I spin my VEAT sort of like a Ministry member a la 1984. He idolizes the organization and doesn't allow himself to question it due to the consequences. Fortunatas work as a sort of thought police, so I think that anyone even close to the upper echelons of Arachnos has to buy into the schtick on a pretty massive level, Recluse-worship and all.

I don't know. Game mechanics are game mechanics; they aren't necessarily designed with lore in mind. The fact that Blasters can attack through mez really has no relevance to the kind of hero the AT represents, so I'm not sure that's solid grounds to make RP decisions off of. If someone can come up with a good enough explanation to be anything and play it believably, I tend to roll with it.

This might be completely OT, but I just got back to the game after 2+ years away and had no idea they developed the endgame (there wasn't much of one except for farming for IOs) until I read this rant. Really pumped for Freedom now. Thanks.
