's, and why nothing better than an already pre-set archetype?

Because Recluse is an absolute tool.

A requisite to willingly join a military themed VG is that I can't completely disdain the leader/organizer/general/whatever.

Prove Lord Recluse is a tool, and I shall prove that Statesman is evil.

I'll do that without needing the Recluse bit by using a variant of Epicurus's quote regarding God:

Is Statesman willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not a superhero. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him a superhero?

My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor
"Dark Armor is a complete waste as a tanking set."

I do get into the heavy Arachnos RP with the rights groups of people (When I can find them), but most villains don't want a noticeable Arbiter breathing down their necks and I don't want to get involved in their internal RPs.

Give and take.

I love our Arbiter. He acts like nothing more than an auditor(sc?). He does roll out the occasional Arbiter-Mode RP, but he kinda just stands back and watches the VG.

Arbiter Sands is my rolemodel, or at least what I admire most about Arbiters.

Hmm. I sort of went the opposite direction with my Fortunata, who is pretty much a punch-card member of Arachnos who is unflinchingly loyal to them as a pragmatic business practice rather than any sort of zealotry.

Except that unlike the notion of an omnipotent god, there is nothing about a superhero that makes them inherently incapable of failure, and in fact superheroes that are incapable of failure are dreadfully and unflinchingly boring as hell to everybody.

...Except for Wolverine fanboys, Batman fanboys, and Deadpool fanboys, evidently.

Ice/Ice Blaster. Dedication to concept is an ugly thing.
Claws/WP Brute. Sex without the angst.
Every CoX character lies somewhere on this spectrum.

Doesn't change the fact that in the books/comics States spends 85% of his time yelling at Manticore and making a total jerk out of himself.

The view I took with my SoA is that he is ultimately loyal only to himself but for now finds it useful to be loyal to Arachnos. Lord Recluse is a tool, but he has power and Arachnos has power. As such advancing their goals allows him to build his own power base within the organization and bide his time until the moment is right.

It also means he's one of the few characters I have where the whole Operation Destiny and Incarnate story arcs makes sense. He's seen the future and knows that he can, potentially, unseat Lord Recluse, the trick is in doing it without fracturing Arachnos. He's trying to gain power through the Well in order to be able to prove himself superior to Lord Recluse by such a degree that he can successfully take over Arachnos.

I still can't accept that veaTS don't get a weekly stipend and they never fixed the backpack bug

Ps
Weekly stipend from being a solider of Arachnos

as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.

I spin my VEAT sort of like a Ministry member a la 1984. He idolizes the organization and doesn't allow himself to question it due to the consequences. Fortunatas work as a sort of thought police, so I think that anyone even close to the upper echelons of Arachnos has to buy into the schtick on a pretty massive level, Recluse-worship and all.
